Major pro-life legislation advanced in Ohio and Wisconsin. Thank God for the actions taken by legislators in these states.
The Ohio Senate overwhelmingly approved legislation Wednesday to stop infanticide by ensuring that babies who survive abortions receive basic medical care.
State Senate Bill 157 passed in a 25-6 vote and now heads to the state House for consideration.
The pro-life bill would create penalties for abortionists who fail to preserve the health or life of a child who survives an abortion. It also would require abortionists to report to the Ohio Department of Health when a baby is born alive in a botched abortion.
“The bill acknowledges the simple fact that regardless of the circumstances surrounding his or her birth, every child deserves our compassion and care,” said Sen. Terry Johnson, R-McDermott, a physician and the lead sponsor of the legislation. . . .
Babies do survive abortions, though no one is sure exactly how many. In America, most states do not keep track of abortion survivors, but a few do.
Between 2016 and 2018, three states reported 40 babies were born alive after botched abortions. According to the state health data, 11 babies were born alive in Minnesota, 10 in Arizona and 19 in Florida. Texas reported six babies were born alive in botched abortions in 2019. In Michigan, state health reports from 2008 through 2013 indicate that 11 babies were born alive after abortions.
Statistics from the Centers for Disease Control, as well as the personal testimonies of nurses and abortion survivors themselves, also provide evidence that babies survive abortions. According to the CDC, at least 143 babies were born alive after botched abortions between 2003 and 2014 in the U.S., though there likely are more.
A recent analysis by the Charlotte Lozier Institute found that protections for babies who survive abortions are inconsistent across the United States, with fewer than half of states maintaining sufficient protections. (Excerpt from Life News)
The Wisconsin legislature is expected to pass four pro-life bills Wednesday to educate and empower parents while protecting their unborn babies from being killed in abortions.
The Republican-led state Assembly is expected to approve the bills after the state Senate passed them by a strong majority last week. The legislation soon will head to Gov. Tony Evers’ desk. A pro-abortion Democrat, Evers is expected to veto the legislation.
All four bills would provide life-saving information and support to protect unborn babies from abortion. Prior to the vote, Republican lawmakers said the measures should not be controversial and they should have bipartisan support. . .
The Woman’s Right to Know Act (Senate Bill 591), sponsored by state Sen. Chris Kapenga, R-Delafield, would require abortionists to inform their patients of the life-saving abortion pill reversal procedure, which has saved more than 2,500 babies’ lives thus far.
Another bill, the Prenatal Diagnosis Information Act (Senate Bill 592), would require doctors to provide educational resources and support to parents whose unborn babies test positive for congenital disorders.
A third bill, the Shield the Vulnerable Act (Senate Bill 593), would ban discriminatory abortions that are performed solely based on the unborn baby’s sex, race or disability diagnosis.
A fourth bill would defund Planned Parenthood and other abortion groups of tax dollars by prohibiting abortion facilities from being state-certified Medicaid providers, the Journal Sentinel reports.

However, remember they will just go to nearby States.
I work for a major University where someone was traveling to my state from a nearby state to have a non-medical abortion.
I had to schedule it.
I wasn’t aware when I took this job I would be doing this.
I quit.

The pope is a man just like yourself. He may dress himself in splendor and live like a king but I assure you, when he stands before the Lord God Almighty, he will have no greater position than the least among us. Jesus Christ is the only One to forgive sin and He said, on the Day of Judgement, we will all give an account of every careless word spoken. By our words we will be acquitted or condemned. (Matthew 12) I cannot even imagine the judgement for those condoning the murder of babies, millions upon millions of lost lives. I cannot even imagine the judgement for those who have made a business harvesting their tiny organs.
The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, but is patient with you. He doesn’t want anyone to perish but you must repent to receive His gift of salvation. I am praying for your salvation President Biden. I humbly ask that the Lord would change your heart of stone to flesh. “And I pray you will grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.” (2 Peter 3:18)

This is truly good news, although it is just a start. There appears to be a grass roots groundswell occurring in our nation that is strongly pro-life. This is very encouraging. When an issue is taken to prayer(50 days for life), God hears our prayers, and prayer has the power to change things! Even though this is but a start in regards to the pro-life movement, it is very positive news. Lord Jesus, please, let this be but a beginning of a powerful pro-life movement across America. Please, Lord, when the Supreme Court makes their decisions about abortion, let the rulings reflect a distinct pro- life stance. I also ask, Lord, that the decisions for life will have far-reaching implications for our nation. In Jesus’ name.
Father, I plead for the lives of little ones. I pray terror would fall upon everyone involved with Planned Parenthood and every single person who would harm a child. For the industry that has been created harvesting tiny body parts, I pray death. For the individuals who do this work, I pray an overwhelming, life consuming, Godly sorrow. Please forgive this nation for the atrocities that have been committed against babies, born and unborn. How did we get to the point where we have to make laws that force a doctor to provide life saving care to a living baby. Where are men’s hearts that this wouldn’t be a natural reaction? Lord God, have mercy on this country and turn our hearts back to you. Convict our lawmakers and leaders, remove the scales from their eyes. Bind Satan, especially in this area of protection for the most innocent. In Jesus name we pray these things!
Abba Father open the eyes of those who would kill an unborn child to the horror of this procedure and convict them of this sin so that they refuse to take part in this murder and give them a heart for you and for life in Jesus’s mighty name I pray. Amen
