There is a common misperception in the faith community that in the final days, society will be utterly disintegrated, totally corrupt, and absolutely evil, and that the Antichrist will be ruling with unstoppable force.
Some imagine that, as in some low-budget zombie movie, there will be unrelenting darkness, war-torn cities with dilapidated buildings, and hordes of crazed humans and legions of demons controlling everything, while the faithful just hunker down in their bunkers, focused only on their own safety.
Fortunately, that is not what the Bible teaches.
Yes, darkness and corruption will be part of the final days, as they have been part of every generation. But this is only portion of the story. There is a powerful word of prophecy in the Bible that aptly describes what we can really expect in the final days:
Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Lord will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you. And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. Lift up your eyes all around, and see; they all gather together, they come to you; your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be carried on the hip. Then you shall see and be radiant; your heart shall thrill and exult, because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you (Isaiah 60:1–5).
This passage describes how the power of God will come upon His people in such a glorious manner that entire nations will come to us because of what we have to offer. There is a coming grand finale of the work of believers that will be nothing like what we have seen in the past.
We will no longer take the back seat. We will no longer be minimalized. We will no longer be persecuted. Our hearts will be filled with joy. We will receive excess riches from the nations.
This will be a profound work of God in His Church. He invites us to participate in this wonderful work. As Derek Prince wrote in the book that inspired the founding of IFA, Shaping History Through Prayer and Fasting, God’s end-time purpose for the Church is restoration and completion, and the power for it comes from united prayer and fasting.
This is why I am inviting you to a strategic prayer summit and celebration for IFA’s 50th anniversary, to help prepare men and women of faith for the coming mighty move of God. Celebrate with us all that God has already done, as we also look forward together to what He yet plans to do.

Isaiah 60:1–5 is God’s promise specifically to Jerusalem. (See v. 14.) To say it speaks of “us,” that is, Gentile believers in Christ, is true by extension, by God’s grafting us in through our faith in Christ, but we cannot overshadow the first ones God called, the Jews. (“…to the Jews first and also to the Greeks….”) God is faithful and will not allow His promise to fail.

Lord give us the knowledge, understanding and wisdom to seek you and follow you through the journey set before us. We , you people , need your guidance in living and standing for truth in our nation as well as our individual lives. . I’m asking for your help in Jesus’ name.

Father, in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I pray for this history-making event in Washington D.C. I pray for your will to be done in the reshaping of our nation into the God-fearing nation You desire it to be. I pray for safe travels for each person and group who will make this trip. Glorify Thy name as You transform this nation into Your nation. Thank you, Father. Amen.

…the power of God will come upon His people in such a glorious manner that entire nations will come to (HIM) because of (WHO HE IS).
Dear Heavenly Father, I am praying with countless others that You will lead this strategic prayer summit and celebration, perceptibly. As You prepare these men and women of faith, do the same with all of us called by Your Name by giving us Your vision of what You will be bringing to our nation and the world. Please Lord and God, reveal a perfect strategy to block the plans of the enemy, that are being embraced in our culture. I pray Your strategy exceeds ALL of our expectations….Oh My God, IT DOES and the government will be upon HIS SHOULDERS! When the disciples asked Jesus “We want to perform God’s works, too. What should we do?” Jesus replied, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.” I believe, I believe, I BELIEVE! Amen
Praise God for the IFA. Father in Jesus name bless this event give us power and unity to see Your manifest presence bringing the body into alignment through out our land. Amen

I clicked Amen because truly only God can save America.But standing and waiting is not an option. Jesus said we are to “occupy” until He comes. That means, we are to be about His work.
Jesus, you have anointed IFA for 50 years. I ask you to continue to bless IFA with discernment and wisdom and speak to their hearts. Give them the fire and courage to follow your leading and increase the numbers of people that need to be connected to IFA.
Sounds like this interpretation of Is. 60 is based on the Dominion Theology or Seven Mt Mandate which comes from the Latter Day Rain Movement. It says “the Church” will take back the seven mountains of society and set up the kingdom on Earth so Jesus can return. This is NOT Scriptural. I agree with Karen. This article sounds a bit like replacement theology and the church has NOT replaced Israel.
Agree. The scripture is talking about how Israel will be restored, America is not mentioned in scripture
I agree. This passage in Isaiah is speaking specifically about Israel. Jesus described what we will experience in Matthew 24. A time of intense persecution, betrayal, and even martyrdom. During this same time, we will also take the gospel of the Kingdom to the whole world as a testimony to all nations. Presumably the persecution will occur precisely because we are spreading the gospel.

Thank you for IFA and for the encouragement they give to believers in a lost and dying world. Please bless them on their 50th anniversary and let them bring great glory to you.
Yes Lord God, let us continue to pray for fresh Hope and renewal in Christian churches. Let people only seek the truth of Jesus Christ and not be misguided!
It is true that the days preceding the Messiah’s return will be days of testing of the hearts of men and women all over the world. We are called as disciples of Yeshua to have no fear, each day has enough trouble of its own, and , “in this world you will have tribulation, but do not fear, for I have overcome the world.”
We also need to remember these promises in precedence and context. Yeshua spoke these words firstly to His Jewish audience in the setting of the land of Israel, His homeland. The prophet Isaiah was also speaking, “Arise! Shine!….” to the people and the Land of Israel.
We must remember that everything written in Scripture is to national Israel first, and then is extended to those who are aligned with the hope and goal of the restoration of God’s kingdom to Israel proper in the faith of The Messiah, Son of David, Yeshua, our Messiah, the seed of Avraham.
We have a vital role to play in bringing these promises into fruition, but we need to humbly recognize that they are not for the nations, unless they are bound in love and devotion to the God, people, and land of Israel. Shalom in Yeshua. 🙂
It is my personal belief that the passage in Isiah 60 and the whole chapter is describing the future glory of Zion and Israel during the Millennial kingdom of Jesus when He rules and reigns from Jerusalem, not to the last days on earth as we are living in now.
Absolutely! This is not for the Church Who will be in z heaven during the 70th week of Daniel
It is my personal belief that this verse in Isiah 60:1-5 ( and in fact the whole chapter) is referring to the future glory of Zion and Israel when Jesus returns and establishes His rule in the millennial kingdom, not the last days on earth as we are in now.

If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land!!!

Rev 13:7 Then the beast was permitted to wage war against the saints and to conquer them, and it was given authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
Isaiah 60 given to millenial Israel. And yet the Ekklesia will be radiant in its suffering and power. Even as today She is radiant in Africa and Asia and Iran et al

Lord, renew, refresh and restore prayer, fasting, and truth to the church in America. Also, restore faith, hope, and love in Jesus’ name. We welcome and need you Holy Spirit. Use this time of celebration as a time of remembrance for all you have already done and time of preparation for what you are going to do. Bring your children to new levels of prayer and intercession for our nation. Pour out your spirit on us so that we might pray your heart for our beloved USA. We choose to align with the Almighty to cause changes to happen expediently to free us from all the attacks of the enemy. Are you speaking of the Church before the Rapture? After the Rapture there will be no Church on the earth. It is the Church that is holding back the Anti-Christ. What we see are events leading up to the Tribulation.
I know and believe that satan has 1 purpose and that is to steal, kill and destroy. I also know that Jesus said that He has come to give His children life and that more abundantly so, I really don’t believe that satan can do anything without the Lord allowing him to do it. Just as in the book of Job, God gave the enemy permission to touch Jobs life but only to an extent. So, unless God is going to use satan to destroy mankind using AI, computers or anything else, The Lord will have to allow it.
Those verses in Isaiah are speaking to Israel and the Jewish people during the Millennial Kingdom not now and not the church.
The church does not replace Israel!

Please read these quoted verses in context.
This is not addressed to the end-time Church but to the nation of Israel as it is being restored for God’s holy name’s sake. After all, does Isaiah 60:12 in any way apply to the Church? It also addresses gentile members of the Church who are supposed to be helping Israel’s restoration with prayers and finances and in other ways Isa. 60:3, 5-11).
If you take these verses out of context, then it comes across as being a teaching in line with Replacement theology – which I assume that you and the rest of the IFA community stands against.
We need to interpret prophecies in context and literally, as Jesus did, and only then can we spiritualize what it is teaching the Body of Messiah.

Thank you! Thank you! I was going to write t h e same basic text. Yes, this is a prophesy for Israel, not the church!
My prayer is that we all can walk and talk in a manner that we shine every day. That others will ask, and we will be ready with the answer as to why our hope and Savior is in Jesus Christ.
My prayer is exactly that, that even when darkness increases, God’s glory would shine brighter. He can do anything, but He chooses to accomplish His will through with our prayers. Shaping His story, how many historic events have been shaped by intercession. It encourages me to never stop praying.
Thank you IFA for always informing us how to pray for the nation, and being a beacon of hope in the face of hopelessness.

Isaiah 60:1-5 is speaking about Israel and the Jewish people during the Millennial Kingdom. It has nothing to do with America. America is not in the scriptures.
It is a false belief that America “will be saved!”
America has turned her back on God as a nation and God’s judgment is falling on us now. He has given people “over” to their sin and removed His hand of blessing. Read Romans 1:18-32.
Individual believers still have God’s blessings and provision on their lives.
America has also undermined Israel, God’s chosen land and people which is God’s red line.
Israel will stand alone during the Tribulation as God draws His chosen people to Himself.
Israel is the epicenter of God’s end times plan,
All scripture applies to everyone at ALL times. That is a religious spirit and legalism that blinds you. And yes, America will be saved. Lord, thank you for waking up your Church and making us a mighty army for the end time harvest in Jesus’ mighty Name. Amen!
