We reported last week about an attempted breach of a Marine Corps base by Jordanian nationals. The two Jordanians attempted to drive a truck into Marine Corps Base Quantico, refusing to listen to the guards who attempted to redirect them. The two were eventually stopped, detained, and turned over to ICE. Reports indicate that at least one of the men was in the country illegally, and at least one of the men was on the terrorist watch list.

This incident was addressed and stopped quickly and efficiently, and it seems like nothing was harmed and the base remained undisturbed. However, an admiral with the U.S. Fleet Forces Command recently said that these events are happening with startling frequency.

In an appearance on Fox News, U.S. Fleet Forces Command Admiral Daryl Caudle recently said that these attempted penetrations are happening “two or three times a week.” Admiral Caudle also confirmed that the military is seeing “two or three drones” flying over military bases “per week.”
