“Collective human intelligence is capable of discovering acceptable solutions for the problems which confront us. We must work together to direct political and moral influences through channels of wisdom, not channels of brute force, or ambition. Using common sense as our guide, we must unite with the entire human family in establishing a limited world government capable of settling international disputes through a system of law. We must establish as a parallel objective the building of an enduring balance between human activities and the world of nature. These will be the first steps in creating an enduring Age of Reason.”

These words are how RC Christian prefaces his book Common Sense Renewed, which was written six years after the Georgia Guidestones were erected in the Granite Capital of the World, Elberton, Georgia.

Who is praying on the wall?

RC Christian wasn’t his real name, but rather a pseudonym for this man, who mysteriously arrived in the unsuspecting community of Elberton during the summer of 1979. “Mr. Christian” was looking for a company that could build a 19-foot granite monument, which would serve as a compass, calendar and a clock. This “monument to conservation” would feature ten guidelines written in eight different languages (English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese, Russian). These messages, sandblasted onto the faces of four upright stones, were meant to guide future generations of humans on planet earth, providing wisdom for their survival.

RC Christian said he used the pseudonym Christian because “it represented his own beliefs and those of the organization that planned and funded the project,” which had been in the works for over 20 years. He insisted that his sponsors, as well as himself, remain anonymous forever.

After some negotiation, Joe Fendley, President of the Elberton Granite Finishing Corporation, agreed to take on the massive project, which would require over 951 cubic feet of granite and weigh up to 119 tons.

On March 22, 1980, the Georgia Guidestones were revealed to the world at a ceremony attended by approximately 400 people. The giant structure, standing in the middle of a cow pasture, loomed over the crowd with these eerie guidelines:

• Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
• Guide reproduction wisely–improving fitness and diversity.
• Unite humanity with a living new language.
• Rule passion–faith–tradition–and all things with tempered reason.
• Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
• Let all nations rule internally, resolving external disputes in a world court.
• Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
• Balance personal rights with social duties.
• Prize truth–beauty–love–seeking harmony with the infinite.
• Be not a cancer on the earth–Leave room for nature.

The words on the stones did not sit well with many people–particularly Christians, some of whom have nicknamed them the “Ten Commandments of the New World Order.” Their engraved messages about world governance, population/reproduction control, universal religion/spirituality and environmental overtones have caused many to wonder if they were designed by a team of globalists who were revealing their plans in plain sight.

Despite their controversial nature, the Guidestones hadn’t garnered much attention until recently. At 4:03 a.m. on July 6, 2022, an explosion took place that left half of the monument lying in a heap of rubble. Elberton Granite Association Vice President Chris Kubas explained that one stone section was completely shattered and the capstone on top was also severely damaged. By evening time on July 6^th, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation had the rest of the monument demolished due to  safety concerns. With the capstone damaged, the stability of the structure was in question.

Northern Circuit District Attorney Parks White stated that he will prosecute the person or persons responsible for destroying the Guidestones and described the act as “domestic terrorism.” Elberton Mayor Daniel Graves echoed this statement by saying that the destruction of the Guidestones was an “act of radicalism.” He commented further by adding, “the Guidestones are unique and confusing to many, but the message they testify to has never been what’s written on them or what some kooky YouTuber thinks they mean. It is the stones themselves and the men and women who crafted them from the raw earth that tell the story,” Graves said.

But is it accurate to say that the message the Guidestones testify to has never been what’s written on them? After all, the man who commissioned their creation has written about it extensively in the Georgia Guidestones Guidebook, which can be viewed here, as well as his book, Common Sense Renewed (viewable here). His words leave the reader with a clear picture about what he believed, as well as his intentions for the Georgia Guidestones.

RC Christian and his sponsors’ views on population control and reproduction are spelled out plainly in this quote from the Georgia Guidestones Guidebook:

“In 1980, as these stones were being raised, the most pressing world problem was the need to control human numbers. In recent centuries, technology and abundant fuels have made a possible multiplication of humanity beyond what is prudent or long sustainable…Controlling our reproduction is urgently needed. It will require major changes in our attitudes and customs…In these circumstances, reproduction is no longer exclusively a personal matter. Society must have a voice and some power of direction in regulating this vital function. The wishes of human couples are important, but not paramount. The interests of present society and the welfare of future generations must be given increasing consideration as we develop mechanisms to bring rational control to our childbearing. No person should be brought into the world unwanted or unneeded. No child should be conceived through carelessness. If each life is to have value, every conception must be part of an ordered plan of two parents who are aware of their responsibilities to that child and to society. It is extremely important that every national government develop immediately a considered Population Policy. The need is urgent. It should take precedence over other problems, even those relating to national defense. Population control is a global problem.”

If that wasn’t shocking enough, consider this other quote from the Georgia Guidestones Guidebook. “Irresponsible childbearing must be discouraged by legal and social pressures. Couples who cannot provide a decent home and support for a child should not produce children or be a burden to their neighbors. Bringing unneeded children into an overcrowded lifeboat is evil…Society should not encourage or subsidize such behavior. Knowledge and techniques for regulating human reproduction are now in existence. Moral and political leaders have a grave responsibility to make this knowledge and these techniques generally available. This could be done with a fraction of the funds which the world now devotes to military purpose.”

These quotes should send a chill down the spine of any God-fearing Christian because the Word declares that every life has value and no child is “unneeded.” As Psalm 139:13,16 declares, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb…your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Also, the Lord tells us, “be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth (Genesis 1:28). Noah was told to “increase greatly on the earth and multiply in it,” (Genesis 9:7).

RC Christian wrote Common Sense Renewed after the Guidestones were erected, sending a copy to every member of the U.S. Congress, as well as several thousand shapers of public opinion around the globe. Some details in the book sound eerily similar to those espoused by the Nazis during World War 2, as seen in the quote below.

“Desirable mental and physical qualities can be enhanced in future human populations by encouraging their reproduction and by discouraging the reproduction of their opposites. Talents which are considered to be marks of genius when they occur infrequently today can be made to occur more frequently in the world of tomorrow if we increase the contribution of gifted persons to the total gene pool through 10 to 20 generations. Over 3,000 human disorders have now been identified as genetically determined. We can reduce their frequency in the human population of tomorrow if we discourage childbearing by known carriers.”

Some people who have studied the writings of RC Christian and his sponsors feel relief that these giant stones have finally fallen. Yet, echoes of the ideas etched on the Guidestones are found in the belief systems of many global leaders, as well as members of our own communities. Afterall, abortion is a means of reproduction and population control. Agenda 2030 promises that no one will be a cancer on the earth. The “Build Back Better” plan will unite humanity through global governance. Digital currencies and IDs, coupled with total surveillance will balance personal rights with social duties. Genetic therapies and manipulation can help guide reproduction and diversity.

But there’s one more message on the Guidestones that sums up all the others. Sandblasted along the square capstone, and sitting on top of the giant structure is a title message to anyone who views the monument–“Let these be guidestones to an age of reason.” This message, written in Babylonian cuneiform, Egyptian hieroglyphics, Sanskrit and Classical Greek, should not be overlooked because it’s the key to understanding the spirit behind the creation of the massive stones. One only has to examine RC Christian’s book, Common Sense Renewed, to decipher what “an age of reason” means. On page 1, “Mr. Christian” introduces his inspiration for this phrase–Revolutionary activist and philosopher Thomas Paine. RC Christian writes, “he appealed to reason as the proper tool for resolving problems peacefully.” But if we look deeper into the belief system of Thomas Paine, we find that he was not a Christian, but a deist who challenged the inspiration of the Bible, even denouncing Christianity and those who follow it. The quotes below are from Thomas Paine’s book, titled The Age of Reason, written almost two decades after the Declaration of Independence.

“Of all the systems of religion that ever were invented, there is no more derogatory to the Almighty, more unedifying to man, more repugnant to reason, and more contradictory to itself than this thing called Christianity. Too absurd for belief, too impossible to convince and too inconsistent for practice, it renders the heart torpid or produces only atheists or fanatics. As an engine of power, it serves the purpose of despotism, and as a means of wealth, the avarice of priests, but so far as respects the good of man in general, it leads to nothing here or hereafter.”

Paine continues, “Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and torturous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness, with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we called it the word of a demon, than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness, that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind; and, for my part, I sincerely detest it, as I detest everything that is cruel.” 

The Georgia Guidestones do not mention putting faith in the God of the Bible, but rather the God of human reason. Is it a coincidence that the capstone, which bears the specific message of following reason, was heavily damaged?

RC Christian and his sponsors left directions for what to do if the Guidestones were ever destroyed: “If our inscribed words are dimmed by the wear of the wind and sun and time, we ask that you will cut them deeper. If the stones should fall, or if they be scattered by the people of little understanding, we ask you to raise them up again…we invite our fellow human beings in all nations to reflect on our simple message. When these goals are someday sought by the generality of mankind, a rational world order can be achieved for all.”

As we consider the disturbing ideas of the carnal builders of this world, it’s imperative that Christians unite together in prayer under the banner of Jesus Christ. The stones of the Georgia Guidestones have fallen, reminding us of what is declared in Daniel, chapter two. “The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed or conquered. It will crush all these kingdoms into nothingness, and it will stand forever. That is the meaning of the rock cut from the mountain, though not by human hands, that crushed into pieces the statue of iron, bronze, clay, silver and gold.”  The message–Jesus is the ONLY ROCK who will stand forever!

Elberton, Georgia is responsible for about two thirds of all the granite headstones made in the United States. At the same time, the granite Georgia Guidestones of Elberton are etched with messages about population control –in other words, death. Thank goodness that those who are in Christ do not have to fear headstones or death because it has no claim over them (1 Corinthians 15:55-57).

Lord Jesus, we do not want an Age of Reason as described by the Georgia Guidestones. Instead, we ask for you to come to earth to set up your perfect kingdom! Until then, help us fight the forces of darkness that seek to use human power and reason instead of your precious blood to save this world.
