The Democratic research group American Bridge is preparing a $50 million campaign to win over a slice of President Donald Trump’s base, and new polling has convinced the organization that Trump is vulnerable on pocketbook issues, especially health care, among white working-class voters.
The battleground-state polling is a new step in American Bridge’s plans to target Trump voters in small towns and rural areas with ads linking local events to unpopular Trump policies. The group’s president, Bradley Beychok, is not aiming to win a majority of those people in 2020. But even making modest inroads with these voters compared to 2016 would be a huge boost to the party’s hopes of beating Trump next year. . . .
American Bridge polled voters in small towns and rural areas, screening out self-identified liberal Democrats, to find out what they thought of the president. The group gave Trump a positive job approval rating overall, and it backed a generic Republican for Congress by 29 points over a generic Democrat. But the Republican-leaning pool of voters also gave Trump unfavorable ratings on several key issues, highlighting potential avenues of attack for American Bridge: 50 percent rated Trump negatively on “cutting taxes for people like me.”
Several health care questions were worse for the president. Just 25 percent of respondents gave Trump a positive rating for “reducing health care costs,” compared to 67 percent who rated him negatively, while they split against Trump 39-51 on “taking on the drug and pharmaceutical companies.” (Excerpt from Politico.)
President Trump’s Administration just put into place a new executive order addressing healthcare costs. In his own words, “We believe the American people have a right to know the price of services before they go to visit the doctor. Therefore, in just a few moments, I will be signing a breakthrough executive order. It will create unprecedented transparency about healthcare prices and provide this information to the American people for the first time ever — first time it’s ever been done. People knew it should have been done years ago, but they never got it done. I wonder why.
With this order, hospitals will be required to publish prices that reflect what people actually pay for services in a way that’s clear, straightforward, and accessible to all. And you’ll be able to price it among many different potential providers, and you’ll get great pricing. Prices will come down by numbers that you won’t even believe. You won’t even believe it. More price transparency will mean more competition, and the cost of healthcare will go way, way down. . . . .
Today’s action is not just about lower prices. It’s also about helping Americans find excellent care. Currently, patients do not have adequate tools to find the doctors who would deliver better health outcomes at an affordable cost.”

Healthcare can not be monopolized to give fair and competitive pricing, but Health Insurance and it’s demands have made it so. You often have to jump through so many hoops to get a single medical service because THEY decide what is best for you and all the preliminary testing that you need. In some instances it would appear that healthcare is what runs the world. In education jobs for a teacher there is only only one mandatory insurance and price that goes with the job. No choices for differences of coverage or need and the cost that comes back to the “insured”. No matter that a drug for instance costs $2.00 in South America, it will probably be charged $300 here. The encroachment of the medical industrial complex also pays big bucks (from all we’ve paid in) to our state legislators via pHARMa donations or Big Education Association dollars. This collusion then sets the laws for us the people such as mandatory vaccines. Our choices for medical freedom are eroding every day. So now we have huge increasing vaccine mandates, under the dictates of Big Gov and rising costs for chronic disease which accompanies a hyped up vaccine schedule, which again will come back on us with increased premium prices. Merck is so excited about NY losing their vaccine exemptions that they are putting in a new whopping $48 Million plant to “help”. Also discovered was that this law was made by illegally changing the vote count. There is nothing that these corrupt people won’t do for money. What Trump is doing by requiring medical pricing to be public will transform the health care industry! What other service do we ever use without first knowing what it will cost? We usually get more than one quote before deciding who to use. Competition always benefits the consumer.
He asked, “How could no one have done this before?” I believe God reveals secrets and solutions to those who seek Him.
