… because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools … (Romans 1:19–22 NKJV).
On Sept. 12, I opened a devotional I own and saw this heading: “A Case Study in Changing a Nation’s Culture.” Even though I read regularly from this book, The One Year Christian History, by E. Michael and Sharon Rusten, I had never read this particular entry. I dug in eagerly, in search of clues for bringing a nation to Christ. But this entry was unusual — the plans for change described there involved nothing Christ-centered; instead, it detailed the meticulous planning of a group of intellectuals meeting in 1905 in New York City to strategize the overthrow of the Christian worldview undergirding American culture. In place of a biblical worldview, these “planners” desired a Marxist ideology they could marry to the theory of evolution. Their “theology” of secular humanism is what has in our day come to be labeled “progressivism.” So, that was one of the early battles in the war to secularize American culture.
Who is praying on the wall?
I confess that I was utterly astonished, not at the description of this ideology that has pervasively overcome education, religion, politics, business, family, media, and the arts (the “seven mountains of influence in our culture”), but that these people met with this specific purpose in mind. I immediately thought of IFA’s mission to bring to light the spiritual roots of issues that face our nation. The details of this gathering definitely expose a demonic root system!
Bottom Line
Everything the progressives believed and promoted was based on two doctrines: Marxism and Darwinian evolution. As my husband often says: “When the only tool you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.” Among people who think that way, any eternal, foundational, or static structures like the Bible and the Constitution are seen as transient and evolving. Can you hear in this language the echoes of all that we’re battling currently — in education, gender politics, and general wokeism?
The organization that was formed that day came to be called the Intercollegiate Socialist Society (ISS). Members included some famous names in American culture: authors Upton Sinclair and Jack London; and Clarence Darrow, the famed trial attorney of the Scopes Monkey Trial of 1925. The main strategy of ISS was to infiltrate academia with Marxist ideology by organizing chapters in colleges and universities. By infiltrating these schools, they hoped to train the minds of the upcoming generation of leaders with an ideology devoid of God as Creator and of any moral system grounded in the truth of His law and word. Today, we can see the effects of this takeover in virtually every facet of our lives.
ISS grew, and by 1917 it boasted chapters on 61 college campuses and in a dozen graduate schools. In 1921 ISS renamed itself the League for Industrial Democracy (LID). (Here is another common strategy of the Enemy: changing language to make his poison more palatable.) LID’s purpose then was “education for a new social order based on production for use and not-for-profit” — in other words, Marxism. The college chapters of what had been ISS became called the Student League for Industrial Democracy. As members graduated from college, some entered the pulpit, others the classroom, still others wrote textbooks, and some entered the labor movement for either of the main political parties.
“The League for Industrial Democracy was so successful that those who held membership in the movement, or were cooperating with it, could have been a list for who’s who in America: Robert N. Baldwin, founder of American Civil Liberties Union; Charles Beard the historian; Carroll Binder, editor of the Minneapolis Tribune; Helen Gahagan Douglas, congresswoman and U.S. senator; Felix Frankfurter, Supreme Court justice; Sidney Hook, education social philosopher; Edna Saint Vincent Millay, the poet; Henry Morgenthau Jr., a government economic adviser; Walter and Victor Reuther, United Auto Workers; Will Rogers Jr., the humorist; Franklin Roosevelt Jr., the president’s son” (4).
By 1941, John Dewey, who has been called the father of the modern education movement, was LID’s honorary president, and theologian Reinhold Niebuhr was treasurer. Dewey had already organized the Progressive Education Association and the American Association of University Professors. As Dewey proclaimed in his Pedagogic Creed: “I believe that education is a regulation of the process of coming to share in the social consciousness, and that the adjustment of the of individual activity on the basis of this social consciousness is the only sure method of social reconstruction“ (3). He called teachers the “prophets of the true God and the usherer-in of the true kingdom of God” — that “god” being progressivism.
Religion was another area infiltrated by progressives. Because progressives saw history as a march toward what they called “genuine democracy,” a strong religious current undergirded their thought. History was the “means by which God gradually made Himself present on the earth with the result being the modern democratic state. The state then became the god to which all citizens owed their undivided devotion” (3). Cooperation with history, yielding one’s political and moral self to the evolving pressures of the current age, became a “test of one’s faithfulness to God. It became the social gospel which embraced evolutionary theory and saw orthodox religion as ‘insufficient for the times.’ Evolution became the ‘Divine plan for rational social advancement. These progressive theologians asserted that government — because of progress — was now poised to bring about the utopia of ‘on earth as it is in heaven’ ” (4).
A full exposition and understanding of the many facets of culture that progressivism reinterpreted — including history, religion, education, the American Constitution, the entire political realm — is beyond the scope of this article. I refer readers to American Progressivism (by Ronald J. Pestritto and William J. Atto) and Taking the Mountain of Education (by Nancy Huff) for a more thorough exposition. What we see is that a cadre of luminaries and intellectuals, whose positions in American institutions afforded them a place of influence, shaped intellectual thought and inculcated a generation (now many generations) with an unbiblical worldview. Now we are reaping the bitter fruit of the ideologies that were sown in the battle over the LGBTQ agenda, transgenderism, abortion, and the secularization of many mainline denominations.
What Happened in the Spirit Realm?
The belief that man is basically good and has no need of a savior – secular humanism – puts us back at the Tower of Babel. If we are to reinforce the victory of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection, and His subsequent disarming of all spiritual powers and authorities, then we must repent of these sins of our fathers, specifically repenting of embracing this false religion and ceding authority over these places of influence to the Evil One. As goes the Church, so goes the nation. We stand in the gap, taking an axe to the roots of the tree of secular humanism so that the fruit can no longer manifest. As Nancy Huff writes: “Change will require dedicated intercessors committed to long term efforts. The ancient thrones of iniquity — like the 1905 meeting — must be identified and properly disengaged” (5)
How Then Do We Pray
I am suggesting a prayer strategy that comes out of Romans 1:18–25. In these verses, Paul accurately describes how people and cultures end up in a mire of sin and depravity when they honor man’s “wisdom” above God’s. Paul writes that unrighteous humans suppress the truth of who God is despite God’s having shown them who He is through His attributes, manifested clearly in all that He has created. Next, we fail to glorify Him or express our gratitude. The result is that our thinking becomes worthless and our hearts are darkened. Laying claim to human “wisdom,” we become fools. In the end, our actions are debauched, and we worship and serve what has been created — ourselves and our ideas — instead worshiping and serving the Creator Himself. This is a breathtakingly precise description of what was going on within the people who met in that 1905 meeting.
Let’s pray together now:
Father, in the name of Jesus, we come asking You first to forgive our enemies, the members and leaders of ISS/LID for exalting human wisdom above You and Your word. With Jesus we say: Forgive them, for they know not what they do. We forgive them, and all of those they’ve influenced, for exalting secular humanism as god and intentionally inculcating the nation with this wicked ideology. We forgive them for suppressing the truth about who You are as Creator and for not being thankful for all that You have made and suppressing our need for salvation through Jesus’ finished work on the cross.
Father, forgive us, Your church, for allowing this humanistic takeover of universities and other places of influence in our culture. We became fools and our hearts — and the hearts of our children — became darkened. We exchanged a lie for the truth and have come to worship and serve not You, but the idol of secular humanistic ideology. We have bowed to other gods, not loving the truth, that we might be saved. Cleanse us from pride and deception and every unholy fruit that has grown from this wicked tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
We reject Marxism and evolution utterly and come out of agreement with all teachings and structures based in these doctrines. In their place, we release the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of the Most High God, Creator of all. We ask You to remove every word curse and every defilement of this belief system from our universities and schools, our churches, the political realm, and all other places thus defiled. We use God’s mighty weapons to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture every rebellious thought, and instead desire to teach all to obey Christ. We exalt You alone as God, and we embrace all truth as revealed in Your written word. We worship You alone, and we are thankful.
Finally, we ask You to reveal Yourself to all leaders in every mountain of influence in our culture. You are THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Light, and there are no other gods. Pour out Your Spirit upon this land, and bring us revival! Amen.
Declarations (adapted from Huff’s book):
- We declare that there will be a demonstration of the Lord’s power in every place where secular humanism was formerly ruling so that faith will not rest on man’s wisdom but in God’s righteousness and power.
- We declare that God’s word, and His revealed attributes as Creator, are the true foundations of our culture and that the beginning of wisdom and learning is the fear of the Lord!
- We declare the release of the wisdom of Jesus to replace man’s wisdom and the fear of the Lord to replace the fear of man, which is a snare.
Last, for any who live in New York City, praying on location at 140 Fulton Street, in Lower Manhattan, is encouraged. Find a partner or join a team and be the boots on the ground to reclaim the land for Jesus and His kingdom. Take communion at the site, declaring that the blood of Jesus is sufficient to break any curses.
There are many other events in U.S. history that were demonic entry points and created demonic root systems that must be discovered, uncovered, and prayed over. Ask Him, and He will reveal!

So thankful that God has revealed, not only His Truth, Word, Light through His Son, and the Apostles of the New Testament scripts, but also continues allow His people to see lessons from the past to correct our walk in this present age.

They too were the outcome of ISS members. Another thought, among all of this, these orgs. and their initials are repetitive, ISS. The International Space Station…what was, and is the goal of that human experiment? ISIS, the terroristic religious sect in Middle Eastern countries and beyond. And, those are just some examples. If people are familiar with Illuminati, Freemasonry, and so on, they too have their influence in all of this.
Its all Evil!
We truly need to keep in prayer, and supplication for this day, and our tomorrows that are left to live. Our children, grandchildren and more need to know Truth, need to be taught it, and need the knowledge of God’s Way to eternity, to His kingdom not of this world! Our Bible is sufficient, nothing else, no ” prophetic” texts and 100’s of books to explain it away to nonsense. We need to Stand on His Word, understand it, live it, teach it all through Jesus Christ, not some other self described religious expert.
Reading literature to keep educated about tbe evil influence of the past and present is important; however, Arm yourselves with God’s Word always!
OH FATHER, OUR GOD,
We pray, through Your Son, andbin His Name, that we all strive to walk diligently with You, in You, through Your Son, to know and learn and teach The Truth.
We understand, askin forgiveness for a fallen society, a fallen nation, a fallen world. However, each person individually, is responsible for their own complicit sinfulness, and must ask forgiveness, and repent of their own sins. That is not up to us as an organization to do. Help us understand our own responsibility in our learning and growing as a Christian. Help each of us do those things we are instructed to do, to be, to teach one another, and those still searching for Truth and salvation!

In this translation of the Hebrew Tanakh, which is the Christian “Old Testament,” and in it the book of Daniel, Michael an archangel is called a “prince.” Also called by the same title are the prince of the kingdom of Persia (Iran) and the prince of Graecia (Greece.) These “princes” of Persia and Greece are those that seek to establish their dominion from the spiritual dimensions and realms of the Nations of Darkness over Earth.

The teachings of Zarathustra (Zoroaster) appeared in Persia during 1700-1800 BCE and became the basis of Zoroastrianism, an ethical or moral philosophy based on the primacy of good thoughts, words, and deeds (good vs. evil).
Zarathustra studied and compiled man’s ancient wisdom, and he represents man’s ethical or moral battle in opposition to the “Queen of the Night.” This is a process of creating a body of knowledge of what man thinks is good versus what is evil, seeking to establish what is of a higher order and what is of a lower-degenerating-regressive order that has dominion in the Nations of Darkness.
Zarathustra founded a system of rational ethics called, “Worship of Wisdom.”…This is worshiping what man thinks is wisdom, what man has crafted, (not worshiping the Creator of all, Elohim).
Plato incorporated much of Zoroasterism into his own Platonic Realism, “Love of Wisdom” in which Plato describes his search for ultimate reason.
Enlightenment writers such as Voltaire promoted research into Zoroastrianism in the belief that it was a form of rational deism (from Latin deus, “god,”), preferable to Christianity which is based on a relationship with Yeshua-Yehovah’, abiding in communion with Him, hearing – receiving prophetic revelation , and recording the voice of God, Yeshua-Yehovah’s Truth, the Anointed Word.
Now consider the following:
Apologetics is named after the Greek god, Apollo! In the Hellenistic age, especially during the 5th century BCE, Apollo became identified among Greeks as Apollo-Helios, the personification of the sun and light, a god in the order of Mithras. Apollo has been deemed to be the god of truth, prophecy, healing, and is presented as an oracular god — the prophetic deity, an important pastoral deity associated with dominion, and the giver of laws.
Hermeneutics, named after the Greek god, Hermes, is a diverse series of ancient and medieval texts that lay the basis of various philosophical systems seeking to thoughtfully combine with reason and logic the knowledge of the material and spiritual worlds. Hermeneutics involves the philosophical study of the principles of interpretation, both theory and methodology, for all forms of communication, written and verbal. Hermeneutics considers the original context as well as what language says, supposes, doesn’t say, and implies.
In order to demonstrate their claim of truth for their theology, Christian writers and orators appropriated the principles of Apologetic and Hermetic teaching for their own purposes combining Christian theology and philosophy to present a rational basis [appealing to reason and logic] for the Christian doctrine, to defend the doctrine against objections and misrepresentation, and to rationalize their claim that the Christian doctrine is the only world view what is faultless and consistent with every aspect of fundamental knowledge and questions.
Christian writers, teachers, and orators (leaning on their own understanding and on the understanding of others) seek to unravel the layers of meaning found within the speaker and hearer by observing, interpreting, and applying Scriptural text to one’s life considering the original time, context, and transmission of Scripture.
So is the following just coincidence or hidden truth?
The name filo (phonetic) or phyllo (transliteration) comes from Greek φύλλο ‘sheet or leaf’. Filo or phyllo is very thin unleavened dough used for making pastries, such as baklava, by layering many very thin sheets of filo or phyllo brushed with oil or butter and then baked.
So, etymology is able to connect “phyllo” to “philosophy” and also to “leaf.” Then we could have as a translation in the book of Genesis “man sought to cover his nakedness before God with many thin leaves” or “man seeks to cover and justify his nakedness before God with world-thought, “philosophy.”
Man is still eating the forbidden fruit, the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, this is – Philosophy, Apologetics, and Hermeneutics! Selah!

Consider how Yeshua-Yehovah’ expresses Truth, and how do we receive it? God’s ordained path for everyone who seeks to know Him is to ask Him to reveal the Light of the Truth that He is, as He would have us see Him today; not by taking thought, leaning on your own understanding, or leaning on the understanding of others.
The spiritual person first asks Yeshua-Yehovah ‘ to receive His wisdom and light. Then, if he is directed to read from Scripture, the energy and the light from what he has received from Yeshua shall illuminate what he is reading. This is not a thought process; this is the process of having your level of awareness raised and illuminated by the Energy and Light of revelation.
The religious person does the opposite. First he reads the Scriptures. Then he takes thought on what he has read, compares that (a form of judgment) to what he thinks that he knows (leans on His own understanding or on another’s), and creates his philosophy and theology from that. Once he thinks that he has justified his interpretation of what he has read with what he thinks that he knows, he then crafts his theology (religion) and a church around that to defend his belief and those that affirm him and his belief.
Also, consider the element of fear and control in religion and church that does not encourage or allow for diversity of belief to be expressed (which can be greatly creative and stimulate much growth). Expressing diversity of belief would cause those who seek to control others to have their need to be the authority questioned.

“PHILOSOPHY” in the Bible:
Col 2: 8-10; See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on our Messiah. For in Yeshua Ben Yosef, our Messiah the total fullness of the Deity abides in the Triune form: Spirit, Soul, and Body. And you have been made complete in Him, who is the head over every ruler and authority. (RC)
1 Corinthians:
1:17 The Messiah did not send me to baptize, but to preach the Good News and not to teach in the language of philosophy in which the Light of the Truth of the crucifixion of the Messiah cannot be expressed and comprehended. Jerusalem Bible 1966.
18-19. The message of the cross is foolishness [absurd and illogical] to those who are perishing and spiritually dead [they have been blinded by the Satan, so they reject the message], but to us who are being saved [by God’s grace] it is the power of God. For it is written and forever remains written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise [the philosophy of the philosophers]; and the cleverness of the clever [those who do not know Me] I will nullify.” AMP.
20-25. Where is the wise man (philosopher)? Where is the scribe (scholar)? Where is the debater (logician, orator) of this age? Has God not exposed the foolishness of this world’s wisdom? For since the world through all its [earthly] wisdom failed to recognize God, God in His wisdom was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached [regarding salvation] to save those who believe [in Yeshua Ben Yosef and welcome Him as Savior]. For Jews demand signs (attesting miracles), and Greeks pursue [worldly] wisdom and philosophy, but we preach Yeshua Ben Yosef crucified, [a message which is] to Jews a stumbling block [that provokes their opposition], and to Gentiles foolishness [just utter nonsense], but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks (Gentiles), Yeshua our Messiah is the power of God and the wisdom of God. [This is] because the foolishness of God [is not foolishness at all and] is wiser than men [far beyond human comprehension], and the weakness of God is stronger than men [far beyond the limits of human effort]. 1 Corinthians 2: ~ NKJV
1-5. And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom [philosophy], but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
6-8. However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
“Human wisdom, the wisdom of men, the wisdom of the age, … their sayings, their words” – there are many different words and ways used in different translations to express the same meaning as “philosophy”

Yehovah’, the Great-Majestic I Am
He Who Was – He Who Is – He Who Will Be
I am that I am the Lord thy God; thou shall not place strange gods before Me.
I did not say that there are no other gods; I said, “Do not place them before Me.” So what do you do when you turn to any other power or authority before you turn to Me? That everyone must answer!
So, what do you do when you lean on your own understanding or lean on another’s understanding? What do you do when you turn to your-self or to the self of another before you turn to Me? And what do you do when you turn to the power and authority of a bottle of aspirin before you turn to Me?
And so, why do you do what you do, or why do you say what you say – but to be what you are in Me, My Love!
When I do not ask it of you, it is of the self of you; have no doubt about that. When I do not ask you to do what you do, when you do not ask, when you do not hear Me, then what you choose is of the self of you or of the self of others, of this or that culture or belief; but it is not of Me. So, when it is of the self of you and not of My directly asking you, then it will not prosper the purpose of Our Father’s Kingdom, and it will not prophet/profit mankind. Therefore, it will not profit you either.
When you suffer condemnation (that is, to suffer loss) it is the fruit of your own choosing; it is not from Me. When you accept and choose anything that is less than what you consider to be best, you have chosen lack. You must know why you do what you do. Know also what is best for your need – know your need. Know the desire of your heart. Ask that you may see it.
What is eternally before everyone – is to choose what brings life or to choose what leads to death. Entering into the thoughts of man in world is not the same as asking to receive My Love and Light and receiving the Anointed Word that I Am.
It is also everyone’s responsibility to know the truth of the Words that they choose to use! So, to what words do you equate in the here and now of Time Eternal?
It is not that man must be worthy to hear the voice of God, Yeshua Ben Yosef; it is that man must hear the voice of Yeshua that he be lifted-up to become worthy.
Forgive us Yeshua-Yehovah’ for not first turning to You and asking.
The self of man is the body of thought that he has created, and “world” is the conglomerate body of men’s thoughts. But thought does not have an energy frequency that is high enough to sustain the apparent form of man’s incarnate body in Terra, the lower 3 dimensions of God’s Creation. Many then enter into self-deceit and self-destruction.
To reason to a conclusion is to eat of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. That equates to philosophy. Man continues to eat the forbidden fruit. Man must first ask Me to receive My Wisdom and Light at-all-times.
1 Corinthians 2:4-5; My message and my preaching were not with persuasive words of philosophy, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that
your faith would not rest on men’s philosophy, but on God’s power.
His oath, His covenant, and His blood, support me in the over whelming flood; when all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay.

The Word “include” encompasses much time-space preparation; and that is why I, Yeshua Ben Yosef, say to you, “Include Me!” It is impossible to include a consciousness for which there is no time-space. Do you see? The energy of My TIME creates the SPACE in which you live and have your being. I am at all times at your door knocking; but when your consciousness is filled with world thought and activity, there is no place for Me to be included. That is what I do, that is what I am, the positive life-flow-energy. My Word is Life, pure Light, the Life of man.

Yes we learned this is our homeschool history book about 20 years ago. It’s too bad true history is not being taught today.
My biggest question is how has it been possible that the Left has made such progress without the Right (and especially God’s people calling a halt to it early on?

Inspire prayer into businesses that are being intentionally taken down for turnaround. Confound our enemy! In our churches unravel confusing doctrine that separates us. In education bless our children from the curse on them. Rain down righteousness on all our dry places all across this land. Visit us with Your Presence that we may truly be saved from our enemies.
