“I went through a lot of stuff in college and it kind of stuck with me – John 13:7. ‘You may not know now, but later you will understand.'”

He often discusses his Christian faith on social media. In September, he posted a photo of himself on Instagram in an Eagles uniform, kneeling in prayer. Hurts wrote, “He Who Kneels Before God, Can Stand Before Any Man.”

What boldness Hurt has! I pray for the Lord to use him to bring others to Christ. I pray other players, coaches, fans will follow his lead. We need more people bold as he is about his faith. Our God is moving! With God all things are possible ♥️🙏🏻✝️Amen thank you Lord!!
Thank you Lord for your work in this young man’s life and thank you that he and the other young men in athletics that have grown in their faith to the time when they realize the importance of sharing the reason for their faith. Inspire more Lord as they encourage one another stir them to use the important platform they have as examples for young men growing up. All praise to you !
