I Prayed have prayed
Father God, help us make up the hedge and stand in the gap, now and in the future. Give us courage!
Reading Time: 2 minutes

As we approach the end of 2019, most of us are reflecting on what has taken place this past year and praying into what the new year holds. As we do, it is essential that we recognize and align with what God is doing.

What took place this past year is reflected in the word of the year chosen by Dictionary.com for 2019.

The word is existential.

They were spot on, even prophetic in their choice.

As with most words in the English language there is more than one definition. According to Dictionary.com, existential means:

(Adjective)

  1.  of or relating to existence.
  2. concerned with the nature of human existence as determined by the individual’s freely made choices.

Merriam-Webster defines it as: having being in time and space.

It is a word that actually reveals and encapsulates the spiritual and political battle of this past year.

For example, U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) declared there was an existential threat to human civilization in regards to climate change. She predicted the world would end in twelve years. She was right about the threat, but wrong about the cause. And in reality, we don’t have even twelve years to turn this.

The true existential threat we face is the threat to a free civilization as we know it.

We have watched as not only America, but Israel, Britain, Australia, Hong Kong, Russia, and other citizens have stood to battle for their country and freedom. It has been a battle against corruption and the attempted takeover to form a globalist society.

That is the true existential threat we face. THIS is the battle of 2019.

It has been and is a battle of worldwide proportions and significance. It is not just President Trump the globalists are working to overthrow. This same battle and coup attempt are underway in Britain, Israel, and other nations. We see it everywhere and we see righteous remnants standing up to prevent the success of the globalists.

The remnant of the intercessors are “[making] up a hedge and [standing] in the gap” (Ez 22:30 KJV) to engage in spiritual battle even as courageous leaders wage the physical and political battle. It has required this tandem effort—one in which we must not grow weary.

Go back to the word existential, to the second definition: “human existence as determined by the individual’s freely made choices.” What choice will you make for yourself, your family, and your sphere of influence as we head into 2020?

We are about to face the most tumultuous year yet in our nation and around the world as evidence of the far-reaching global corruption is finally revealed and charges brought forth. It is time to make sure that any cracks in our foundation are shored up so that we can withstand the storm that is coming.

We must continue to be the watchmen on the wall, to battle in prayer and in the spirit as we watch the inevitable chaos coming in the natural.

What will be the word for 2020? That remains to be seen. But I believe it will be the word “courage.”

Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you (Dt 31:6 MSG).

Thank you Lord, Your Word says, 1 Cor 16:13 “Be on your guard, STAND FIRM in the FAITH; be men of courage; be strong.” Lord help us to stand firm in the Word you have given us. Remind us of your Word to us.
Hebrews 13:5-6 ” I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear what can man do to me?”
Is 41:10 Do not fear for I am with you; Do not be dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Halleluiah! Glory to God. We can stand strong. We can and will pray at all times for all things and we can do it in Your might, your strength. Thank you Lord. You will keep us strong and wise. We will not bend down to the evil, but will put up a hedge of protection around us and the United States and our President and his family. I will worship you in the storm Lord because there is where we come into your courts. I thank you and praise you Lord for all you have given us. We WILL STAND against the evil because you are with us. Bless you Lord with all that is within me Bless your Holy Name.

In reading so much about the Climate change that has been slowly happening I have a couple of things to say.

The first is that in a previous area where my husband and I lived in New York the climate and the weather was known for its extremes. And going back over the history of the climate in that same area where we lived there would be heat waves or there would be ice storms or there would be huge snowstorm for people who would literally find themselves buried in their houses due to the amount of snowfall.

And I’m sure it’s the same way in other areas where people live. Such as Virginia or Maryland or Wisconsin or New Jersey, etc.

In the 1980s there was a lot of talk about climate change and it became a political issue and I remember hearing here and there that people were blaming climate change and a hole in the ozone layer that was being caused by methane gas from cows and McDonald’s Styrofoam cups.

That didn’t make a lot of sense to me considering that 2000 years ago Abraham had how many donkeys, how many camels, how many sheep, and each one of those produced methane gas.

The extreme weather that they faced, the severe famines, the floods, and the sandstorms never caused concern about the O-Zone layer.

And then to be so specific with Styrofoam cups. Cups you can buy in the grocery store. At that time Styrofoam cups we’re used by various companies, because they were thought to be safe for landfills and not something that would create an issue.

Then to add to the ridiculousness of the reasonings given out for the climate change; the Styrofoam cups used by McDonald’s was singled out as a problem for the O-Zone layer.

The fact is if you really want to get to the bottom of what the climate change really is all about. You need to turn to the Father God and ask Him what this is really all about. There’s never going to be anyone single answer people will come up with.

But in the end the real answers will he found in the presence of the Lord, He’s the one who’s going to be able to tell you about what is really going on with the climate change.

We really have no idea what the climate was during the time of Noah, when he was building the ark and just before the flood happened. The only thing we know is that people were living their lives. The Word of God says they were marrying and having children; living their lives while Noah was building the ark.

Now we’re finding that more and more pastors who are following the Lord are becoming aware of the fact that there is a revival coming and yes that’s very true there is a revival coming. And that the Lord Jesus Christ is soon to return which is also very true.

We know as Christians and reading through the book of Revelations What is going to happen. And the Father God absolutely promises that the earth will be burned up with fire. He also talks about the different things that we can expect to see That are happening and have been happening around the world.

So while man is diligently trying to take phones to search for something to search for an answer digging here and digging their they’re really overlooking the Lord Jesus Christ. The One who really has all the answers.

at this point the one thing that I will say in all of this is that I’m very proud of President Trump for taking us out of the terrible deal with the climate change that was costing us a lot of money. Funds that were being funneled outside of this country with nothing to show for it. I appreciate that very much.

So in the midst of running here and there about the climate change; trying to come up with some scientific reasoning for it all, trying to create an end all fix for the climate which no one has ever been able to do even back in Abrahams day.

I recommend just very quietly and simply going to your prayer room and sitting down and asking the Father God what is going on.

God Bless You

Now is that time to trust in whom we have believe in all along. 2020 is our battleground/ground 0.

Enjoyed reading this prophetic word. The closing verse in Deuteronomy 31:6 is beautiful. God’s presence will be with the believers. The words brought to mind the verse in 2 Chronicles 7:14 so familiar to all that concludes how God can and will heal our land. The context is clearly about Israel but the principles so true for any sovereign nation whose believing people have faith that is not dead and thus be the good citizens therein described. Our role as believers is having faith that is alive, leading us to take the actions therein described of humbling ourselves, praying without fainting, letting go more and more of our love for the world and saying no to the attachment of our flesh thereto, and following the Holy Spirit’s beckoning to seek the Lord, and to turn from our wicked ways which are more than we even know, with the word shining at our feet and on our path, asking and seeking and knocking for the power of the Holy Spirit to quicken the word, always showing us in that mirror where adjustments in the meditations of our hearts and the words of our mouths are indicated. May the Lord richly bless all believers in the USA and around the world in the days that remain ahead until Jesus returns that our lights will shine brighter and brighter and our saltiness will have more savor every day until he comes. Judgment begins at the house of God to which 2 Chronicles 7:14 attests. May our love for believers and the lost be so compelling the world will see that we believe. May we have the heart of the Good Samaritan that we will hasten to those in need, not looking the other way, being found as cheerful servants of those around us always and even at his return. Love and salvation and provision and healing and favor to all believers now and always. God is not slow about Jesus’ return. He is not willing that any should perish. May our hearts be one with his and may we continue the giving as the Father gave his son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. May we every day until he comes be better and better publishers of this good news and be aligned by the Holy Spirit to carry out the Great Commission. May we be cheerful givers of this good news.

Very accurate words spoken. I agree with this description of our current state of affairs. We are in a battle of monumental proportions. Over the last 4 yrs, an army of intercessors has waged war in the Spirit. Through this experience, my Lord has taught me many things. I have struggled at times with allowing myself to carry the burden, even though I know it’s not mine to carry. As my faith grows, my peace also grows. I wrote a song about this battle we are in 3 yrs ago. In the refrain chorus repeated throughout the song, I wrote “God hear our prayers”. The song is a battle song I sing often with my guitar as a prayer. Recently I was singing it and I realized that it should read “God hears our prayers”. Sounds like a subtle difference but actually this change reflects the reality of God’s people, filled with the Holy Spirit, aligned with the will of God and obedient, to pray forth into existence the will of God. This was a revelation for me. We as Christians have access to God through the blood of the Lamb. When Jesus left this earth, God sent the Holy Spirit to in dwell us and guide us. We are sons and daughters of the most High! I believe the most powerful people on earth are not the rich, are not just the most intelligent, are not the the heads of state, are not the bureaucrats running governments, but us, the Christians that know our Lord and Savior, filled with the Spirit. Why, because Jesus says you will be filled with power from on high. Power that comes when we line up with the will of God, we speak forth truth and watch God’s will come into existence. It’s an awesome transformation to become a believer and utilize all that God has for us. I believe this is such a time when God has called so many of his people and given us eyes to see and ears to hear the reality of what is actually taking place. He gives us wisdom and discernment to understand the deception and perversion the enemy is unleashing. Let us put on all our defensive armor (Eph 6) and go on the offensive with the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and speak forth our prayers up to Heaven and watch what God will do. It will get rocky as the author of this article accurately stated, but we must stand with courage and in faith. May 2020 see the battle shift and see the enemy in retreat. What a glorious time that will be and God will be glorified.

Amen brother…and the change that you reflected in your song lyric is profound. God does hear our prayers and God is responding to the body of Christ in this hour. What is extraordinary about this hour is that the body of Christ is uniting beyond race, creed and denomination. People sense the urgency of the hour and understand the call for unity in the body of Christ. Please check out Peacestartswithme.org and learn how the clergy are uniting together. A big rally at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ with 30,000 clergy and their members is happening this Sat. Dec 28th. Satan is doing well in dividing the Church and the nation but as Christians and believers come together at this time, the power of Heaven and the Holy Spirit is being unleashed and we are building the Kingdom of Heaven on earth as it is in Heaven. If you know God’s true direction for his people at this time you can discern what is true as the realm of Satan is clearly being exposed. We as Christians must be the peacemakers and the unifiers in this great nation and the world. Thank you brother! Keep your music flowing!

I agree that a word for 2020 is courage. When I was praying, I saw a lone person standing for truth and justice in the midst of the fire. I heard the words, “what you hear in your prayer closet, speak to the world.” It is intimidating to share to the world truth that God is showing us. The enemy has weaponized people to attack anyone who disagrees with them – the worst is antifa. But what I am seeing is that people need to stand for truth, even in the face of horrible threats, because the truth they speak out will slice through the agenda and lies of the enemy like a hot knife through butter. I am not sure exactly how this will happen because I have tried to speak truth to brainwashed Christians, but the brainwashing is too severe. Maybe God is going to help us break through this year with His Spirit of Revelation.

Karen- thank you for your insightful sharing both on 2019 and expectation for 2020. Your prediction of word of the year for 2020 particularly spoke to me – as the last couple of years I have chosen a word of the year to focus on for my personal growth and a couple of months ago felt God was leading me to choose “courage” for 2020. Quite a confirmation. May God continue to bless your intercession and ministry as a whole

Since faith works only by love, we must, with every breath, fight to stand in love. This is our place of victory. It is in Him, Who is love, that we stand at all. If we will not actively, intentionally and consistently choose to obey His command to love every one, we have already chosen not to stand. May our intercession be bathed afresh in God’s contagious love. May we have strength and courage to immediately forgive and to keep pressing on in love moment by moment. It’s not so easy all the time. But victory always belongs to the Lord and we belong to Him if we obey His commands.

Lord, in the name and the blood of your precious, holy son, Jesus, we ask that you bless our spiritual eyes with 20/20 vision so that we may intercede and pre-prayer in alignment with Your heart. We yearn to carry out Your will with love, grace and mercy. Let us not grow weary or impatient with Your timeline and perfect plan, and instead fill us with a fresh zeal and new divine praying strategies. We love and adore you, Lord.

The word of encouragement that I hear is “to keep my eyes on Jesus the author and perfecter of my faith”do not grow weary in prayer for in due season will see victory. He is faithful even in the midst of our suffering, He will bring peace and joy i the midst of the storm. The Spirit of God whispered in my spirit as I sought Him re: pray these two words, “Wait and Pray”. So with my eyes upon Him let us continue to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem as we ” wait and pray”. For He is faithful to those who love and obey Him. To Our God Be all Glory, Praise and Honor.

I agree the enemy of our souls is going to try and do his best to wear down and wear out the saints of God. He usually moves in the areas of family, fiances and health The Word of God has made provisions to cover all these areas. Proverbs 4:20-23 is good example of how we overcome. Having our hearts established in Him and His Word. Everything we do is a heart issue not head knowledge alone. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony- of who Jesus is and what He is doing in our lives. Every test can be turned into a test-imony because the same resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead resides in our mortal body. I pray the church can establish ,realize who they really are in Christ Jesus. No weapon formed against us will prosper Having done all we stand rooted and grounded in Him. Expecting “greater things” than Jesus did in the coming year. Praying all God’s saints will find favor with man and power with God. Blessings.
