With many events cancelled and social distancing guidelines in place to stop the spread of the coronavirus, top democrats are signaling that more than likely the Democratic National Convention will be cancelled ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Fox News is reporting.

“I’m not sure we’re going to have a convention,” Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Mo., a top ally of former Vice President Joe Biden, told Fox News.
Cleaver added, “I think both parties are very likely, I hope, to agree on postponing the convention or doing something that won’t bring thousands of people together to kill each other ultimately with COVID-19.”. . .
“I think the DNC and the RNC both have to evaluate all of their options,” Rep. Debbie Dingell, D-Mich., told Fox News. “But we need to pray that we get through this quickly, but we also need to very carefully consider any large gatherings for the next year.”
The convention is set for July 13-16 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ahead of the event, the Convention has put out several statements indicating that they are monitoring the situation closely and will make decision to ensure “health, safety, and well-being” of attendees.

Lord Thy will be done in regards to the DNC Convention. I pray for your healing balm over America and her people. I pray that the Covid-19 virus would be rendered powerless and you would forgive our sins and heal our land. May we glorify you in words, actions, repentance and turning from our wicked ways. In Jesus name I asked and pray. Amen
Perhaps Lord that if the DNC is going to cancel their convention, it will cause them to reassess the elements of their political platform that have been an affront to You for decades. We ask that you would bring revelation to those making platform decisions and the things that are cause for your displeasure…. that they would find the strength to change course so that the things they decide are pleasing to you Lord and better for all the people of this nation. Amen
LORD, we pray in the name of Jesus that You will keep our nation’s government processes stable and not allow Satan to inject confusion,chaos, anarchy, etc. into them using the circumstances surrounding this epidemic or any other devices. Amen.
