I Prayed have prayed
Lord, give our nation's leaders understanding and courage to speak out about this violence. We thank You for these leader's courage and ask that You bless them.

Conservative evangelical supporters of President Donald Trump have condemned the violence that broke out at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday afternoon, describing it as “dangerous for our republic” and un-American.  . . .

While one of Trump’s largest blocks of support comes from his conservative evangelical base, many notable evangelical leaders who have engaged informally over the years with the Trump White House took to social media to voice their displeasure with the violence that occurred in the nation’s capital.  . . .

Here are the seven evangelical leaders who have condemned Wednesday’s violence in Washington, D.C. :

Paula White

. . .White, a Pentecostal pastor who heads New Destiny Christian Center in Apopka, was among those who spoke at the rally earlier in the morning near the White House.

“I always have and will denounce violence, lawlessness and anarchy in any and all forms,” she stressed.

“I have deep convictions for all people to have protection over the First Amendment and freedom of speech. We should be able to do this without becoming violent. I ask all to continue praying.”  . . .

Tony Perkins

. . .Perkins, who’s also a commissioner on the U.S. Commission for International Religious Freedom and is a Baptist pastor, called the violence “lawless actions” that are “wrong and dangerous for our republic.”

“Lawlessness is not the way, and such actions makes it difficult for law-abiding Americans to fight the good fight. Pray for our Republic!” Perkins wrote.

Ralph Reed

Similarly, fellow evangelical political activist Ralph Reed, who leads the Christian conservative grassroots organization Faith & Freedom Coalition, posted on Twitter that the violence is unacceptable.

“The violence at the U.S. Capitol is an assault on democracy and representative government,” he stressed. “Resort to mob violence has no place in the life of our nation, and I condemn and repudiate . . .

Jack Graham

Jack Graham, the senior pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, who has in the past attended events at the White House during the Trump administration, also took to his Twitter account to object to what he saw in Washington.

“Violence at our nation’s capital is to be condemned and law and order must prevail,” Graham wrote on Twitter. . . .

Greg Laurie

California evangelist Greg Laurie, the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship who has also attended events at the White House over the years, wrote on social media that he is “alarmed by the images” from the Capitol.

“Vibrant protest is American,” Laurie tweeted. “Violence & anarchy is not.”. . .

“Pray for peace on our streets, for protection & wisdom for our leaders,” he wrote.

Johnnie Moore and Samuel Rodriguez

In a joint statement shared with The Christian Post, evangelical figures the Revs. Johnnie Moore and Samuel Rodriguez stated that “there is no conceivable situation where what happened within the U.S. Capitol today is acceptable activity.” . . .

“Violent, anarchist behavior emanating from the far left or the far right is immoral and criminal,” the two stated in the joint statement. “It should be summarily condemned — beginning with the President of the United States — and its perpetrators ought to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” . . .

“We are relieved that both President-elect Biden and President Trump have now spoken directly to the issue telling protesters in D.C. to go home and calling for peace,” Moore and Rodriguez stated. “We call on all Americans — Democrat and Republican — to unite in prayer for our nation that righteousness and justice, love and faithfulness will guide the heart of our nation (Ps. 89:14).”

In the words of Leonard Ravenhill:
“Jesus said, “Go ye!” but He also said, “Tarry until!” Let any man shut himself up for a week with only bread and water, with no books except the Bible, with no visitor except the Holy Ghost, and I guarantee, my preacher brethren, that that man will either break up or break through and out. After that, like Paul, he will be known in hell!

John the Baptist was in God’s School of Silence, the wilderness, until the day of his showing forth. Who was better fitted for the task of stirring a torpid nation from its sensual slumber than this sun-scorched, fire-baptized, desert-bred prophet–sent of GOD with a face like the judgment morning? In his eyes was the light of GOD, in his voice was the authority of GOD, and in his soul was the passion of GOD! Who, I ask, could be greater than John? Truly “he did no miracle,” that is, he never raised a dead man; but he did far more–he raised a dead nation!”

Why are pastors calling for prayer for Joe Biden and not President Trump? Kinda revealing!

First of all, I have never heard of any one of these leaders. Is Jack Graham related to the Graham family? I do support Samaritan’s Purse with Franklin Graham. All I’ve ever read from Franklin Graham, who I believe is a Godly man and btw is the NUMBER ONE followed person on FB, is support for President Trump. Why did these uh-leaders not speak up and condemn all the riots and lies and corruption going on in our nation over the past several years!

Father God, let not the Christian community especially its leaders remain AWOL and woefully ignorant concerning the events that are unfolding! Open blinded eyes! Anoint our eyes with eye salve so we can see! Open our spiritual ears that we may hear Your voice and heart! Help us be in the God-side of what You’re doing! I BIND and REBUKE deception and confusion! In Jesus name AMEN!

I was there along with my husband, daughter and her husband; probably about a million people. I am amazed, disappointed, and greatly saddened that about 200 (.0002 % ) would get all the attention. What about the rest of us? The many, many more us us who spent our money, time, and energy to be there to sing, pray, and make our presence known. And it was really, really cold with a freezing wind. I certainly do not agree with the violence, but there is also evidence that many of the violent ones were really infiltrators who planned to cause violence while blaming the rest of us. We were there from 9:30 A.M to 4:30 P.M., Washington Memorial, the walk up to the Capitol, and on three sides of the Capitol. We saw no violence; in fact, we did not know that there was violence until we had almost reached our parking garage to leave when someone told us, almost 5:00 P.M. The last we heard before leaving the back of the Capitol was the crowd singing America the Beautiful. We had heard worship music and many prayers before that; including Chinese Americans who are very concerned with the Marxist agenda and the CCP trying to destroy America. I pray earnestly that God will bring truth and justice! I pray that each person who was there as we were will speak out and be heard. I pray for truth and exposure of lies and deception. The devil is a liar and the accuser. He comes in to kill, steal, and destroy. I pray that what the devil means for harm will backfire and God will bring good and truth.
Before Hilter invaded Poland he dressed German soldiers in Polish uniforms and had them attack German soldiers so that he would, falsely, have a reason to attack Poland. Pure evil! We are fighting a spiritual battle. I pray that the church will care more for truth, righteous, and justice, and that the pastors will be shepherds to the flock by protecting them from the wolves rather than allowing the wolves to deceive them. God help us and keep us for His glory and His name’s sake. I will not be silenced!

Thank you Delois. I saw film of five buses full of Antifa pulling up and the passengers being escorted by Capitol police inside. I also so capitol police guiding intruders upstairs. I also saw Antifa with MAGA hats flipped backward and heard that this was under instructions from an Antifa supervisor. I also saw Trump supporters protesting Antifa involvement and trying to hold them off of the police. Maybe these concerned pastors acknowledged that but I don’t see it in this article.

I was there as well from 6am to 4pm and absolutely no violence. It was inspiring day and planned infiltrators sought to disrupt and bring violence to achieve their ends.

Question for Pastors? Why did we not speak out against BLM, ANTIFA, or against the past four years of vicious attacks against President Trump? Why are you not rally around him now? Why are you speaking out against election fraud the attempted coup takeover of our nation? Why are you not standing up against government corruption?

Recommend all pastors fly to DC for another photo to pray over our great President Trump now. Where are you now?

This election is not over.

All seem to be missing the fact that it was a peaceful march accept for about 1% did all the damages led my infiltrators mostly. The whole leftist narrative is throwing out the baby with the bathwater and these leaders have jumped on the bandwagon and jumped to conclusions? Rightful to condemn the violence but as if all were guilty? Not cool.

Lord I pray for these Pastors that are speaking out against violence. I’m wondering where they were while our cities were burning last summer and our history was taken down. Why didn’t they speak then. I pray this is not to bring attention to them or be it any political move. Reading what they said saddened me. As a Christian I pray you bind us together in you Lord. Teach us to pray Jesus with the right motive, your will. Let us not judge but watch and pray. You have woken us. I pray we go and speak to those who are so angry, confused, and falling from you Lord. I am waiting to watch what you are going to do. You are in control. We need all truth!!!!!

    Sherry,

Totally agree! Pastors have revealed who they are and who they are for – – – themselves! They loved the photo ops laying hands on the President, but missing in action now! Speaks loudly!

    They need our prayers.

    See my post.

Thank you God for exposing the truth about Antifa as the source of the violence in DC from first-hand video captures. This violence and chaos is consistent with the terrible things Antifa has done and who they have been for 10 months as they destroy and defile cities everywhere. Antifa’s fingerprint is easily discernible down to the melody of the chants that they re-used at the Capitol as they entered the building. Antifa only wants to tear down our country and defile our monuments. Antifa destroys everything to create chaos, which we know is not Your nature, God. Antifa continues to reveal their true identity and their deep hatred for Your values, like hope and peace. God, You and Your angels create peace even in the midst of chaos and this is how we recognize Antifa’s identity. Antifa and their bosses defy You and Your values.

Patriots are lovers of this country and lovers of Your powerful principles which respect all created beings and which respect the sweet people of every race. Patriots would not destroy their own home or the land they love. Patriots don’t have a track record of violence and deception like Antifa and their bosses. Patriots protect and build up America and our establishments. Antifa and their bosses are at war with and tearing down the lives and land of God-revering, freedom-loving Americans.

God, give us wisdom and discernment to act, continue to reveal the truth about current events and help us easily see through the deception of Antifa and any organizations attempting to manipulate Your people through fear and chaos, provide us with strategy and tactics to recover from this time and restore Your peace and love for all people.

We are Your people, Father and we are doing Your work with Your best interests in mind and we are on Your assignments. As such we ask for the proper spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical tools to protect and grow Your values in our land and we ask for social, political, spiritual protections needed to do Your work, in the name of Jesus Christ.

I am utterly disgusted with the comments made by these Pastors/Evangelical Leaders! President Trump has done more for Christians and the Church than ANY President in our history! Those people who ‘stormed’ the Capitol were mainly people brought in by the leaders of the planned attempted coup of our President! And the Capitol Police, in MULTIPLE videos, opened the bike rack ‘gates’ and waved the demonstrators inside! Even directing them to Pelosi’s office! Well over 95% of the well over 1 million Pro Trump people gathered in DC were not even at the Capitol! They were at the main gathering grounds listening to speakers and praying for our Nation! This ‘violent demonstration’ was ALL PLANNED by the evil cabal who orchestrated the stolen election to embarrass the President, deflect attention from the fraudulent vote, and smear us, his supporters. These above listed Faith Leaders were ALWAYS quick to latch onto their ‘friendship’ with the President for 4 years! Why weren’t they some of the loudest voices fighting for his HONESTLY WON OVERWHELMING LANDSLIDE! Everyone knows the election was STOLEN from President Trump! And most know that the evil cabal behind this had plotted for years to try to destroy him and the nearly 88 million supporters of his! Yet, when HE NEEDED THEM, they were NO WHERE TO BE FOUND! The betrayal of this wonderful man and his family-who gave up everything they had spent their lives HONESTLY working for, is something WE THE PEOPLE WILL NEVER FORGET! Yes, violence is wrong, and it’s horribly sad that people lost their lives. But, it wasn’t President Trump’s fault! He NEVER incited any violence in his remarks to his supporters that day! I think these ‘Faith Leaders’ could have EASILY said what I just wrote! Instead, they, too, betrayed the man who has done the most for them! It sickens me to the core of my being! And I’d match MY FAITH AND RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AGAINST THEIRS ANY DAY! And by the way, let’s not forget Pence who showed his true colors also! He’s joined the ranks of the major betrayers of history!

It was a set-up to discredit the patriots/Trump supporters.

There are videos online of Antifa members agitating to crowd. They were responsible for the destruction inside the building.

The capitol police were there, taking “selfies” with people. Does this sound like people were being violent?

Certainly, we are all entitled to our opinions. But, when we sit in judgement on others we must first turn the mirror on ourselves. This characterization of the President is far from constructive. Nor is it instructive. Venom is the instrument of the devil, not that of Christ’s disciples.
If blood is on anyone’s hands, it’s on those who perpetrated this attack on “the people’s house”. Most enter their houses through its doors, not through shattered windows and breached fences! Clearly not over the bodies of others.
The violence must be condemned; the perpetrators should be held to account. However, blaming those who are standing on principle; advocating for truth, is a cowardly diversion of guilt.
We alone are responsible for our actions. We can blame no one else. Deferring to another is as old as Adam & Eve.
This has never been about a man. It’s about uncovering the truth! Jesus promised that the truth will set us free!
May His truth be revealed! May His will be done, whether we understand it, or not.

I heard Trump’s speech. There was no call for violence, there was no call for storming the Capital or anywhere else!! Anyone who says that Trump has EVER called for violence and insurrection is speaking an OPINION based on hatred of Trump.

If the assault on the Capital was indeed PLANNED and EXECUTED by Trump supporters as opposed to them simply getting sucked into a false flag operation, which I doubt, I remind you of what the excuse of the Media, BLM, and AntiFa have been ALL SUMMER LONG “Riots are the language of the UNHEARD. MLK”

There WAS rampant, EPIC voter fraud. Courts REFUSED to examine the EVIDENCE and instead dismissed ALL the cases on technicalities ! ALL. OF. THEM. That doesn’t justify the riot, but it does explain it. Our Founding Fathers did a lot worse in the wresting of this country out of the tyrannical hands of King George.

Fortunately for America, The God Show is about to start. He’s not too late to this post election party any more than Jesus was too late to Lazarus’s post healing party. It’s going to happen and to God be the GLORY, because this is not really about Donald Trump, it’s about God’s will on the Earth – which we intercessors prayed into manifestation !!!

So stop the hand wringing, stop the wailing and rending of garments, and for your own sakes – stop pointing fingers at believers. You all KNOW how He feels about that! Don’t even respond to those people, it’s not your job, it’s God’s.

God is about to shake the entire Earth with His AMAZING ability to defeat the kingdom of darkness and “He has turned back their own wickedness upon them and will destroy them by means of their own evil; the Lord our God will wipe them out.”

This is so much bigger than Donald Trump, it’s about the Swamp of corruption in our government, in our culture, in our country. God is about to do some major surgery so hang on, it’s going to be a bumpy ride with a whole lot of shaking going on.

This is what God spoke to me in 2012 after the election of Barack Obama.

Transgression [like an oracle] speaks to the wicked deep in his heart. There is no fear or dread of God before his eyes.
For he flatters and deceives himself in his own eyes that his iniquity will not be found out and be hated.
The words of his mouth are wrong and deceitful; he has ceased to be wise and to do good.
He plans wrongdoing on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not reject or despise evil.

Psalm 36 finishes with this
There the workers of iniquity fall and lie prostrate; they are THRUST DOWN and shall not be able to rise.

So this is not over. God did not fail. The enemy has not won. And most importantly, He has not forsaken or abandoned us – and He has NOT left His prophets twisting in the wind.

Believe. Stand. And when you have done all, STAND.

I want to thank everyone who is praying. The wicked people who did this are not part of the loving Christians there who were praying for everyone. They were Antifa, Black Lives Matter and radical anarchist. The images and the videos are showing this. I pray that God shows a lot more evidence of this fact very soon.
The trump supporters were never associated with “Black Lives Matter” or “antifa”. How then are those members shown to be fighting with the police and breaking into the capital building? I only saw signs and slogans like “Christians for Trump” and “MAGA”. I never ever saw “BLM for Trump” or “Antifa anarchists for Trump”. The fact that those members can be seen in all the images and videos attacking the police and the Capital building, means that some elaborate scheme to paint the peaceful organized rally as a destructive mob that is full of violence and disrespect for America. Christians and all the Trump supporters who were there have to be telling their story about what actually happened. We all need to pray for justice for everyone being falsely accused of that attack on our nation’s capital. Especially our president Donald J Trump and organization leaders.
God, we come to you and ask for you to expose the evil that was done and bring all who organized that attack to justice swiftly. God please vindicate the innocent and bring restoration and healing to our nation. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

First off none of these I trust and neither should the President. He has snake eggs all around him waiting to hatch. We are seeing them hatch even now. He needs to fire them and bring in Hank kunneman, Mario murillo, Kat Kerr, Mark taylor. People with the balls to stand up for him and to hear clearly hear the voice of the Lord. Not worrying about money or people’s influence like these are.

Thank you, Evangelical leaders, for your BOLD stand in telling us that “violence and anarchy” is criminal and immoral. Who would have thought? And now that you’ve educated us I feel much safer. Also I think it was wise to get your “ obligatory” apology out there right away so no one accuses you of condoning the riot…….Just wondering who your “target” audience was? Since the denunciation came right on the heels of the Trump rally I was concerned that they are going to be disproportionately blamed. Just a thought.

Dear Lord, I pray for these leaders and hundreds more to step up and support the truth of the peace that took place on Wednesday. There was overwhelming peace. Lord, just like the fraudulent election, there are many wicked people working to deceive. We boldly ask for You to throw them in shackles, Lord. We boldly ask You to stop the evil dead in it’s tracks. Lord, please raise up leaders who love You to speak out and have their voices heard throughout the land. We are a nation with millions of Christians pleading for Your return to our land. Lord, we love You and ask for Your forgiveness for all the times we didn’t speak up. Let those Christian leaders come out and talk about the hundreds of thousands who peacefully protested. Let the nation know the are being deceived by having an abundance of truth speakers share the truth. Lord, we thank you for all Your blessings 🙏

Well, of course we should denounce violence. We did that while the Democrat’s antifa were burning and looting cities. We should denounce their antifa minions who stormed the capital building as well. So telling how the Democrats denounce THIS violence (which they perpetrated), but just stood by while people’s businesses were being burned to the ground. The hypocrisy is so blatant that it is almost unbelievable. God sees all of this, though, and they will soon be held to account by Him. I still believe President Trump will be in the White House for the next 4 years. I’m not giving up on God.
