I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we thank You for exposing the depth of fraud and corruption in Minnesota. We ask You to fix this crisis and to ensure taxpayer money never ends up in the hands of terrorists.
Reading Time: 3 minutes

The idea of our government funding terrorism is (sadly) not as surprising as it should be. However, did you know that one deep blue state is pouring massive amounts of money into African terror?

Have you taken your place on the wall?

From City Journal:

Minnesota is drowning in fraud. Billions in taxpayer dollars have been stolen during the administration of Governor Tim Walz alone. Democratic state officials, overseeing one of the most generous welfare regimes in the country, are asleep at the switch. And the media, duty-bound by progressive pieties, refuse to connect the dots.

In many cases, the fraud has allegedly been perpetrated by members of Minnesota’s sizeable Somali community. Federal counterterrorism sources confirm that millions of dollars in stolen funds have been sent back to Somalia, where they ultimately landed in the hands of the terror group Al-Shabaab. As one confidential source put it: “The largest funder of Al-Shabaab is the Minnesota taxpayer.”

Our investigation shows what happens when a tribal mindset meets a bleeding-heart bureaucracy, when imported clan loyalties collide with a political class too timid to offend, and when accusations of racism are cynically deployed to shield criminal behavior. The predictable result is graft, with taxpayers left to foot the bill.

In its investigation, City Journal reveals how programs and nonprofits were taken advantage of by fraudsters. For example, Minnesota’s Medicaid Housing Stabilization Services (HSS) program was abused so badly that state officials moved to scrap it in August of this year, citing “credible allegations of fraud.” Likewise, City Journal also highlights Feeding Our Future, a Minnesota nonprofit that diverted hundreds of millions of dollars of federal funding toward “lavish lifestyles,” “luxury vehicles,” and real estate both at home and abroad.

According to City Journal’s investigation, it is impossible to ignore Minnesota’s Somali community’s involvement in this fraud. In the case of the HHS fraud, Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota Joe Thompson brought charges against 8 individuals, 6 of whom were Somali. Kayesh Magan, a fraud investigator in the state’s Attorney General’s office and a Somali-American herself, stated this issue plainly last year: “We must grapple with something that is uncomfortable and true: Nearly all of the defendants in the cases I’ve listed are from my community. The Somali community.”

Of course, the heavy involvement of Somali-Americans has allowed this defendants hide behind accusations of racism. When Minnesota officials raised questions about Feeding Our Future in 2020, the nonprofit filed a lawsuit alleging racial discrimination. According to David Gaither, a former state senator, the Somali community is also a vitally important electoral block in Minnesota, which is why both the media and the Democratic establishment have shied away from criticizing the rampant fraud in the community.

But where exactly is this money going? According to City Journal, much of it is being sent back to Somalia. And Minnesota taxpayers’ money isn’t just funding Somali households, it’s also funding terror in the nation. City Journal’s investigation revealed that “Minnesota’s Somali community has sent untold millions through a network of “hawalas,” informal clan-based money-traders, that have wound up in the coffers of Al-Shabaab.”

Thanks to City Journal, we know this fraud is funding terror overseas. Now that the information is out there, let’s pray that our leaders step in to fix it. Let’s pray for truth, transparency, and an end to wasteful and fraudulent spending!

Originally from Minnesota. My heart aches as I see all the corruption, crimes, finger pointing going on as a result of exposed Somalian crimes.
I am praying the good people of Minnesota wake up.
Minnesotans are hard working, trusting and generous to help people who are struggling. Unfortunately times have changed. Minnesotans were asleep at the wheel.
Hopefully finding out that $1-$8 billion of Minnesota taxpayers money has been stolen, by the very same people that they have reached out to help, the citizens of Minnesota will open their eyes and get involved in changing this and making themselves wiser. Do research on the people who are running for office. Dig down deep and research these candidates out. You can’t trust the media. Research candidates on the local city level all the way up to the federal level. Pray and ask the God who to vote for. Ask God for wisdom.
I still have family living in Minnesota. My heart aches for them and the other great citizens there. I pray Father God brings the law breakers to justice and then do your due diligence Minnesotans to never allow this to happen again.

Heavenly Father, we speak to the mountain of fraud/abuse deception and darkness. This nation was built on knowing You are the God of all creation, the One in whom we place our trust and believe. It was by Your Divine Providence that this nation was formed and has been sustained. Therefore, we call upon Your name and ask that You rebuild the ruins of this nation and restore us back to You. “And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to dwell in”. Isaiah 58:12 Thank You LORD, that You are able to repair the many breaches which continue to be uncovered in this nation. By Your Spirit, bring conviction to the perpetrators/participants of these crimes and in Your mercy bring them to salvation. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

I personally never had any good feelings about Tim Walz when he was the Democrat V.P. candidate. He looked like, and sounded like a progressive idiot, quite frankly. The fact that he has allowed millions of dollars to be sent to Somali to fund terrorism and to enhance lavish lifestyles is SO corrupt and is just plain wrong. Lord Jesus, I pray that this man’s misdeeds are exposed for what they truly are,and that he will be punished accordingly. Thank you Jesus.

Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota should be held accountable as well as their state non-profits involved in the laundering of taxpayer funds to terrorists in Somalia!! How awful and absolutely wicked are Minnesota officials turning a blind eye to all of this theft and corruption!! My prayer is that all of those involved be brought to justice and then held accountable for their actions!! God’s Word is very clear on this matter- THOU SHALL NOT STEAL!”
