College campuses around the country doubled down on their “social justice” insanity in 2019. Here some of our favorite stories from the campus beat from 2019’s spring semester.

5. The University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, refuses to recognize Christian student group.

In February, the University of Colorado found itself as the defendant in a lawsuit with a Christian student group, who was not able to receive official university recognition on the basis of their proposed rule that the leaders of their group must be Christian.

In direct violation of these principles, the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (“University” or “UCCS”)—applying both its own policies and those of the University of Colorado Board of Regents—has refused to register Ratio Christi. It has refused to do so specifically because this religious organization seeks to ensure that its leaders share its beliefs and that its members support its mission, even though other student organizations do the same….

4. Long Island University kills “Blackbirds” nickname after some call it “racist.”

Earlier this year, Long Island University decided to kill off its beloved “Blackbird” mascot. The mascot, which had been in use at the university for 84 years, had been deemed “racist” by some members of the university community….

3. George Mason students say Brett Kavanaugh poses threat to their “mental health.”

In April, a group of students at George Mason University protested the institution’s decision to bring Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh on as a visiting professor to the law school’s faculty.

“As a survivor of sexual assault this decision has really impacted me negatively,” one student said during a campus meeting. “It is affecting my mental health knowing that an abuser will be part of our faculty.”

2. Georgetown students vote to pay annual slavery reparations fee

Earlier this year, students at Georgetown University voted to create an annual reparations fee that will indirectly go towards the descendants of the slaves that were once owned by the institution.

Over two-thirds of all students that participated in the referendum voted in favor of the new reparations fee. The fee will cost each student $27.20 each semester and be added directly to the student’s tuition costs.

1. Department of Justice reveals wide-ranging college admissions bribery scandal, implicating celebrities and business executives.

In March, the Department of Justice charged over 40 parents over their participating in a wide-ranging college admissions scheme orchestrated by William “Rick” Singer. As a part of the scheme, some parents paid bribes as high as $1 million to have their children admitted to elite universities…. (Excerpted from Breitbart News article by Tom Ciccotta)

Father God, I lift up the college campuses across the United States. I pray for every Christian student, Christian professor, Christian administrator, and Christians who serve in any capacity on these campuses. Oh God, strengthen these Christians: fill them with Your Holy Spirit and give them great wisdom, knowledge, understanding, discernment, insight and revelation. Give them great courage to stand strong and faithful to Jesus. Grant them Your divine protection.
Help them to be the salt that causes others to be thirsty for a relationship with Jesus. Help them to be the light on these campuses that wakens and illuminates the minds and hearts of those who are in darkness.
Father God, we boldly ask You to establish a great transforming revival on every college campus in America. Cause these institutions to be places where Your truth is known and taught.
We ask all this in the Name that is above all names, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Heavenly Father, Thank YOU for all that YOU are doing to save the USA. Father, we need YOU to reveal the TRUTH so that we can be set free from all the lies and deceptions of the liberal agenda, the press, and those who are already deceived. I agree with Sara, praying Mark 4:22 “For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.” Jesus is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. SHINE JESUS, SHINE fill the world with YOUR LIGHT. We are tired of the devil, his lies, deceptions, his darkness.
In Jesus’ MIGHTY NAME I pray. Amen.

Our Father in heaven, we seek you on behalf of our Nation as we are sinking deeper and deeper into the abyss. We your people must seek your face, confess our sins and turn from our wicked ways, then you will hear from heaven and heal our land. Hear us Oh God of the Universe we implore you to intervene on our behalf. You are our only hope.

Amen! Father, I pray Your word in Mark 4:22 over our nation’s misguided students. (NKJV) “For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.” Father, please reveal Your truth to those who seek justice. In Jesus’ sweetest name, Amen!
