Gavel of Justice
Our cry for justice has been heard. God himself has arisen with a shout (Psalm 47:5) The evidence of injustice has been overwhelming and grievous. Scripture says it and we have lived it. “When the righteous flourish, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan” (Proverbs 29:2 BSB). Groans of misery at the injustices before us have become a unified cry in the mouths of the intercessors. Our merciful God has stepped in, moving swiftly with a resounding gavel ringing through the halls of heaven.

A plethora of evil manifesting in all seven mountains of society brought desperation to the praying remnant. From the anguish of parents who watched their children walk away from childhood faith at the hands of a fully indoctrinated educational system to the shock of transgender LGBTQ brainwashing of our children; groans arose. Rage at criminal injustices from the back alley to the halls of government buildings has arose. Citizens look bewildered as perpetrators go free, while those who launder their pockets with under-the-table money, have continued to seemingly thrive, loading burdens of pain on the backs of working moms and dads. They have continued to work, pray, teach, and walk forward in hope while waking up daily to a society where injustice met them at every corner (Luke 18:7)
Over the last fifty years, where liberal agendas have been embraced and wokeism enshrined, there has been an awakening in the remnant church. Prayer movements and God fearing leaders have met with the Lord in the secret place and received the mandate to lift their voices, even though they have been alone and often ridiculed. As prayer rose, the remnant seeking truth and crying for the exposure of evil has multiplied. The prayer movement in our nation, birthed by Derek Prince and the courageous founding fathers of Intercessors for America, stood in the middle of an ever-growing spiritual battle for our children and our nation.
Now we stand in a historic moment of triumph where the first wave of reformation has hit the shores of our beloved country. The intercessors have mounted up in waves after waves of prayer; declaring scripture, crying out for justice, and letting the groans of misery rise in desperation. Those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits (Daniel 11:2). In a monumental movement of prayer, repentance, and fasting on a nation-wide scale, the tide has turned.
With Donald J. Trump’s victory at the polls, terrorists are yielding, the woke mob is rapidly shrinking, and leaders are scrambling to side with the right and the truth. Can a nation be saved in a day? (Isaiah 66:8). I submit to you that the unity of Holy Spirit-birthed intercession has brought in the gavel of the Lord, to intervene as it were, at the last moment. Our nation has been hanging in the balance, on the precipice of destruction on all fronts. Yet God in his faithfulness has been true to His word and His covenant. The bowls of prayer tipped and now the scales of justice are reeling back into balance.
While the shift has just taken place, there is hope, rising and rolling like a refreshing wind through the nation. As if we are coming out of our foxholes, on the spiritual battlefield of intercession, now is a time for praise and thanksgiving to abound. We have witnessed an amazing miracle of epic proportions. The electoral college and the popular vote both swung to Trump. Now there is a trifecta of righteousness shouting with the presidency, House and Senate all in the Republican camp. No, it is not about a political party, but a platform for righteousness to arise in the nation. For only righteousness exalts a nation (Proverbs 14:34), not political parties or platforms. Yet the political world is a platform where the spiritual battle has been fought and will continue to be fought. We find ourselves in a time period not unlike the pilgrim pioneers, who found themselves in a time of transition and needed sustenance. God sent the Native Americans to provide strategic knowledge for survival. Let us embrace our common goals of godliness, peace, and prosperity and reach across to embrace those camps where these tenants abide as a foundation.
We have only just begun. There is a historic mandate from across the nation for Godly reform. Now we must roll up our sleeves and get back to work in intercession, to see the will of God in our government structures, formed on earth as it is in heaven. Join us in this move of intercession over the next eight weeks as we prophetically declare and watch justice roll out like a river (Amos 5:24). The gavel of justice has sounded from heaven.

What an exciting article, Lisa Townsend! To think that our God has heard from heaven, forgiven our sins and is healing our land is so awesome! To watch this play out in my lifetime is miraculous! It is breathing life into all of us slowly, but surely! Many of my family and friends are diabolically opposed to what happened Nov. 5, but I believe that as we prayerfully build bridges and do not gloat the Lord is going to soften hearts so we can become a more united nation! I just want to throw my support into this new administration in every way that I can so God will be glorified. It is going to be a sight to behold! Thank You, Lord for your great undeserved mercy!
