Lord, thank You for the rejection of Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions of Israel in the House of Representatives. May our policy toward Israel reflect Your heart.

The US House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a resolution on Tuesday that rejects the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel, after some Democrats expressed concern last week that the measure could cause infighting within the party leading up to the 2020 election.

One of IFA’s most popular devotional series is God Keeps Covenant: God’s Love for Israel. This 5 day devotional explores the heart of God for Israel and the role of Christians in God’s plan for Israel.

The bill — formally known as House Resolution 246 — also calls for increased security aid to Israel and a two-state solution. It passed by a vote of 398-17, with five abstentions.

Sixteen Democrats opposed the bill, including representatives Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, the first two Muslim women elected to Congress. Both support the BDS movement.

One Republican, Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky, voted against the resolution. (Excerpt from Times of Israel.)

We join Capitol Hill Prayer Partners in praying: Father God, once again we shout “Hallelujah” over news of this vote. Lord God, our people love Israel and wish to stand with her, always. This wicked BDS program would have served to place a stranglehold on Israel’s economy. We say NO in Jesus’ name, and we thank You for this tremendous show of support that was demonstrated yesterday by this bipartisan show of support for Zion:’ a vote of 398-17. Praise God! “He who blesses you, I will bless . . .” (Gen. 12:3)

  1. Thank you, Lord, for those who supported the vote. You have said you will bless those who bless Isreal. I pray continued support for Your people and for peace in Jerusalem. May Thy kingdom come and Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. HALALULAH and amen.

  2. lord, God Almighty…you alone know all the schemes and traps of the enemy. Bring about laws in our country that only serve to bless and come along side Israel; doing nothing to harm, for Christ’s name sake. Destroy every plot to do harm or bring trouble for Israel. Move the hearts of Americans to love Israel as your chosen people. Equip your church with the wisdom to recognize the position America plays in assisting Israel. Let nothing of evil intent slip by our law makers in relation to Israel and America’s relationship with her. Bless President Trump with another term as President of the United States so he might be used of You, Father, to stand firmly with Israel and her leaders. Cover this relationship with a shield of Your Divine Power. So Be It! To God be the glory!

  3. The downside of this bill was a call for a two-state solution. We should not pressure Israel to give up land. For 19 years Jordon owned the disputed land and never considered starting a “Palestinian State”. No reason to do that now. We should not separate Israel from the land God gave them.

  4. Our Heavenly Father, our President and many groups and organizations like AIPAC and CUFI support and have blessed Israel. Grace and favor have been granted to Israel. Israel has been blessed in Resolutions, Acts, economically, militarily and prayers, that ALL Israel will be saved. Remember us LORD — (And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.) Remember your promise, look upon the nations that bless Israel, turn us from our captivity, restore us to You, Romans 1:16
[ The Righteous Shall Live by Faith ] For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Thank you Heavenly Father for a great salvation, through the blood of Christ Jesus. Amen.

  5. Dear Lord, we rejoice that the vote against BDS was overwhelming. The Keeper of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. Those that stumble against Israel stumble against the Rock of Israel. We pray for the peace and prosperity of Jesus Name we pray, Amen

  6. Hallelujah most Holy God! You protect Israel, You bless those who bless Israel. Thank You for stopping the BDS campaign. Reveal to those sponsoring this injustice Your displeasure and grant them a spirit of repentance. Father, You are merciful and longsuffering and would that no man should perish but that all would know Yeshua, Your only Son, as their personal Savior.
Lord, we cry for revival in Your church and a great awakening in America. I declare 2 Chronicles 7:14 over America and Your Word never returns void but always accomplishes Your purposes.

      1. Father God, You establish our borders. You established Israel’s borders (Numbers 34) as their inheritance. I pray for security and peace in the nation as we unite with Your Word as to Israel’s inheritance. Lord, we give You no rest till Your will is accomplished. We stand with You, O God and pray for peace in Jerusalem, Your Holy City. Open blind eyes and ears that cannot hear to know their Messiah Yeshua and be reconciled to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

  7. Lord, please confuse the strategy of the demonic realm pitted against Israel. Make one lie prove another wrong until they kill each other and fall to the ground, in Jesus name, Amen.
