In an article published Monday to All Israel News, Joel Rosenberg, Israeli author and former First Friday guest, explains:
I’m writing my column today in praise of U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Why?
Because they worked together effectively to resolve serious tensions that were building between Israel’s Ministry of the Interior (MOI) and American Evangelical Christians.

Once Huckabee alerted him to the problem, Netanyahu made sure it was fixed immediately.
Amen.
So what exactly happened? According to Rosenberg, Israel’s Ministry of the Interior had been “systematically denying clergy visas for American Evangelical Christians who work for ministries and church congregations in Israel.” When the MOI wasn’t denying visas outright, it was reportedly slow-walking renewal applications.
Why was this happening? We can’t know for sure, but Rosenberg chalks it up to rogue officials purposely seeking to harm or inconvenience evangelicals:
Over time, however, it became clear that these were not “normal” delays.
Certain officials inside the MOI were purposefully rejecting or slow-walking visas for Evangelicals.
In doing so, they were violating the status quo.
Israel’s government has a long-standing policy of protecting freedom of religion for Christians – and all minority faiths – and of allowing Evangelical Christian pastors and ministry leaders to live, work, and serve in Israel, the land of Jesus, the apostles, and the Bible.
Rosenberg recounts how Ambassador Huckabee tried to resolve this situation behind closed doors and without involving Prime Minister Netanyahu. When the MOI failed to handle the situation promptly, however, the Ambassador reportedly sent a strongly-worded letter to the Interior Minister, cc’ing the Prime Minister in the process.
As soon as Prime Minister Netanyahu was made aware of the situation, he and the Minister of the Interior addressed the issue quickly. Ambassador Huckabee announced on Monday that the situation had been resolved.
This is a tremendous answer to our prayers! Not only has Israel ended an unfair practice harming Christians, but this situation has also shown us that both nations have leaders in high places that want to protect the relationship between America, especially American believers, and Israel. Praise God!

Jews and Christians should be brothers in arms in fighting radical Jihad. We’re told to bless the nation of Israel and no distinction is made between the government and the people therefore God’s law reigns. Rogue bureaucrats exist in America and the intelligence agencies of Israel, and it’s an inversion and trickery used to fuel the narrative that Satan is using right now to drive a wedge between God’s chosen and Christians. Satan has used these people to divide and conquer us, and we have to look past these events yet do our best to put pressure on Bibi to root out corruption in is government like our President needs to do now or never! We have limited time and we’re fighting a crafty enemy waging both a physical and information war on the world!
The Jews are the people through whom God offers salvation to the world. Jesus Himself said that. Because of that satan has waged an endless war against them in the form of a virile form of hatred from such people as Arabs and other Muslims (a race and a religion specifically dedicated to their destruction), misguided Europeans, “replacement theory” so-called Christians and anyone else opposed, consciously or unconsciously to the destruction of the Jews. Unfortunately, most Jewish people don’t understand the fulfillment of their purpose will be the unity of Jew and Gentile under authority of the cross as Paul says in Ephesians. This is a mystery and will not be fulfilled until the restoration of all things as recorded in Revelation. It is said that many scholars have a special hatred for Paul because they can’t find any flaws in his theme of salvation by Grace rather than adherence to the z mosaic Law, especially as outlined in Romans and Galatians.
It is very unfortunate that Israel had sunk to the level of Western civilization by allowing Tel Aviv to become bathe perversion and abortion capitals of the Mideast. Israel makes a huge mistake by not recognizing that they are in a tribal feud with Islam, many of whom are Arabs (some of whom are Christian’s) so they murder their own through abortion and weaken themselves by allowing perversion. As throughout their history, God uses His enemies to punish them for their treachery to Him.
True Evangelicals are Israel’s best friends on earth and their presence brings God’s favor. We know they are the “chosen”
(As opposed to a Mormon-influenced series of the same name) and know that. after the coming time of Jacob’s Trouble that Jesus will return and reign from the soon-to-be rebuilt temple, meant for Him, not for meaningless sacrificial animals. Wake up my Jewish friends. We are proclaiming the soon coming fulfillment of God’s purpose through you. Stop opposing your friends.

Thank You, Lord, for resolving this issue quickly through the intervention of both Huckabee and Netanyahu. Thank You, that this kind of behavior toward the Christian community is not the norm in Israel. In fact, although there are those who still resist Christian influence, many more are becoming less and less resistant and are embracing and thankful for our support for their nation. Help us to love them well, and comfort them effectively – for that is our calling as the ekklesia. Use our brothers and sisters in Israel, both Messianic Jews and gentile believers – the one new man – to be salt and light in the Land, as You fulfill the redemptive purposes You gave to Your people, Israel.
