Recently, the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia (USAO-DC) opened a criminal investigation into Jerome Powell, chairman of the Federal Reserve, over the much higher-than-expected costs of renovating the central bank’s headquarters.

The investigation centers around the skyrocketing costs for the renovation of Federal Reserve headquarters, which greatly exceeded previous estimates of $2.5 billion. Powell confirmed the probe in a statement released Sunday.
“On Friday, the Department of Justice served the Federal Reserve with grand jury subpoenas, threatening a criminal indictment related to my testimony before the Senate Banking Committee last June,” Powell said in a statement. “That testimony concerned in part a multi-year project to renovate historic Federal Reserve office buildings.”
USAO-DC told the Daily Caller News Foundation that it does not comment on ongoing investigations.
Representative Anna Paulina Luna reportedly referred Powell to the DOJ in July. She cited testimony he gave before the Senate in June, accusing him of perjury. The Representative announced the move on X at the time, highlighting Powell’s “crazy $2.5BN building.”

President Trump also raised questions about the renovations during a tour last July of the Federal Reserve headquarters. The President presented Powell with documents showing the cost of renovations had ballooned to $3.1 billion, showing a cost overrun of roughly 25%.
This is yet another way in which the Trump administration is bringing truth and justice. Let’s ask the Lord to guide the DOJ as it investigates the federal reserve.

This may be a necessary intermediate step but I doubt it very much! I believe it is very superficial and the last thing we would need or want to do!
The issue at hand is to totally demolish the central banking system in all the nations starting with ours.
This system was begun in Europe over 400 years ago and replaced the decentralized system which maintained national sovereignty which is in each nation’s best interest because they then are only under their own national influence. Mr. Rothschild said quote “Give me a man’s wallet and I care not who makes the laws.”
We surrendered our national sovereignty to England and the Vatican when upon bankruptcy in 1881 as the collateral for a multi million dollar loan from them! In 1912 Congress illegally pasted the Federal Reserve act Christmas Eve without having a quorum. This resulted in a downhill slide making a way for the deep state to gradually take control of the U.S’s economy. Since then most of the nations have followed suit. Our nation needs to recover our original decentralized banking system patterned after our Republic’s beginning based on rule of law and our US Constitution.

So why spend so much on their pride and looks when the issue is not a new building but the total neutralization of the elites control over us and recovering our original decentralized banking system patterned after our Republic’s beginning based on rule of law and our US Constitution.
I pray for exposure of the Fed as it is neither Federal (It is run by a group of Bankers) and there are no reserves to be seen anywhere. The whole thing is corrupt and needs to be dismantled. Just one more honey hole of the deep state.
It’s not the renovations at issue; he was on the retribution list for doing his professional job and not bowing to pressure from the President.
Powell is not doing his job! His job is to take care of the Federal Reserve, not become a project supervisor overrunning our tax dollars by trying to build himself an over-expensive castle. FATHER GOD please remove Powell immediately from his job and bring this over-expensive building project to a quick halt in JESUS NAME.
How massive is that buidling and t kind of renovations are they doing that are using up billions of tax dollars, Of course you could expect Pres Trump, who has been a builder the greater portion of his life, to notice these BILLION DOLLAR cost over runs. Why this doesn’t concern you, I can’t understand, but I dont want tax dollars spent that way
Neither do I and most Americans. Our taxes are spent every where but with Americans.
God please help the DOJ with this investigation. Give them your truth and wisdom as a guide.

Lord, take the blinders off the people in charge of this unnecessary expense! There are people starving and in need of shelter all around us! The money should be used to feed and shelter them!

The cost to renovate ballooned to 3.1 Billion!!! That is totally absurd and unacceptable! Again, government fraud and huge waste of taxpayers dollars uncovered! Thank God the Federal Reserve to be held accountable. Those dollars should have been spent on meeting the needs of the poor in America and overseas. How could Powell in good conscience allow it to continue!!!
It appears that the Fed Reserve chairman has gone quite overboard in his “renovation” project. First of all, does this renovation really need to be done, and why the staggering amount of money to do so? I hope that this investigation proves to answer the questions. Thank You Jesus, and may Your will prevail in this situation.
Father, You are the One who knows the whole truth of all of this: why the investigation; why the cost overruns; and whether there is any guilt on the part of anyone in this matter. Please provide the people of this country the whole truth. Thank you. Amen.
While I am grateful for more oversight in the use of taxpayer dollars, this seems like political retaliation. I pray that conservative do not lower themselves to using the devises of the enemy. Cost overruns, especially during times of massive inflation are typical. Are we really going to become like that which we hate?
How is going from the original cost projections to 3.1 Billion + “is Powell doing his job. He is not the arbiter of our tax dollars. He is like Nebechennezzar trying to build himself a castle. FATHER GOD please remove him from that position immediately and let one be appointed to bring this project to a halt in JESUS NAME. Amen.
why does it matter if Jerome Powell does his job righteously or not? well, I suppose it doesn’t, if you don’t care what inflation, mortage rates, etc are. Seriously, if renovating the Fed required billions of dollars, they should have just scrapped it for another site. BILLIONS.
