Evangelicals are shifting on support for Israel. Will the Church, once Israel’s strongest supporter, turn away?

From CBN. Experts warn a significant drop in support for Israel among young U.S. evangelicals marks a potential turning point in the longstanding relationship between these allied groups.

Talk about issues like these on The Community.

A series of polls show support for Israel among American evangelicals under 30, fell more than 35% in just three years. …

Dr. Kirill Bumin, associate dean of Metropolitan College helped compile the three-year study.  …

Three surveys led by Bumin and Dr. Motti Inbari at UNC-Pembroke from 2018 to 2021, indicate this change came during a pivotal turn in Israel-Palestine relations.  …

As of 2021, roughly one-third of young evangelicals surveyed support Israel, compared to more than two-thirds in 2018. During that same period, support for Palestinians rose from 5% to 25%. Also, the number of respondents saying they support neither Israel nor Palestine doubled from 25% to 50%.

“What changed is this introduction of social media,” said Inbari. “Younger people now have a much more diverse opportunity to get information than the other generations in the past did not have.”

Another finding shows pastors are changing, including a drift in their support of Israel and how they interpret the Bible.

“And that change is from a more pro-Israel, pre-millennial dispensationalist position to one that really does not see much importance to the contemporary state of Israel or the Jewish people in the end times and the second coming of Jesus Christ,” Bumin explained. …

Dr. Yoav Fromer, head of The Center for the Study of the United States at Tel Aviv University emphasizes the importance of this study. …

He adds the future of the Jewish state depends on the next generation of U.S. evangelicals.

“I don’t know if my children will have a country to live in,” Fromer said. …

As we join in together in prayer, we Draw on God’s enabling might in a way that Multiplies our own efforts many times over. “ A psalm. For giving grateful praise.

1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; Psalm 100-
his faithfulness continues through all generations.“ Remember when the walls fell – Joshua 6-1-21 “You shall march around the city, all you men of war; you shall go all around the city once. This you shall do six days. 4 And seven priests shall bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark. But the seventh day you shall march around the city seven times, and the priests shall blow the trumpets. 5 It shall come to pass, when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when you hear the sound of the trumpet, that all the people shall shout with a great shout; then the wall of the city will fall down flat. ” This too shall come to pass if we remember to pray and shout it will shake the churches to not forget Israel and His chosen people to open their hearts to give and remember that Israel is Gods chosen. It too six days to get an answer, but the seventh was Gods number and Gold and silver went into the treasury of the Lords. God we pray for the generations to come to receive the Joy of giving and helping others. And get in touch with God’s perspective in their daily lives and the effect of loving our Lord enough to obey His commands and trust in His promises. 🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🇺🇸🇮🇱 ✝️

I see this trend in our own young sons..(middle aged “kids”. They have been attending churches that emphasize helping the downtrodden and they do help. A conversation with one the other day revealed his considerable concern about Isreael’s actions in Gaza. When I worked in the Biblical truth that God gave Israel (His land) to the Jews the conversation ended. I know he will think about it.

I see the lack of Biblical knowledge as one reason for the anti-Isarael feelings, with the main cause being the main stream press. It is a very powerful anti-God entity in our country, and world. We need to fervently pray for God to reveal ways to get around the censorship . I brought up my great concerns about censorship to our boys many months ago. They just don’t seem to see it….

I pray Pastors will see the light and teach the words from Derek Prince: Joel 3:1-2
When the Lord brings back the Jewish captives from all Nations to Judah and Jerusalem, those scattered among the Nations, more from 100 Nations in the last 50-60 years, are re-gathering to their homeland. V2 – He will judge those Nations according to how they treated the Jews. AND how they divided up HIS Land, the land of Israel. First and foremost, it is God’s land, and it belongs to the Jewish People because God gave it to them – an everlasting covenant. It doesn’t matter who is in it, God gave it to the Jews, and it belongs to them. Period. God is not restoring them because they deserve it, He’s restoring them for His Holy Name Sake.
AND: MT 25 – Jesus in His own earthly kingdom and on His own earthly throne (not one shared with the Father in heaven), He judges all the Nations – on how they treated His brothers, the brothers of Jesus. The Jewish people. Goat Nations who did not show mercy, God will say – Mt 25:41 “depart from me you cursed into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels”. These are some of the strongest words Jesus has every spoken. There are no more fearful words than those. Then v34, Then the King will say to those on His right hand, “come you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7cyLXiFoOc

Never turn your back on God’s chosen people that chose to follow God when no other peoples on earth would do so.
We must never deny Israel and the Jews. God never has denied them.
