I Prayed have prayed
Father, do not let us live in fear. Help us to make no provision for the enemy to attack and give our nation wisdom and discernment. Let us stand up for what is right and guide us in Your Word.
Reading Time: 4 minutes

Something about Dave Kubal’s article regarding his eye-witness account of the protests in Washington, DC following the final night of the RNC  drew me even before I read the first word.

I quickly completed answering emails, pushed some other work to the side, and began to read.  Almost immediately, the Lord began to speak to me as I read these riveting words.

I am 6’2”, 230 pounds, and an avid cross fitter. I am not easily intimidated. For the first time in my life, in America, I feared for my physical safety. And where? One block from the White House in our Nation’s Capital.

I sensed a palpable, supernatural, unified spirit of anger. Ephesians 2:2 describes “. . . the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience . . . ” It is one thing to experience the riots and protests from a safe distance on the internet or television. It is another to walk in the midst of what is clearly a spiritual battle.

Fear, as we all know, has invaded our nation.  Everywhere we look these days we face fear in one form or another.

People, like Dave, who are not easily intimated, find themselves in situations where they must stand against this evil spirit of fear that has been unleashed.

Yet, God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Fear is not from God. We must resist it and refuse to give it place in our life.

Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

Freedom from fear is not the only promise God has given us for times like these.

Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways (Psalm 91:9-11).

These are great promises, but the one that gripped my heart as I read Dave’s article is found in Psalm 23:5.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

I have always found this Scripture intriguing.  The last place I would want to sit down and enjoy a meal is in the midst of my enemy!  Yet, God says that is the very place He is setting the table for us.  Not only is He setting a table, but also He is causing us to abound to the point our cup runs over.

Perusing this article, I felt this Scripture was beginning to play out before our eyes.

There are three things God showed me from Dave’s experience.

  1. In this season, even the most confident Christian may find themselves standing against fear. And stand we must.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor 10:4-5).

One thing I have learned in life is this—fear doesn’t always immediately go away, sometimes you have to do it afraid, knowing God is with you.

  1. Many intercessors will find themselves walking in the very midst of the chaos and darkness.

There was a little song we used to sing when I was in elementary school.  It went something like this… “We’re going on a bear hunt, …can’t go under it, can’t go around it, gotta go through it.”

I believe we are going to find ourselves in situations we can’t walk around or avoid, but must walk through.  We may only walk through it spiritually, but walk through it we will.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me (Ps 23:4).

  1. We will walk through the darkness without harm.

I recently heard a minister say God told him, “not one thing you care about will be harmed.”  He went on to say that word was for all of us who would grab hold of it and believe it.  I am one of those, I pray this over my family each day.

It’s not the first time we see this supernatural protection with God.  Daniel went into the lion’s den and came out without harm.  Shadrach, Meshach, Abed Nego went into the fiery furnace and came out, without the smell of smoke.  And remember Lot.  He wasn’t even the one in covenant with God, however, because Abraham, his uncle was, God delivered Him.  His faithfulness is unending.

I am more convinced than ever that God is preparing a table for His children in the very presence of the enemy.  A table of provision, healing, peace, the fullness that was purchased at the cross through the blood of Jesus.  It is the King’s table.  Will we be bold enough to sit at this table in the center of our enemy to eat of all the Lord has prepared for us?

I believe we will!  I also believe Dave Kubal’s experience was a prophetic act.  I believe it is God showing us where we will tread.  Where we MUST tread—in the very midst of our enemies  As the leader of IFApray.org, Dave has walked through that place of fear and intimidation, in the very midst of an enemy who desired to harm him.  He gave that enemy no place.  He continued to press forward.  As will we.

Very true, this is a spiritual battle, between Christ and Satan. That’s why we need to prepare for spiritual battle by putting on the armor that He has provided us and not fear, for God has not given us the spirit of fear and timidity but a spirit of boldness and courage. Fear must not take any part in our lives. We all can live victoriously in Christ if we will NOT give in to fear.

The following scriptures give me peace knowing God is fighting our battle in the presence of our enemies.
Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army of chaos.(Christ Has Authority Over Satan) For the battle is not yours but God’s. You will not have to fight this battle.Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.
Give thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever.
2 Chronicles 20:15, 17,21

Psalm 2

This is just what God told me in a dream recently. I was in danger to be attacked by people but they were the enemy. As one came near me at first I had fear but the Holy Spirit took over and I pointed at the first one and said you will not harm me in the name of Jesus and the man began to have a distorted face and started growling and I cast out the demon. Another that was ready to attack put the club down and I picked it up for protection but God said you can’t use that Stand up, arise, Speak my Word and pray for them. The whole point was it is Spiritual and we need to use the spiritual weapons He has given us to cast out demons, to preach His Word and to bring salvation to the enemy.

Lord, break the power & onslaught of Fear, Hatred, and Greed off our Nation! Tear down these Mountains, raise up the valleys of Hopelessness, Intimidation, and Despair! Prepare a High Way for the entrance of our King! Make us a Way in the Wilderness, Rivers in this Desert!

“Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord . He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse.”
Malachi 4:5‭-‬6

It takes courage to walk in the fear of the Lord.(Daniel, & 3 Hebrew boys in fire) Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge . The Lord is my light and salvation. When I fear the Lord there is nothing else to fear. The Lord is a friend to those that fear Him. The spirit of fear takes all attention off God. the spirit of the fear of the Lord takes all attention off the enemy. The enemy is trying to blind us. The fear of the Lord leads to life and brings security. He shows mercy to all that fear Him. Fear God who can destroy the soul and body. How do we fear the Lord?

Is. 40:12 Who else held the oceans in His Hand? Has measured off the heavens with His fingers? That’s how big God is.Sun is the closest one to us. It takes 21 years to travel to the sun. Yet God measures entire universe. What is bigger to us if God is so big? Why are our prayers so little and our worship so small? I fear God when I make Him the biggest and the first, spiritual disciplines the biggest and the first, obedience the biggest and the first. America is going through a season where we literally see the wicked and the righteous.

O Thou Mighty, Omnipresent Source, Thou dost govern the Universe, the Flame in each human heart! we give love, praise and gratitude unto Thee for Thine own Life, Light and Love in all things. We adore Thee and look only unto Thee, the ‘Presence’ in all things – visible and invisible, evolved and unevolved- Thou ceaselessly flowing Stream of Life Who doth forever pour Thyself into all creation, the One Self in All.

My heart calls unto Thee as never before to arouse these my people to their danger, for of late indifference to Thee is creeping over them like a poisonous breath, producing a soul sleep and drawing a veil before them that shuts out thou Shining Presence. If they must have the experience that consumes and burns away the dross and clouds of the outer self, then do sustain and at last bring them forth in Thy Eternal Perfection. I call unto Thee, Thou Creator of the Universe – Thou Supreme, Omnipotent God!!!

I am so glad to read this article. I have received a couple of emails recently that could really stir up fear and as I was talking to the Lord as my Father in heaven type of talking I found myself praying Father please silence the prince of the power of the air. Then of course I thought “can I pray that?” and I just knew in what I call “my knower” that He hears all my prayers and I can ask for what I’m desiring. He does give us the desires of our hearts. I may sound very immature or childlike. But I’m telling you it was a prayer that came to me. I didn’t go hunting for it.

Hallelujah thank you! Yes, my spirit agrees with you. We need to claim the property of the United States as God’s property…as we walk around our own yards, homes, apartments, areas of business, churches, also claim this as God’s property. March with His authority, claiming it as God’s, to be used for His glory! Go through your homes, and phones, delete, destroy, any ungodly material. Throw out idols, put trashy books and magazines in the garbage, pour boiling water over them, so they can’t infect someone else. Empty your house of evil, and claim God’s protection over you and your family!
Thank You Jesus, Amen!

Isaiah 2 says, He will judge between the nations
and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore.
5 Come, descendants of Jacob,
let us walk in the light of the Lord.
Father God, I pray for those who are rioting to lay down their swords and spears and, instead of fighting, they would create “nourishment” for our nation. I pray that they would not train for war anymore. I pray that you would settle disputes between black and white, between the people of this nation and law enforcement, between the Republicans and the Democrats, between the church and the state (California!), and between believers and unbelievers. I pray for the rioters to simply get tired or rioting. That you would put something in their lives that they desire to do more than they desire to riot. Please, Lord. I pray BIG prayers because you are a God of miracles. NOTHING is too difficult for you. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Wow, God is speaking. I was praying this past week and had an image of my best friend who lives in Chicago walking in the midst of a mob. She is not a follower of Christ and was fearful. In the image I went to her, stood in front of her and told her we needed to press forward and as long as we kept moving we would be safe. We couldn’t stop because the mob would sense our fear and it would embolden them to hurt us and we couldn’t run forward either which might give them a reason to say we were attacking them or that we were afraid. I took this as the Lord saying that I must keep pressing forward in the midst of evil and I will not be harmed. I am not one who would be in the middle of protests as I am a homemaker with three young children, but I am facing battles of evil even within my local school district and since I took a stand this last week, I have experienced peace like I have not known before. God is good. Thank you for sharing this. What a confirmation of what God has been telling me.

Yes, as intercessors, it is important that we remember the enemy is just shadow boxing with us. He knows we walk in all the power and authority of Luke 10:19, no harm shall come to us because we are in Christ Jesus and He is in us. So he tries to get us to take our eyes off of our authority, off of Jesus, and focus on him, fear, anger, bitterness, pride and his antics. We have to stay laser-focused on Jesus, with blinders on–so we don’t even see the distractions the enemy is trying to get us to focus on or worse yet, trap us and get us to speak out in agreement with the lies.

That’s why we have to stay grounded in Jesus, bound to the mind of Christ, the memory of the Holy Spirit. Rejecting the enemy’s lies and resisting the devil so he flees from us. Greater is Christ in us than evil in the world. I loved what one pastor said, you can’t kill that which is already dead. We are dead men walking, alive in Christ, greater things can we do here on earth, because Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father.

We have to do daily communion, daily declare our authority in Luke 10:19, and put on the full armor of God of Eph 6. In 20 years of doing healing/deliverance ministry–I’ll never forget one time I was doing an intense deliverance. The demon spoke and said, you (meaning me), I cannot touch as you have the full Armor of God on, her (meaning my intercessor), I can torment, oppress, and harm. We covered my intercessor really quickly in the Armor and the Blood of Jesus, and took care of that demon dispatching him to the pit of Hell. He was intending on trying to intimidate my intercessor, instead, he revealed one of the most powerful things about decreeing and declaring and believing God’s spoken Word, when we Believers declare a thing, it is established!

The battle is real, we do not fight against flesh and blood, but against powers of darkness, rulers, principalities. The weapons of our warfare (God’s Word/Authority) are not carnal but established for the pulling down of strongholds.

Thank you very encouraging! I’ve been thinking a lot about Martin Luther King’s words in a speech he gave. “Darkness cannot cast out darkness, only light can do that. Hatred can’t cast out hatred, only love can do that.” May we walk in, and become the light of Christ to those around us. May we love those who are not always easy to love. May we stand up for the Lord and vote with Godly integrity. Amen

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;…(Ephesians 6:12-13, 18). “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). In the presence of the enemy our Father leads us in paths of righteousness. We know His voice as sheep we follow. Do we ever consider sitting at the table in the wilderness in the presence of the enemy? That is peace. Try it. There is no FEAR leaning on Him &hearing His heart’s desire for us
Thank you, Jesus, that in your presence IS FULLNESS OF JOY. PSALM 23.

Like Xerxes, Satan, who dominates the airwaves and the atmosphere, is ruling over the hearts of the people who do his bidding by the influence of his thoughts and beliefs. His court is powerless but to obey him. But he is angry because those who sit beyond his gates refuse to bow to him. His plans are for destruction of the church. But there is an adopted daughter of the line if David, who will heap coals of conviction over the head of the destroyer and the Lord will set a table in the presence of His enemies that they will know the full measure of the crimes they have committed. The noose has already been erected and the liar is a dead man walking.

Even as some are called to go out every day and walk among the enemy there are those of us called to be in and bow down in submission to the call to invoke Angels and warriors to surround those in danger.
This isn’t easy since I like being out, talking to others even if it’s only family members. However, the Lord has informed me this obedience has power to defend myself and the enemy. If I want to go and God says no, then I deal with my attitude because when I subsequently find the air pollution index is off the chart and smoke from wildfires surround…I repent of attitude and give Thanksgiving for a Father who guides and guards. True for each and everyone who walks in love for others as well as Abiding…

Karen, I so connect to what you have said. I am 70 years old, I love people, and I am in a very isolated situation. Not by desire or choice. I know God has called me to fervent intercession for America at this time in my life. Others can’t be in prayer for hours at a time. God has given me great passion and joy in intercession. When I start to feel down and lonely, God reminds me that my call is vital for such a time of this! Then my joy returns! I always appreciate your comments.

I am praying for the “do not fear” confidence that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego exhibited: “If it be so, our God, whom we serve, is able to deliver us…But if not…” Can I walk without fear, acceding to God complete sovereignty over my life ? Even if it means being part of verses 35,36,and 37 in the “Faith Hallmark of Fame” Hebrews 11? I weep when I think of our brothers and sisters in China, blindfolded and beaten; in Bangladesh, denied food and water; in Eritrea, packed into shipping containers…

In thinking about the supernatural provision of that table, what would our God provide? “Peace “ not as the world gives , love, a sound mind . The fruits of the spirit .He tells us over and over to “ FEAR NOT “ so that is a part of the provision and all the while as we are feasting He has been preparing our permanent home of residence in and with Him .In all actuality we have it made . We can go on this “bear hunt “fearlessly armed against all the power of the enemy and come out without the smell of smoke on us . Let’s feast . Thank you LORD for You are good and Your mercy yes it endures forever !!!

In the midst of pandemic just trusting in the lord will not protect us. if we choose to sin, sin open the door for the enemy. We have to constantly check our heart and our thoughts too so we maybe blameless. My family 6 out of 7 went through COVID 19. I was the last one to get it and it hit me hardest. From February when my daughter was fighting, it try to get to me but I was able to resist with the scriptures. Until I allowed the fear to grip me in April. When I realize what happened I immediately repented so it was not as bad as it could have been. But I still had to battle. Afterward I know it was my sin open the door but I was struggling because feeling of not being protected. During the fight with Covid 19, I saw thousands of evil spirits attacking me. I fought back with the blood of Jesus and “ I no longer live but Christ lives in me “ for 13 days. I asked everyone Intercessors whom I know for prayers to get me through the battle. I have learned that if you stand alone it is easy to fall. Connecting with the body of Christ for constant prayers give us walls of protection.

Thank God for His Word, what He says about the situation, His table prepared for us in the midst of our enemies.
I’ve been praying this over the body of Christ all over the earth for some years now…
“[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones), And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places], Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come. And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church], [Ps. 8:6.] Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all [for in that body lives the full measure of Him Who makes everything complete, and Who fills everything everywhere with Himself].”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:17-23‬ ‭AMPC‬‬
“May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]. May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]– To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it).”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:16-21‬ ‭AMPC‬‬
