IFA TAKES ACTION TO PROTECT INTERCESSORS
IFA TAKES ACTION TO PROTECT INTERCESSORS
At IFA we have always been blessed by the wonderful community of fellowship and ministry in the comments on our articles. Reading your messages of support and encouragement, your insight, and your prayers has uplifted us on many occasions. We have always been grateful that even in this day and age of toxic debates on social media, the IFA site continued to be a place of safety. For example, on Dave Kubal’s latest article, The Officer Chauvin Verdict and Justice, Leah and Augie had a long debate about the jurors in the Chauvin trial. You can go to the article to read their whole discussion, but here is how it ended:
Leah, this is what America is about. All kinds of people with all kinds of ideas. Opportunity for respectful discourse. I welcome you in prayer as a sister in Christ. Blessings, and together may we help lead our nation to repent and find a better way forward.
Many thanks to Leah and Augie for modeling respectful discussion in an age of anger. Look at this verse, Philippians 2:3, from the Amplified translation: Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves]. It’s a great model to pray through before we post that comment, send that text, or even speak to our neighbor or family member.
However, last week we noticed some very rude and frankly odd comments on some of the IFA articles. To make it worse the names associated with the comments were familiar to us. Investigation revealed that these rude comments were all fake. People used real names that they found on our website, made up fake email accounts, and posted divisive and nasty comments posing as IFA writers.
We knew we had to take action to protect our community. As a result, you now must sign up or login to post a comment on all of the articles on IFApray.org and Headline Prayer. This will protect our core community and keep our conversations secure.
Would you take a minute to show those annoying hackers that they cannot keep us from praying and showing respect for one another? Find an article on Headline Prayer that interests you and take a minute to reply to someone’s comment. Do what the Bible teaches: Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. (1 Thes 5:11)

Amen! Great advice!! Thank you so much, Dave!! We must care for one another in the IFA Family!! ENCOURAGE is the word in TRUTH. We remember: ‘ they will know we are Christians, by our love.’ United we stand, divided we fall. It is fine on this site to have a different view on topics of interest and share in respect for one another. If it is on Truth from the Word of God, we must unite in one spirit in truth and love in Jesus’ name. Let’s pray for one another in this huge family, PTL , with Intercessors for America. The world is watching. Jesus said He would draw all men to Himself if we had love for one another. God bless.
What an honor it is to intercede for America! It is truly a sad day when hackers pull stunts like this. Lord, please reveal to them their deception, and cause them to repent. 1 Thes. 5:11 is a great verse of encouragement. We, as an army of intercessors, need to encourage one another, as we fight against the attacks of the evil one. This is a fight where we need to stand strong and courageous in fighting the good fight of faith. Jesus, make us one in vision and purpose. Thank you, Lord.
I am thankful that this step had finally been taken to help protect the IFA site. After having some of my comments rudely replied to and watching others also endure the same, I knew IFA had to do something different to try and protect those who actually visit this site because we are truly concerned about various issues.
Some comments that were previously being left were definitely an indication that we were under attack as those “differences of opinion” were manifesting themselves as anything but godly love and concern for others.
So thank you for doing this and, as a head’s up… it’s probably wise for all of us and IFA to expect further verbal interference from those who are “posers” or hackers.
I really love IFA.
I scan through the articles and it’s like a newspaper, I pick what resonates to me most. Then I read it, go back to it later in the day, pray over it, and then it soaks into me and stays in my memory. I jot people’s names down in my journal and keep flowing in prayer and begin to sense that God is really helping me to pray His will.
I just love this format. I think it’s very biblicially sound. Jesus said His house will be a house of prayer for ALL nations.
My message to the hackers is—- sure hope you get to meet our Jesus and give your life to Him!!
Thank you for keeping this open for those who are concerned about our country and are praying for God’s plans for it to be manifested. I will be praying for divine protection for all the staff and that there would be a supernatural barrier around this website that no one with evil intentions can cross. We have a mighty God. As Jeremiah asked, “is anything too hard for God?”.
Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you!! You are truly fulfilling a great need for The Body of Christ!! I appreciate you more than words can express!!!
Thank you for the respect shown in valuing each opinion with love. I left facebook because often people would post comments expressed hatred and I found it wasn’t that we had a different thought on the subject, but simply the intolerance voiced through their words. God bless this ministry and the fuel it brings to our prayers as we stand in the gap for families, our churches and the nation.
Thank you for protecting us. This is my “safe” space. When I dealt with depression regarding all the things that were going on, it was IFA that kept me sane and headed me in the right direction. It is good to know that you are all seeking God and His glory.
Yes, thank you for your diligence.
It is very comforting to observe your excellence
and faithfulness in doing the work of the Lord.
I was really surprised by this turn of events.
I finally got with the program and feel a whole lot better!
Thanks and God bless each and every one of you at IFA.
Satan rages on the prayers of the saints, but greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world.
We overcome by the Blood of the Lamb, & the word of your testimony.
Onward Christian Soldiers. His truth goes marching on. Hallelujah!
Thank you for taking action. I admit, I was taken aback at several hateful comments I received. I was honestly shocked at some of them! I had decided to stop making any comments until things “calmed down.” We can all agree to disagree, in love and respect. Again, thank you for taking action. God bless you and IFA!
Thank you for this article. It has given me great hope for this website. Please keep up the great work, and all that you do. again, many thanks and for “Abiding under the Cross.”
Jim, I agree with your comment. I am grateful that IFA detected the issue and humbled by the immediate action to ward off the aggressors. As stated in the article, this is a wonderful community of believers, and I have been blessed many times by the comments and prayers of the intercessors. May IFA and all the intercessors be blessed and fortified.
Thank you for this action. I have an account with a monitoring service and learned through it that some of my data had been scooped up in one or another of these large data hacks, so have been changing passwords, etc. I do recommend such a service to those who are fairly active online to keep on top of that sort of potential hacking.
And blessings to IFA and all involved for your help in keeping our comments in the Spirit of the Lord.
Thank you so much for stopping the enemy in it’s tracks by exposing the real culprit. I appreciate IFA and it’s staff that blesses us by keeping us informed and bringing together like minded people to pray for our nation. God bless you!!
So great to see you on here too, Marsha. For anyone reading this comment, back in 1978 I met Marsha. I was not a believer at the time and she faithfully prayed for my salvation. I will be forever grateful for her prayers for me because I eventually had a draumatic encounter with Jesus and I am sold out for Him! Never give up praying for the lost. God hears!!!
Thank you for catching the intruders and setting up preventative measures for the future. Well done.
Divide and conquer is the devil’s way of destroying our effectiveness and this ministry. Thank you for this added layer of protection: wise as a serpent, but harmless as a dove!
I love this post sooooo much! That wicked spirit of division and strife cannot divide Your people! We will stand in the opposite spirit and maintain the bond of peace. You are our perfect model, Jesus, and we honor You.
Thank You IFA for what you do. You are greatly appreciated by so many. God knows what he is doing & I believe he wants us to have the boldness to speak out in his name. I continue to pray for our government, our country & the unsaved in the precious name of Jesus or Saviour ..Thank you Jesus for sacrificing your life for all mankind.Amen
Thank you Dave Kubal for your action to keep this site free of trolls. I saw some of those comments and, just as the Jan 6th DC riots were used in an attempt to accuse the Christian community, I knew immediately that these posts were not from those in our numbers. Not that Christians are incapable of passionate disagreement, but the people who are interceding here do not engage in incendiary discourse to *stir up* disagreement and chaos. We have a common enemy whose agenda is always to steal, kill, and destroy. A password barrier is a small inconvenience to remove illegitimate comments. I am grateful!
Father, see the threats of the enemy! Cause the works of darkness to be exposed and let the light of your face shine in the thoughts, words, and deeds of your people. May our prayers together cause great holy disturbances in the strongholds of darkness, that the aroma of the life of your Son will permeate the atmosphere, both here on this site and also in our daily walk: at work, play, and even as we sleep. Psalm 4:6-8
Praise God! Thank You, Father, for IFA and the discernment and wisdom You pour forth into Your people.
Please continue to bless the work of their hands.
