On Saturday, speaking at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declared that “Islamist ideology” is the “greatest near and long-term threat to both our freedom and our security.”

“There is a threat to our freedom that hasn’t been talked about enough,” she began. “And it is the greatest near and long term threat to both our freedom and our security, and that is the threat of islamist ideology. It is propagated by people who not only do not believe in freedom, their fundamental ideology is antithetical to the foundation that we find in our Constitution and Bill of Rights, which is that our Creator endowed upon is inalienable rights — the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”
Gabbard noted that Charlie Kirk, prior to his death, had mentioned that threat often because he understood the gravity of the situation. Referencing the 9/11 terror attacks, Gabbard said they had proved just how far Islamists were willing to go.
“It is a political ideology that seeks to create a global caliphate that governs us here in America,” she continued, adding, “And if you fail to comply, if you fail to adhere to this ideology, if you dare to exercise your God-given right to free speech, censorship is not what we face. They will use violence or any means that they deem as necessary to silence us.”
Director Gabbard noted that, wherever Islamist ideology is implemented, freedom and liberty quickly ceased to exist. She pointed to Europe as an example, highlighting how Germany is now cancelling Christmas markets over Islamic threats.
The Director also claimed that Islamism is already spreading in America, citing how Muslim clerics in places like Dearborn, Michigan, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, are openly pushing the ideology and radicalizing young people. Sharia law, she said, “is not something that may possibly happen, it is already happening here within our borders.”

True, the world, the devil and the flesh is our greatest enemy. Love of the things in the world too. On a national note, Islamic ideology is a government that does not belong in our Judeo Christian America. Let us cry out in godly sorrow to the Almighty Who the increase of His government shall have no end. Again, on a very realistic view, God used Israel’s enemies to judge. America is close to judgment for her sins if the church does not cry out for an awakening inside and outside the church!!

Gabbard is right, I don’t know if Islam is the greatest threat but it is a threat. Islam is not compatible with our freedoms and our culture. Moslems come to America and they don’t assimilate into to America’s values, culture and our freedoms. Moslems want to hang onto their radical ideology and implement it in America and that can’t be allowed.
We must stop the influx of Moslems to America. We can’t ban Islam because we have freedom of religion in America but we must tamp down Islam in the public square as radical Islamists are using our freedoms against us to take over America.
Islam is NOT a religion – it is a “Way of Life” – and an exremist way of “Life” completely incompatible with niether Christianity nor any other “religion” around the world.
Islam is not entitled to “religious protection” for that very simple fact !
I keep photos of the leaders of the local mosque and Islamic foundation on my phone and weekly if not more often, I pray for them by name to be delivered from the powers of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God’s dear son Jesus.
I applaud Tulsi Gabbard for attending the Turning Point rally, and also for the comments that she made to the threat that Islamist ideology poses to American freedom. I pray, Lord Jesus, in Your mighty name, that all necessary action will be taken by our government to keep our freedoms in place, and totally free from Islamist threats, especially in the cities mentioned in the article. Lord Jesus, may Your will prevail regarding the evil Islamist threat. Thank You Jesus.

The greatest threat to our country is OUR FAILURE TO FOLLOW JESUS. Here we are celebrating a holiday as pagans with decorated trees, fat men in red suits, and giving each other presents we do not deserve. All of that has NOTHING to do with the birth of our Savior who laid down his life for us. He should be celebrated, worshiped and thanked profusely. He is the one who deserves the ‘presents’ yet all he wanted was for us to love him as he did us, believe on him and live for him. In return he offers us eternal life with him when this world and the mess it is pass away.
We struggle and despise Islam because they do not believe in Jesus but what about the country of Israel? They too do not believe in Jesus as the Messiah. I am not advocating we should be against Israel but I think we need to be very careful. Are we so involved to where we are letting their ways and thoughts become ours? To where Christianity will be done away with instead of us helping them finally come to the realization of and belief in Christ. I am wondering if the country of Israel is what God is speaking of in the bible when he speaks of protecting and loving Israel or is he calling “the Church” Israel and his chosen ones? After all he is calling people to himself.
Jesus was BORN from a Jewish woman . He was the awaited Messiah of ISRAEL. There wasn’t 1 single “Christian” yet when he was Born in Bethlehem Israel. All the GREAT people in the Bible you read were Jewish. Moses, Abraham, Paul, Matthew, Mark, John, King David ,King Solomon, Boaz. Jesus is called Son of David. Jesus’s Lineage is VERY important to God . he dedicates the VERY 1ST PAGE of the NEW Testament to showing the JEWISH lineage of Jesus. Which by the way is not his Biblical God given name. Yeshua, is His name. That’s the name his mother and father called him since that word translates to Salvation in Hebrew. Be very careful not to cut off your Jewish ROOTS, unless you want to be cut off! read Roman 9-11. The Abrahamic Covenant is still in effect. He blesses those who bless Abraham and curses those who curses Abraham and His seed known as Israel.
