GIANTS PITCHER WILL NOT KNEEL FOR BLM MOMENT PRIOR TO NATIONAL ANTHEM

Lord, help us to stand against anything that goes against your Word and values. Thank you for this act of courage.

San Francisco Giants relief pitcher Sam Coonrod was the only player who refused to take a knee prior to the national anthem Thursday, nor did he bow to the Black Lives Matter agenda.

After the game, Coonrod explained why he refused to join his teammates in supplication to the leftist agenda, saying that he “can’t kneel before anything besides God.” . . .

“I’m a Christian, like I said, and I just can’t get on board with a couple of things that I have read about Black Lives Matter. How they lean towards Marxism and they’ve said some negative things about the nuclear family,” Coonrod said, according to NBC Sports Bay Area. “I just can’t get on board with that.”

The pitcher added that he didn’t make his decision against kneeling until very near the game and also did not discuss his intentions with his team. . . .

“The one thing that we said is we were going to let people express themselves,” Kapler said after the game. “We were going to give them the choice on whether they were going to stand, kneel, or do something else. That was a personal decision for Sam.”

Captioned “we are one,” the video of the demonstration posted to social media pointedly did not show Coonrod’s refusal to participate. . . .

Coonrod’s brave stance is noticeable in the following photo of the pre-game demonstration:

  1. Thank God for Coonrod and his brave stance, which is the only right thing he could’ve done as a true believer. He’s right about Black Lives Matter, the organization. Just go to their website to verify – they admit they are Marxist and against the family as we know it. They are very pro-abortion, so black lives in the womb DON’T matter to them. My prayer, that we all as Christians can be as brave as Mr. Coonrod and always STAND for the Lord and Biblical values. In these days, gain strength by staying at Jesus’ feet and seeking His face, to be filled with His Spirit, empowered, and anointed. Draw closer than ever before – you will need it! ♥️

  2. Jesus stood alone, and by His sacrifice saved a world for all who will receive Him. I believe your brave action has spoken to many and will help others to stand for TRUTH.

  3. I am so thankful for people like Sam who chose to honor God first and to let the Lord direct his actions. That was a very big example of what can God can do in and through us when we are led by the Holy Spirit and to use our talents as a platform by which we can honor God.

  4. Kudos for this San Francisco Giants player. He is a great witness to how players should act. There were a few Astros players that stood also but cameras did not want to show them. I am very disappointed in MLB this year. I will not be watching baseball because of the kneeling.

  5. God Bless you Sam for standing up for what is right in the eyes of God. I only pray the more MEN would stand up for what they know is right. Sam continue to do the will of God, and He will bless you for it. You are in my prayers. God Bless John 3:16

  6. praising his boldness and not caving to peer and political pressure. This is the example we , all believers, Must continue to do. We are called to be set apart no matter what.

  7. Thank you so much for standing, Sam! You look like one of the three Hebrew boys in the fire to me! And no doubt there is a fourth man named Jesus who is with you. We also pray for all your other teammates and know you will show God’s love to them!

  8. In a country dominated by Satanic spirits, and evil, this young man is doing more to beat back those evil forces than most. If people can kneel for a Marxist hatred of our country, flag, and God, then people can STAND FOR GOD, COUNTRY, and FAITH. Pray for this Christian athlete and pray that you and your family have the courage and faith to stand for God when given the opportunity. We are in the end times and persecution is promised to us before the rapture. Thank you Sam Coonrod for your faith. We serve an awesome God.

  9. Thank you, Sam Coonrod, for taking a stand for Jesus and the USA, and for refusing to participate in political correctness. I hope and pray that many more conservative Christian Americans will be so brave. In these troubled times we’re living in, we conservative Christians all need to get out and make our voices heard. The Left has silenced us time and time again, and we need to let them know that we will be silent no more! I am taking a stand for Jesus and for this country! The Lord is my strength and my shield!

  10. Lord, I pray for Sam Coonrod, that You will bless him for taking a bold stand for You. I pray that You will strengthen him and protect him so that he can continue to be a light to his teammates and to many others in the sports world.

  11. Thank you Sam for taking a bold and courageous step in going against the flow of bending the knee for an ungodly movement. Bless you in your stand and may others who are intimidated would follow your example.

Lord give Sam greater boldness to do and say those things that are right in Your sight.

    24
  12. Sam, the courage that took, left an impression on me to be bolder in my daily live. Thank you for standing for truth. He alone is worthy. “We are not defined by the likes of many, but the love of ONE.”
