Progressive billionaires are on the move, working to oppose President-Elect Trump even before he takes office.
Pray for your fellow intercessor.
The New York Times recently published an article titled “Nonprofits Vow a New Resistance. Will Donors Pay Up?” In this article, the Times describes the efforts of leftist billionaires and nonprofits to oppose Trump, both in the past and in the future. The Times mentions how these nonprofits hampered Trump’s plans in 2016, bogging down his agenda with countless lawsuits. From The Times,
In Donald J. Trump’s first term as president, some of his toughest opponents were not elected Democrats but left-leaning nonprofit groups. They bogged down his immigration and environmental policies with lawsuits and protests and were rewarded with a huge “Trump bump” in donations.
Now, some of those groups are promising to do it all over again.
“Trump’s gotta get past all of us,” Anthony D. Romero, the executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union, wrote on the nonprofit’s website the day after the election.
The article highlights one specific group, a coalition of powerful donors, that will meet next week:
Next week, an influential coalition of liberal donors will meet in Washington to prepare for the next round.
The coalition, called the Democracy Alliance, has steered hundreds of millions of dollars to PACs and nonprofits that form the pillars of the institutional left since 2005. In 2017, it published a “resistance map” for its donors that recommended an array of nonprofits and more traditional political groups, all focused on opposing Mr. Trump.
Among the scheduled speakers for the upcoming conference is an official with the National Immigration Project, a nonprofit that filed lawsuits challenging various aspects of the first Trump administration’s immigration policies.
Countless far-left donors will descend on D.C., aiming to find a way to use their deep pockets to trouble the President-Elect. This should alarm you, especially considering who’s in the group. Democracy Alliance, founded in 2005, was initially backed by some of the most notable far-left billionaires. Tim Gill, Peter B. Lewis, and George Soros all helped to launch the alliance.
Now, nearly 20 years later, this Soros backed organization is meeting in Washington to discuss plans to oppose our duly-elected President.
As this group and others meet, let’s pray that the Lord causes their plans to fail!

Father God I pray you would confuse and disrupt the plans of the enemy who seeks to undermine the Trump presidency. Lord do not let them disrupt the realignment of our government and our turn towards biblical values, freedom and prosperity. Let us once again be a shining city on a hill. Dear Lord, I believe You are God…none before You…none after…You are the Eternal One. I also believe You heard our prayers to ordain this victory we now celebrate but the battle continues. You hate hearts that plot wicked schemes and stir up trouble and You see this is exactly what many are doing. Soros and his minions are unable to deliver from Your Hand, they cannot reverse when You decree, so please continue to fight for us Lord. I pray You will shroud each meeting (attack) in confusion and shame and cause every plan to utterly fail. Let their plots and plans of evil dwell in parched places of the wilderness and in uninhabited salt land. Render these acts useless and unavailing. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
