Oh how i relate. I have been struggling with this myself as I do not want to pray for any of this administration. However I would rather obey God and pray according to his word as the Lord is in control. Praise the Lord.
Yes…a thousand times yes! Who (but God) knows what would have been done differently if His people had prayed. I do believe we are experiencing God’s will in this election…for His good purposes. Perhaps it is discipline upon America or perhaps just the progression that needs to take place for the end times scenario. At any rate, we are commanded to pray for our leaders and this time around, I want to be counted as being faithful. Thanks for the great reminder!
Thank you for your thoughts. I was exactly the same way. I believe we as Christians have learned some hard lessons. We may never know until we get to Heaven what a prayer, heard by God on a particular day did. It really amazes me to hear so many people praying together not only on IFA’s sight but the others like Capitol Hill Prayer team and I’m extremely thankful and proud to share in prayer with these Brothers and Sisters. I get excited at times to think that we are coming together for our nation and excited to see what God is going to do. Keep a pen and pad handy and write the answers down. Yes we need to pray our leaders and for those leaders who do not serve the Lord. Since we fight against demonic powers, that is where the focus is. Matthew 16:19, Jesus said, And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you find on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loose in heaven. So we can begin by praying; Father we pray over our leaders and bind pride, lies and deceit on earth and Lord we loose truth and justice over the United States of America in Jesus’s name. We pray those who speak lies, that their mouths will be stopped. We pray for the people’s eyes be opened and receive truth, so that they may see Jesus. You have to pray for Biden, we need God’s will done on earth over everyone.
But, you can pray for God’s judgement and His perfect will.
God is the perfect judge and He will bring His justice, eventually.

I can relate. I felt the same way and did not pray for President Obama. I realize my mistake and will definitely be praying for this new administration.
I too have been choking on praying for them, but I have to step up and agree with Phil. I need to repent; He is not asking us to love them “in the natural”. I am being disobedient to my Heavenly Father and I love Him more than I disdain them. I think the Lord asks us to pray for our enemies because it frees our hearts from deadly bitterness and who knows, maybe some would repent and be saved.
I so agree, but I know many of us were praying that God’s will be done and for whatever reason, I believe that has happened. For a while, I thought sure that the fraud would be dealt with and the outcome, different. It seemed so strange to me that everything President Trump tried to right this wrong met with opposition, or a blind eye. No one would even look at the evidence!I found that to be strange. We KNOW Satan has only limited power and is in effect, on a leash held by God. If God wanted President Trump to still be President, he would have been. Whether this is discipline upon an America that insists on kicking God out of every vestige of public life or whether is is simply setting the stage for the coming lawless one, I do not know. I do know God is still on His Throne and is a fair, just and loving ruler.
Yes, we must pray for our leaders. Jesus, told us to pray for our enemies. Is it hard to pray for them?absolutely! When I start praying for them I start crying as I pray for them , because I don’t want to pray for them. I get angry. But out of obedience let’s pray for them. Leave the rest to the Lord. I too heard many, (prophets) say Trump had 4 more years. I fell into that, well they were wrong. But that’s what I get for not asking for God’s direction.I believe this was fear, keeping my eyes on man. I am not angry at man. I pray all Christians look to God and not man. Since Jesus told us he will return, I recommend trusting in that. I read a lot about prophecy’s of men to fix our problems. Is that not what the Jews thought Christ would do? Pray for God’s mercy, good men act as Jesus instructed and pray for judgment of the wicked.

Years ago I heard someone say that when we come to the Lord to pray for an enemy, and struggle to find words to pray for them, we can merely ask Him to make them into the person He created them to be.
I agree with Phil. I didn’t pray for Obama more than a few times but once when I prayed i felt God give me real insight into His heart for Mr. Obama. I confess and repent for not being diligent to pray more for Obama because of my total distain for him. But this article has helped me to see how important it is to pray for our leaders even the ones we consider evil. It is a command from God to do so.
I pray all believers will follow Gods command to pray for those in authority and pray for our enemies. Proverbs 25:21,22. Pray for Biden to come to The Lord, for Dreams and visions, a visitation from Jesus. Pray for the Holy Spirit to fill the White House, the Oval Office directing the affairs of our nation. God calls us to pray for ALL leaders regardless. No matter what God can use our leaders however He wants but not praying for our leaders leads to hardened hearts and God doesn’t want us to have that.
We can and certainly should pray for these individuals, as we would for anyone else needing salvation.

I’m absolutely feeling the heaviness of the hour in which we live!!! God bless you Saints.
Believers across our country prayed, fasted, and repented. Still this happened. We know that God hears our prayers. So now we must continue to pray, seek the Lord and dig into His word for wisdom and guidance as to what to do next. Whatever our response, it must be in love, praying for those with whom we disagree, even those who despitfully use us as our Lord Jesus taught. Granted, we need supernatural help to do this but maybe this is one of the reasons God has allowed this calamity to come upon our country that we would turn to Him with more passion than ever before. I have never prayed as much. I have rarely asked the Lord to examine my heart as I am now. I am sure the Lord is using this time to work in His people.
I pray for President Trump and will continue. I continue to cry out for justice. But at this moment Biden, Harris, and the powers behind them are in the position to make crucial policy decisions. So we cry out to the Lord for protection, to intervene and mitigate their evil agenda.
If I can pray for Trump that he would grow spiritually and submit himself to the rulership of Christ I can do the same for members of the new administration even as I pray that wrong doing would be exposed and properly dealt with.
You nailed it! Something that grieves my heart, is when Christians say that they refuse to pray for an unrighteous administration. Worse yet, when a seed of bitterness springs up which will defile many. They will know that we are Christians when they see our love.(not our hatred, bitterness and negativity). Is it easy? Nope. That’s why we must persevere until the end! Will he find us faithful? I see this as a giant test for the christians. Are we being sifted out? Be a part of the remnant, not of those who will give up their faith and shrink back!!!!

Our saviour is not our president, nor a politcal patry, not even our govt. Our Saviour is Jesus Christ, the Lion of Judah. Perhaps there needs to be a reset of our prayer life from praying for our country, to praying for the hearts of men to come to the Saviour in confession of sin and repentance with a contrite heart.

Keep looking up with your eyes on the Saviour! Man will let you down, but we have our anchor in the Solid rock of Jesus and His word!

Please be very careful and do not call Biden something the Lord won’t even call him. In the prophetic message below, through Kat Kerr’s prophetic message, the Lord says Biden is an “illegitimate”( president) and is the “villain”.

Yes, when we pray for leaders we know are wicked, we pray for their salvation. We were enemies of the LORD before we were saved. Pray that they will accomplish God’s will even though they don’t know it. God uses our prayers to open His way into their lives, I believe.

Months before Nov.3 I was praying for Biden and Harris and I continue to pray for them. We are told to pray 1Tim 2:1-4. They too are created by God and made in his image. Even more so for those who oppose us. God can turn the heads of rulers.

Of course, I relate to Phil but as I pray “Your kingdom come, Your will be done,” I become obligated to obey His word. He is still God and He always will be God. I believe the Church must move more into unity and being His light and His hands instead of constantly seeking His hand.
Just yesterday the new president signed a bill to spend millions on more abortions for other countries. This is murder and also shows that he is paying Satan for giving him this presidency. One of the first things! How can we not see that more human babies will be murdered by our country and we are to pray for this evil man?Why not give them the morning after pill. Wow. Thank you for sharing and your insight. Although, I respect the heart of the writer of this article very much, something did not feel right with me after reading it. I may have misinterpreted the intent of the article, but it felt like it is unintentionally validating a deceit. I am sure that was not intended, but the disappointment of the left’s behavior is so fresh that I am little more sensitive these days than usual.
We all have different experiences, but I believe with all my heart and soul that this man is not a legitimate President. The Lord has literally guided me to prophetic words from trusted prophets that encourage me to remain standing for He WILL reveal enough corruption to remove this illegitimate president from power.
After reading this article, I walked away feeling guilty about not being completely on board with it’s request, but I could not stop thinking about this phony administration’s murderous intent with unborn babies around the world.
After seeking the Lord on this, I saw your comment and it stood out like a beaming light. It confirmed my feelings and is an immediate answer to prayer.

Be at peace. We are going to be alright. This battle is the Lord’s. None of this is a surprise to Him. We have to trust Him and pray…even for our enemies, even for the new president. Why? Because the Lord wants us to. He commands it. We all have to get past our feelings. Hard to say, but, in this hour and every hour, we need to follow and stand on the word of God and not sin. I just have to remember that His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts.

Wow! Phil, I feel this so deeply. I like you, refused to pray for former president Barak Obama, during his time on office.the Lord had showed me dreams how to pray for him and I stubbornly refused. I have since repented for my disobedience to pray. Intercessors have to humble themselves and pray as God leads us. We have to lay our opinions at the foot of the cross. I think many christians are refusing to seperate policy from person. We can pray for this administration. That doesn’t mean we agree with anything they stand for. especially anti biblical values…BUT, we can pray that God do a miracle, that greatest miracle is salvation.
God can do anything, his ways are so much better than ours. I’ve had the same issues as you. People have been telling me they won’t pray for the new administration, and are very angry. I don’t reply to their frustration, name calling, or their posture, because that was once me.
I am praying for the Intercessors to be refreshed and pray harder. While watching a prayer call a thought came into my mind and I felt like the Lord challenged me. So with this, I’m going to challenge every Intercessor who reads this.
If we prayed fervently for President Trump, knowing he was pro life, pro Israel, and pro religious liberty.
Why wouldn’t we pray even harder now, that we have a president who does not do any of those things?
Why would we hold our breath in anger? Why would we get off the walls and leave our post? It’s pretty scary to think about the direction our nation could take under this new leadership. Our lack of prayers will not benefit this situation at all,it would actually be worse. I choose to rest secure in the Sovereignty of God. To me this seems to be an invitation from God to ramp up our intercession like never before.
I stand firm because I know who God is. He is the God of Justice! He is the faithful and true! He isn’t shaken or wringing his hands by this new administration. We shouldn’t either.
Intercessors let’s stop throwing stones at the others who choose to pray differently than you. Let’s pray for one another to have renewed hope. Our hope is in the Lord and not man. Let’s pray for prophetic people who are under attack right now and trying to be silenced. Let’s pray for the body of Christ to rise up in faith and walk in unity. Let’s do what the bible says, and pray for our leaders.

I understand the instructions from GOD and I will obey. I believe some people took exception with some things in the article. It’s one thing to pray for our leaders and an entirely different thing to make statements like people get the government they deserve. These 2 statements are mutually exclusive. Most Christians I know and know of do not deserve this administration. We prayed, we fasted, we blessed those that cursed us and despitefully used us, and believed and is still believing that since we have done all we know to do; we now stand to see the salvation of GOD! I believe if we as Christians consistently quote and obey scripture mostly, our entire world would be in a better place. I personally don’t want anyone to go to hell either so I pray for salvation for all, especially those that have shown themselves to be my enemies! Are we as intercessors going to allow the enemy to score another goal by having us not to pray?
Maybe by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris reading our prayers, the Lord can touch their hearts.
But based on the last 24 hours, the Lord will be using this to get the whole church on its knees in prayer regardless of political persuasion. Such wickedness from the pit of hell already.
I was in tears yesterday when I read about the Isis suicide bomb attack yesterday in Iraq.
We do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities. Now is not the time to give up. The whole world will weep because of what has happened to President Trump.
Lord we are asking for you to move in our hearts. We are praying for a restraint of the powers of darkness. Lord we look to you alone to deliver us. Thank you for using President Trump. Please raise up men and women that you can use in government to speak on your behalf.
Lord you know our heart’s desire as to who we want to be the President. Lord you have allowed this wickedness to refine us and turn to you. We believe that when the enemy comes like a flood, your Holy Spirit will raise a standard. Lord your judgment will come and you will shake everything that can be shaken. In judgment remember mercy.
Lord come quickly to deliver and deal with your enemy. Lord we cry out to you for the rebuke.

I will continue to pray for God’s TRUTH AND LIGHT to shine on our nation.
I will not pray for an illegitimate administration that worked with foreign governments to enrich themselves, that has a long history of corruption, plus a long history of supporting the killing of the unborn.

God places kings and leaders not illegal criminals. I rebuke the evil spirits and witchcraft and satanic spirits that are covering this crime.
Truth will be revealed. Praise God.
I will continue to pray that all the evil deeds Biden and the left are intending over this nation and unborn babies around the world will be thwarted, stopped,and backfire indeed.
I will continue to stand with the tested and trusted prophets that a landslide of corruption will be exposed to the level to prove to the world he is completely illegitimate in the position he now holds and will be removed.
Whenever praying for the souls of the left, I become more compelled to put adequate time into praying for all those that have been brazenly persecuted by the left for seeking righteousness. Some are in hiding due to death threats because of siding with President Trump’s Administration and/or free speech.
I fully empathize with how you feel and am praying in a similar way.

May the Lord move in power for our country and may we see leadership in our Nation that agrees with those that voted for them or at least know they were voted in properly and will follow the Constitution as our Founding Fathers have Penned. I also look for a leader that will follow the Truth of the BIBLE and follow those plans in every decision.

It was a failure on my part when years ago after President Obama was elected that I stopped praying our leaders then.
I had been part of the Presidential Prayer team under Bush, but when Obama took over I stopped. For whatever reason I didn’t trust the new President to have the best interest of the Nation. Later, this was confirmed to me by his treatment of Israel through its Prime Minister which to me is the first thing I watch in all our Presidents ( I fear President Biden would do the same, if not worse).
But I don’t want to do the same mistake now. I intend to keep on praying for our Nation and our new leaders whether I agree with them or not ( I do not at all).
I believe in prayer
and God hears them. His response is according to His will. I would not ask for anything different than His will.
Am I concerned? Extremely. Am I expecting Christians to experience restrictions? Most certainly. Am I fearful or at least intimidated? Of what? What can men do to me? Didn’t we say that God is still in control? Those very things are what compel me to pray even for the people I do not really trust.
I expect things to be quite different in the near future. So be it. I am not going to worry about it ahead of time. Sufficient for the day are its own problems. So, as often is the case when we have nowhere else to go, we call upon the Lord in prayer.
