I Prayed have prayed
Father, we thank for inspiring Florida's leaders to take action against those who would celebrate the killing of a husband and father. We ask You to convict and change the hearts of those who would mock Charlie Kirk's death.

Intercessor, you have probably seen the many disturbed individuals celebrating the tragic assassination of American patriot Charlie Kirk. In the face of this callousness and evil, Florida officials are vowing to discipline any teacher who celebrates this political murder.

Pray for your fellow intercessor.

From the Daily Wire:

Florida Commissioner of Education Anastasios Kamoutsas sent a memo to school superintendents saying that there would be consequences for employees who celebrate or mock the killing of Kirk, who was gunned down on Wednesday while holding an event at Utah Valley University.

“It has been brought to my attention that some Florida educators have posted despicable comments on social media regarding the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk. These few are not a reflection of the great, high-quality teachers who make up the vast majority of Florida’s educators,” he wrote in the memo. “Nevertheless, I will be conducting an investigation of every educator who engages in this vile, sanctionable behavior.”

“Although educators have First Amendment rights, these rights do not extend without limit into their professional duties,” he wrote in the memo. “An educator’s personal views that are made public may undermine the trust of the students and families that they serve.”

You can view Commissioner Kamoutsas’ memo below:

In a statement, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis thanked Commissioner Kamoutsas for bringing “accountability,” calling the celebration of Kirk’s murder “disturbing.”

This comes as many employers across the nation have been cracking down on similar sentiments. The Daily Wire notes that the University of Mississippi fired a staff member earlier this week over “hurtful, insensitive comments on social media regarding the tragic murder of Charlie Kirk.”

As many celebrate Kirk’s death, it can be easy to be overwhelmed by the darkness in America. As intercessors, however, we know that our God is the light that can cut through any darkness. Let’s ask him to change the hearts of those who would mock Kirk, and let’s pray for revival to sweep across America!

Father God Almighty, reach out with your Holy Spirit and touch the hearts of those so troubled in life that they should vent inappropriately over the death of a fellow citizen. These souls need to turn their sight and goals in the direction of righteousness
. Touch, mend, repair the damage done to them in Life that they be filled with light and life in the wonders of mercy and grace. Change their hearts O God, may they become as you designed them to be. Amen Amen in Jesus name.
