The FBI has uncovered a $250 million fraud scheme in Minnesota that exploited COVID funding for a children’s nutrition program. FBI Director Kash Patel called it “one of the worst” fraud schemes in the state’s history.

The FBI director told Fox News in a statement that 70 people in Minnesota have been indicted for their role in the sprawling “Feeding our Future” fraud scheme during the COVID-19 pandemic, which exploited a federal program designed to reimburse states for the cost of feeding children.
Conspirators falsely claimed to have served millions of meals during the pandemic, but instead used the money for personal gain. Of the individuals indicted, 38 have pleaded guilty, FBI officials told Fox News Digital. More than a dozen of the individuals are awaiting criminal trial, with the next trial beginning in August.

Conspirators charged in the scheme are accused of fabricating invoices, submitting fake attendance records, and falsely distributing thousands of meals from hundreds of so-called food distribution “sites” across the state — taking advantage of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s decision to waive, for the duration of the pandemic, many of its standard requirements for participation in the Federal Child Nutrition Program — including relaxing its requirement for non-school based distributors to participate in the program.
Fox notes that approximately 300 “food sites” in Minnesota served little or no food, serving instead as fronts used to launder money.
The FBI confirmed that investigations are going and more charges are expected. They also shared that the incident continues to impact Minnesota today and has already sparked legislative reform.
This is one of the most egregious examples of COVID fraud, but it is far from the only one. The pandemic saw rules and restrictions loosen, allowing for fraudsters like those in Minnesota to step in. Let’s pray that all COVID-era fraud is exposed, and that those who stole from taxpayers would be brought to justice!

I’m from MN and disgusted with these demonic democrat politicians who have caused so much evil in our state. Father, if these people do not repent and change their ways then deal with them severely. Do not these lawless politicians to go free with severe consequences being issued on their heads in Jesus name.
