I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we thank You for the faithful leaders who continue to rededicate their states, continue to move on the people to intercede, and take back the territory that rightfully belongs to us.

In April of 2024, Ron and Rina Mendinhall became IFA’s Oklahoma State Leaders. Ron was prompted by Holy Spirit to attend the Louisiana Gatekeepers’ Conference. After listening to David and Kris Kubal’s teaching, Rina was grateful the Lord prompted them to be there.  The teachings appealed to both of them, and they found IFA to be good ground. Rina prayed, “Lord, please use me,” and then God opened the door for her and Ron to be state leaders.

Rina shared that, on the National Day of Prayer, the governor and several legislators were present at the State Capitol. The governor signed an earlier proclamation to proclaim May 7th, 2026, as “Oklahoma Day of Prayer.”

“The legislators were meeting in the blue room, and somehow, we got invited to that room. So that’s where several legislators came in and spoke to Ron and me. When that had concluded, we all went outside. There were people there, and different churches were represented by their congregants.

“On June 8th, 2026, at the state capitol, a large room was reserved. While walking through the Capitol Rotunda, you’ll see that the rooms have large glass windows so people can see whoever is in that room. And even though we were on the 4th floor, there are five floors and a ground level in our state capitol, where many walls are not solid; they are glass. We raised our hands, and we glorified God. We wanted to give Him our prayers for this Capitol building, for this structure, for our elected leaders and their staff, for all the people who were there,” Rina said.

The purpose of the meeting that day was to rededicate the state to God and to pray for the upcoming Primary Election. Other intercessors from different churches were present, too.  “We just went ahead and, as we passed through the corridors and touched the doors with our hands of each of the rooms that led to certain offices, or whether they were even for state senators or state representatives. Our prayers were for them to relinquish what they thought was right in their own sight and come to the saving knowledge of Christ. That’s how we got our nation and state; our founding principles were based on God. We rededicated our state to the Lord, every inch of it.”

“Even though there’s a church on every corner out here, we prayed for God’s people to rise up and realize what is coming towards our nation, for the people to stand up in boldness, to proclaim and know and continue to trust the things that God has for our nation, especially in accordance with 2 Chronicles 7:14.”

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

We prayed they would continue to seek God in all their decision-making and be excellent leaders for the residents of Oklahoma. In addition, the group that we were in and that were there individually interceded aloud as the Spirit of the Lord moved each of us.  We all had the opportunity without being told, and it lined up perfectly. We prayed for boldness, for God’s people not to be afraid, because we have seen what happens when people become fearful.

We have many problems in this nation because we have become complacent. They don’t want to say anything; they’d rather let someone else take care of it.

We went ahead and continued to pray that we would need to be there to love people as God loves. As we prayed, an intercessor said, “There is no condemnation. We don’t come in that spirit, that’s not the Holy Spirit, but we come to speak with boldness, to speak the truth in love.”

As we prayed for all our state legislators, we also prayed because our primary election was on Tuesday.  We prayed for all the candidates, since we had a list of them. We prayed that the voters would be led by God and know whom to vote for, and that each individual voter would see voting as a privilege, not as something to be taken lightly. We prayed for protection at the polls and for poll workers as well.

Rina said the rededication went very smoothly, and the man who led did a great job. She said there was unity, it was prevalent, and Holy Spirit was there. There was calmness, such camaraderie. I think it was nice that intercessors from different churches came together for our state to rededicate and pray for our leaders. There were about thirteen people present, but I was informed that there are normally over twenty.

The intercessors meet once a quarter; we do expect to get a notice when they’re going to meet again.  Ron and I will plan to go once we know what that date is and continue to join together for intercession at the Capitol.”

I pray this story encourages intercessors. Ron and Rina have been Oklahoma’s state leaders for a little over two years, and since then, God has opened doors for them. They were invited during the National Day of Prayer to go into a room that put them in the path of the legislators they had been praying for. Only God can open doors and connect people like this, so His purposes will be done.

On the day of the rededication, no Oklahoma leaders were present, nor had they rededicated on their own accord, and that is okay, because faithful intercessors were there to fill the gap and rededicate their state to the Lord. It was about 13 in all, and yet Rina spoke of the spirit of unity and how the Presence of the Lord filled the place as they prayed for their state and leaders.

Because they were obedient and unified in prayer, I believe the answers for Oklahoma will come. The national rededication may have ended on May 17, 2026, but intercessors are still doing rededications across the nation. We thank God for the faithfulness of intercessors like Ron and Rina who pray with their eyes fixed on the Lord. Will you continue to intercede for your state and leaders?

Father, we thank you for the spirit of unity among intercessors and legislators. We pray that you finish the good work you have begun with every ASHP rededication across the state. Open doors for the state leaders to connect with and pray for our elected officials. Let every seed planted by prayer and proclamation yield 30, 60, and 100-fold fruit in this nation. We pray for the salvation of our leaders who don’t know you and turn to you. For those who do, fortify their faith to contend for righteousness in the land, in Jesus ‘ name, amen.
