These emissions standards, according to many, are not sustainable. What do you think about the EPA’s new standards?

From The Epoch Times. The Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed emissions standards for automobiles and trucks are raising eyebrows in the auto industry and Washington alike.

“EPA’s proposed emissions plan is aggressive by any measure. By that I mean it sets automotive electrification goals in the next few years that are … very high,” John Bozzella, president and CEO of the automaker trade organization Alliance for Automotive Innovation, wrote in an April 12 blog post.

The federal standards would tightly restrict emissions from new vehicles. That will effectively force automakers to boost their sales of electric vehicles (EVs).

The agency’s proposal anticipates that under the new standards, two-thirds of new light-duty vehicles sold in the United States would be electric by the model year 2032. …

EVs made up less than 6 percent of total new vehicle sales in 2022. That’s an increased percentage relative to past years even as total new vehicle sales were down to 13.8 million units from 17.3 million in 2018. …

Not Enough Chargers

Bozzella added the 100,000 public, non-proprietary EV chargers in the United States are “not enough.”

An April 6 memo from the automotive alliance argued that electrification would take a “massive, 100-year change to the U.S. industrial base and the way Americans drive.”

Beyond the auto industry, other groups also voiced concerns. …

Republicans Object

Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill responded critically to the announcement, which comes days after new EPA coal plant standards and Biden vetoes aimed at furthering the president’s environmental agenda.

“The Environmental Protection Agency will make cars unaffordable by following California’s lead towards a complete ban on gas-powered vehicles,” said Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.), who chairs the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

California’s 2022 plan would outlaw gas-powered vehicle sales in the state by 2035. …

This is, along with selling off the sovereignty of the USA to the UN, is not new. A previous president wanted to do both.
In order to make electric vehicles, certain materials must be mined, at the cost of lives and killed earth using strip mining.
And, once the batteries go belly up, where do they go?
If anyone has watched the 1951 version of “The Day the Earth Stood Still”, this is the possible end game for our enemies, foreign and domestic, to bring America to a halt.
Father, to Your name be ALL the glory and fame. Cause every corruption, every thought, action and word against You and the USA to exposed and stopped. Loose Your angel armies to route the adversary and cause man’s prideful and haughty actions and words against You and the USA to be used to make them turn on themselves as You did for Israel. Bare Your righteous right arm and execute justice for us even as we confess that we have sinned against You and we repent. Yet, even so, save billions of people. Save Hunter Biden.

Father God, as we stand against what Satan would do in our country, may we not lose courage. This is complete foollishness, foisted on us by Satan to destroy us and what you want to do with our county. With the Psalmist, we pray you would awaken and come against our enemy! We praise your name because we are seeing you do just that and we give you thanks.

Lord, let not the wicked devises of the evil one be allowed to use the congress and in the executive branch to promote this rolling out of EV which most can’t afford at this time and the infrastructure is not set up to carry. I pray wisdom on all who are making these decisions. As you word says if anyone lacks wisdom to ask for it. I am interceding and asking on their behalf. IJN

These new emissions standards should only apply to registered democrats and green parties members. Registered Republicans should be exempt.
