After several weeks of pressure, the Justice Department announced a lawsuit against Maine over its defiance of the Trump administration’s Title IX rules preventing trans athletes from competing with women in schools. Will this lawsuit finally cause Maine to abandon the divisive and harmful trans ideology?
From Fox News. The U.S. Justice Department announced a lawsuit against the state of Maine for its continued defiance of President Donald Trump’s executive order to keep biological males out of girls’ and women’s sports and violations of Title IX.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the lawsuit at a press conference on Wednesday morning. It is the latest chapter in the battle between the state and the Trump administration after a federal judge paused a funding freeze that was initiated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Bondi was joined at the press conference by conservative activist Riley Gaines and fencer Stephanie Turner, who recently drew viral attention to the issue of trans inclusion in women’s fencing with a clip of her kneeling in protest of a trans opponent.
“The Department of Justice will not sit by when women are discriminated against in sports,” Bondi said at a press conference. “… What they have been through is horrific.” …
Bondi said they were seeking an injunction and have titles returned to the girls who “rightfully” won competitions in which trans athletes participated in. …
The administration has hammered the state with federal pressure to comply with the issue over the last seven weeks, launching multiple investigations into its educational institutions and even cutting funding from the USDA.
In response, the state has launched its own lawsuit against the administration over the recent USDA cuts and a federal judge has also ordered that the funding can not be frozen.
Republican opposition within the state has fought aggressively against Mills, the Democrat majority in the legislature and educational bodies that have firmly stood in support of trans inclusion. State Rep. Laurel Libby has been a central figure in this opposition, having drawn attention to the issue initially with a social media post identifying a trans athlete who won a girls’ pole vault competition in February. …
“Despite repeated warnings from President Trump, Governor Janet Mills and Maine Democrats have continued to discriminate against Maine women and girls, prioritizing their woke ideology over biological reality. As a result, the Department of Justice has no choice but to take action against the erasure of women and girls in sports,” Libby told Fox News Digital.
“Maine Democrats have doubled down on their far-left agenda and now our students and families stand poised to lose hundreds of millions in federal funding. Their radical gender ideology is endangering the continued existence of women’s sports and penalizing Maine students, against the will of Maine citizens.” …

Lord we pray for these athletes who feel that pushing through into the other gender’s competition is the only way to gain much needed attention and recognition for their efforts. Their hearts are hungry for acceptance and love. Show us as a community how to support them yet keep our women safe at the same time. We pray for peace in this journey. Open the eyes of their hearts to see that Jesus died for each and every one of these athletes, regardless of how they identify. Tear down false ideologies that place the interests of a few over the rights of the many. Guide our governing bodies with wisdom and compassion.
The insight I have in regards to the transgender culture; they should really not participate in men’s sports or women’s sports. The transgender should really compete against other transgenders if they want to exercise their right to be holding this position. Individuals who continue to be male and female, have their rightful created & normal place the way they were born.. Two genders, very simple.
A point to be made here excluding the external parts of a woman. Does a transgender have a uterus, fallopian tubes,, ovaries and a birth canal? If a transgender does not have any of these productive organs, they are truly not a woman and cannot and should not participate in women’s sports. Very simple.
Abba, we cry out to You for the young women being endangered, mocked, delegitimized, and robbed by the cowardly fraud of “transgender athletes” in Maine. May this lawsuit fail, and quickly. Please continue to raise up opposition to this demonic agenda, and bless those like Laurel Libby with a magnified and effective voice for reason. Rise up, body of Christ in Maine, and let your voices be heard!
Our daughters should not be exposed to trans athletes. There are but two, male and female, nothing else.
Please dear God, continue to protect PRESIDENT Trump, AG Bondi and the President’s administration as they diligently work to do your will to protect your sons and daughters in our beloved USA.
It is what it is God created Man Women not to compete but to live as Male and Female. As God created, let NO ONE change.
Thank you very much President Trump for faithfulness to women and sports. I am continually praying for you in the severe battle of transgender insanity. Please do not give our children over to this horrible ideology. It’s evil and it’s agenda belongs those who are emotionally ill.
Father, on this very day of Resurrection, may the transformation of the blood of Jesus, the new life that He gave, bring healing to the ones who are deceived, believing a lie and exchanged the truth how they were created. Bring Maine into compliance, may they protect all women. We pray these law suits that are being used to promote justice prevail. Change the hearts Lord, let them fully surrender to You!
Oh God our Heavenly Father, please overturn the tables on these wicked women in state governments who are harming other women by allowing “men” who think they are women to participate in any sport or events. Remove the wicked swiftly and put the fear of God into these evil gov’t servants and those judges who support this ideology. They mock You Father – deal with them severely and bring righteousness and holiness to America. I ask Lord that the prayers of your Intercessors will move the power of God suddenly. AMEN
