The HHS plans to implement new regulations that destroy the concept of religious conscience in the medical field. Now is the time for prayer.
From The Washington Times. The Biden administration plans to remove a Trump-era conscience clause that protected medical workers from participating in services like abortions and transgender sex-change treatments.
A Health and Human Services spokesperson confirmed to Politico on Tuesday that the agency “has made clear through the unified regulatory agenda that we are in the rulemaking process” to implement the new regulations as early as later this month.
That confirms the expectations of Catholic religious liberty advocates and progressive sexual-rights advocates who have battled over the issue of religious conscience ever since Obamacare mandated a decade ago that Catholic schools, hospitals and religious orders pay for contraceptive services in their employee health care plans.
The Trump administration introduced the conscience clause in 2018 to reverse an earlier 2016 HHS ruling that required health care providers to perform gender-transition services and providers, insurers and employers to cover those services in their health plans….
Attorney Martin Nussbaum, general counsel for the Colorado-based Catholic Benefits Association, said Tuesday that his religious liberty advocacy group expects HHS to issue seven distinct rules later this month and early next month — including a redefinition of sex-based discrimination in Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act that will make it impossible for Christians to refuse abortion services on moral grounds….
Mr. Nussbaum predicted the forthcoming regulations will include changes that force religious hospitals and employers to cover surgical abortions, cross-sex hormones, gender-transition surgeries, gender-affirming cosmetic surgeries and voice modification in their insurance plans — as well as expanded services for fertility treatments, contraception, abortifacients and sterilizations….

Heavenly Father. The depravity of this administration knows no bounds, now attempting to force health care providers to perform these depraved and evil acts. I pray you would confuse their efforts and cause this legislation to fail. Open the eyes of Americans so they will see and understand how truly terrible these policies are.

We thank You that indeed You are KING of kings and LORD of lords. We take the authority You have delegated to us and forbid implementation of rules, programs and systems in these United States of America that run counter to Your will and ways. We declare again and repeatedly that the United States of America is ONE nation under YOU, ALMIGHTY GOD and we call forth restoration of men’s hearts to look only to You for instruction in righteousness and Your transfomative power through Holy Spirit. We thank You for and continue to declare that the foundation on which this nation has been established is You and Your throne is established on the pillars of righteousness and justice (Psalm 89:14 and Ps. 97:2) Psalm 89:14 also affirms that mercy and truth go before Your face. Regardless of what we see, we declare that TRUTH and integrity abound in the medical profession, the educational profession, the entertainment/athletic fields, the economic realm, the political arena. We refuse to agree with the plans and deception of the defeated foe and we commit to focus our attention on YOU O GOD and YOUR realm, character, ways and plans. We seek Your Face alone and commit to surrender our wills to Yours. Thank You, Father, for empowering us to be faithful. We love You and pray by virtue of Your Son’s sacrifice for Your glory.
Father, I pray this new rule would be thrown out.. May HHS not be able to force doctors to violate their consciences. I pray for doctors and nurses that they would be brave to stand for the right and not allow the pressure of the government to force them to do wrong. I pray for righteousness in our government and its agencies.

And when I speak Your attributes from my finite mind, I am strengthened knowing there is NO END. Once again, this administration is planning wickedness, which clearly demonstrates their disdain of Your authority. Please keep us free from this evil yoke of slavery Lord and abolish it for all time. I pray You will strike down any plans that defy You. And I pray what will be, will abundantly EXCEED the conscience clause that has been in place. I pray YOU will make YOUR will clear to these men and women who speak the enemies language. I am strengthened in the asking of all things and I know You will answer because I am holding fast to You, I love You Lord. Thank You Jesus for making it so. I pray in the Names of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. Amen
