From Newsmax. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, will chair a new House select committee that will probe Big Tech’s interactions with the White House, Axios reported.

The House Select Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government will focus on the Biden administration’s alleged actions in pressuring social media platforms to censor conservative accounts and content.
It is partly a response to Elon Musk’s Twitter Files, Axios reported.
Musk, Twitter’s new owner who took control in October, has leaked internal documents and conversations that took place under the social media platform’s previous management.
Speaker Kevin McCarthy, elected to his position last week, agreed to the select committee’s creation when he was seeking votes from House conservatives.
The House panel will demand copies of White House emails, memos, and other communications with Big Tech companies, sources told Axios. …
Jordan in late December said the Twitter Files raised concerns the FBI “maintained this relationship with Twitter apart from any particularized need for a specific investigation, but as a permanent and ongoing surveillance operation.”
The lawmaker also wrote a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray and requested records on the bureau’s role in Twitter censoring.
Axios said the select committee’s request for documents will be followed by “compulsory processes,” including subpoenas if needed. …

Father, I pray that our leaders who are elected to this investigation will not use it as a platform of any kind; that they will keep commentary to a minimum while investigating, so that “alleged” can be turned into “proof positive” with ALL loop holes of escape attended to. Give these committee members a unity of purpose as they, by their service, show “We The People” that the evidence will demand a fair judgement. Philippians 4:13 has a context of contentment. When we take Scriptures out of context, we get into trouble. Try one like Is. 40:31. But remember, even Satan quoted Ps. 91 out of context during Jesus’ temptation. So beware of how you apply Scripture.
I too pray for Jim Jordan to find the truth. But even more than that, I pray he has a background of knowing the Truth (John 14:6).

I am glad that the Republicans are motivated to investigate the ongoing issues with corruption in our government. I’m so thankful to hear that now they have some power to fight back and are doing it!!. My prayers are with them. I pray they will SEEK God’s Guidance in every move they make towards exposing the unfruitful works of darkness that’s in our government. The battle is not ours but God’s, 2 Chronicles chapter 20.

Lord I thank you that we are able to trust in your word. That all things that have been hidden will be made known … as if You saw every thing done in secret and it will now be exposed before the people.
Let no thing remain hidden. Compel the documents to come forward, without restraint that Your light would reveal the nature and intent of destruction meant against all of Your creation.

Amen! Personally, I think that should be their first order of business.
When the telephone and other utilities which served the public developed, Government saw the need to regulate these utilities for many reasons. Some have tried to get away from regulation by promising to be good–something that has not been a reality.
The Social-media has over-stepped their basic purpose and have apparently trampled our First Amendment rights in the process. They claim that private companies can censor. However, when they serve the public much the way telephones did and other utilities do, then we need to start providing some regulation to insure that they do not trample our freedom of speech and religious rights.
Investigation if it is just investigation will not solve the issue but cause divide. Taking what is found in those investigations and developing effective regulations may help reduce the issues. This needs to be a truly Bi-partisan development. If people will recall–President Biden did away with most of what President Trump put into place. If we pull together in a Bi-partisan effort then what is developed in the form of effective regulation may stay in place regardless which party is in control of the Congress and Senate.

God, in my years I have never prayed for the demise of a government official, but I pray now Mr. Biden (and his entire cabinet) are impeached and experience the wrath of God first hand including the dishonest press secretary who bears false witness with every word.

Give courage to the members of Congress, the courts and the administration to stand against the evil powers hold them in fear. Let Truth be our standard, going before us. True government is the idea of the Creator of All Things Seen And Unseen. If His people do not engage in governmental roles it leaves a void to be filled by others. The governing of nations are best done by His people (as long as they are truely connected with their Creator.
Father, we give you all the praise and honor due your name! Thank you for our now centuries old Constitution which has your blessing in and upon it. Thank you that ALL those in positions of government seek your face and your will, uphold our Constitution and truly serve the people. Thank you, Father, that this committee and the good fruit it bears will not be seen as partisan, but as truth and a just and necessary work to begin the restoration of our nation. Heavenly Father. You admonish us in your Holy Scripture, to Pray for those in government & in authority to us (the president on down. Even those we don’t agree with, which are many! Give the current Congress the wisdom, “Intestinal Fortitude,” & protection to begin to “Make America Great,” once again.

The Lord is the One who formed the government. They have their choice whether or not to do what’s right in the sight of the Lord or not. Just like you and I have a choice whether or not to do what’s right in the sight of the Lord. Romans 13:1.
The problem is that some government officials want to leave God out of what they do!
