Authorities say that a suspect (14-year-old Colt Gray) is in custody.

At around 10:30 a.m., “officers from multiple law enforcement agencies and Fire/EMS personnel were dispatched to the high school in reference to a reported active shooting,” the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said. “Casualties have been reported, however details on the number or their conditions is not available at this time,” the statement added. …

Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith told a news conference at around 1 p.m. ET that officials are investigating the shooting but cautioned that details about the incident “is very fluid” and might not be forthcoming.

“Please let us get the facts that we need to make sure we get this right,” he told a news conference, asking the media for ”their patience.“  ”This is going to take multiple days for us to get answers as to what happened and why this happened.” …

WSB-TV helicopter footage taken at the scene showed throngs of students, staff, and parents gathered outside the school in the football stadium. Numerous law enforcement and emergency vehicles were seen on campus, the footage shows.

“I have directed all available state resources to respond to the incident at Apalachee High School and urge all Georgians to join my family in praying for the safety of those in our classrooms, both in Barrow County and across the state,” Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said in a statement Wednesday. …

The FBI’s Atlanta office also wrote on social media: “FBI Atlanta is aware of the current situation at Apalachee High School in Barrow County. Our agents are on scene coordinating with and supporting local law enforcement.”

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said in a Facebook post that a suspect is in custody. …

Most of the school shooters are young men. Let’s pray for America’s young men.

Father we lift up the young men of our nation to You for no matter their race, creed, color, family origin, life experiences or socioeconomic background, they need You.

For those who have no hope, help them to understand that there is a glorious hope they can have in Christ Jesus.

For those who feel unloved, let them know that you love them enough to have sent Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to die for them that they may have a relationship with You.

For those who have no father, or an absent father, help them to know that You are a Father to the fatherless and You will always be there for them.

For those who feel rejected and like no one cares, help them to know that if they come to you through Christ You will accept them in the Beloved.

For those who are bound by addictions and destructive habits, help them to know there is power in the Name of Jesus to break every chain in their lives and set them free.

For those who are angry and full of rage, help them to understand that under it all they are really hurting and brokenhearted and Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted.

For those who have suffered wrong and whose hearts are full of revenge, help them to know that You are the Righteous Judge and vengeance belongs to You, not to them.

Father, stem the tide of bloodshed in our nation, for even as Abel’s blood cried out from the ground, the blood of our young men is crying out from the ground.

Restore unto our young men the value and sanctity of life. Cause them to know that You and You alone give life and they do not have a right to just take it away.

Open the eyes of our young men and help them to see that there are better ways to resolve issues than violence and murder.

Draw them unto You by the power of Your Holy Spirit and break up the hardness in their hearts.

Father help them to know and understand that in spite of the poor examples many of us who name Your Name have set, it does not change the fact that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and they need Him.

Father forgive us, Your people, for the many ways we have brought reproach to Your Name and become a stumbling block in their eyes.

Cause us to see ourselves as we truly are and to humble ourselves and pray and seek Your face.

Help us to sincerely repent of our sins and turn from our wicked ways, the ways that we know are displeasing to You and that violate the principles of Your Word for then You shall hear from heaven and heal our land.

Father, the enemy has come in, but like a flood, we ask You to raise up a standard against him like only You can. Have mercy upon us, O God, and touch the young men of our nation. We ask and pray these things in Jesus’ Name. AMEN.

Evidence shows that there is a connection in the glyphosate residue in food to the outbreaks of present- day violence and school shootings. It has become a global threat to our environment and health. It’s an herbicide (roundup) that can be gotten from the air, in rainwater food, grains, drugs, vaccines, tampons, beans, soy, and causing many nutrient deficiencies, causes gluten intolerance, B vit deficiencies, accumulates in the tissue, and interferes in the bodies’ ability to form nutrients from precursors, destroys enzymes, decreases serotonin in the gut causing depression and violent behavior. Prisoners that once ate a lot of junk food, that is high in glyphosate who changed their diet to whole foods and organic, began to turn away from crime and went on to lead a normal life. Kids who once threatened to blow up schools settled down with a change to good behavior when changing to whole foods and organic foods. The number of school dropouts began to diminish as well with a change in diet. Glyphosate also causes sulfur deficiency and is the absolute cause of autism in children, causing many gut problems in them. The safest practice is to eat all organic as much as possible. The father of the Georgia shooter did drop out of school in the eleventh grade which is interesting. The book ” Toxic Legacy ” by Dr. Stephanie Seneff, put out in 2021 is a must read and very informative. Prayers to all involved in this tragedy.

Father, we pray for repentance in our nation for our leaving you, worshipping other things than you, ignoring your Word and walking our own way. Thank you for revival that is happening and people coming to the realization of their lost state and being found by you! Thank you. We ask that you would continue this revival and bring many to yourself that we as a nation may honor you and again be a vessel to send forth your gospel.

Many prayers for all heartbroken in Winder, GA – as well as those healing from physical injuries. May the surviving culprit reveal anyone who prompted his rampage. Our children’s 70+ doses of neuro-toxic shots and subsequent aggression-boosting psych drugs seem to also be highly suspect in these mass tragedies. I am additionally saddened
by the many professing Christians who encourage gun use for killing offenders – thoroughly ignoring Christ’s warning that those who live by the sword will die by it. We are to love even our enemies as ourselves, desiring to preserve their lives for hope of redemption. Praying for more souls to find the narrow Jesus way – as well as wisdom for our heavily lobbied legislators!

Heavenly Father, Only You can bring comfort to the heartbroken families whose loved ones lost their lives as they became innocent victims of this senseless and horrific attack by one of their own. The enemy came in like a flood, please raise up a standard against this evil pandemic. Comfort them, comfort them as we do our part to intercede for their healing.

This is an attempt by the enemy to stop the move of God that’s starting among our students. He’s trying to bring fear and intimidation to steal faith and we can’t stand by and watch it happen! Yes prayers for protection, comfort and healing, but also bold prayers to bind the fear and intimidation. Prayers to break the curses and trauma being spoken over them (like this will affect them the rest of their lives) and to loose the testimony of Joseph (cause them to forget) over them. Prayers to bless these students with increased faith in the trial. Prayers to push back the heaviness and loose boldness and peace to witness to their classmates. Prayers that this not be like every other shooting but will an open door for revival.

Ron, you raise a good point. The blame for these horrible events seems to never land on the right spot. Guns are almost always the first target while the root causes are ignored. Mental illness, often treatable, is certainly an issue. Government institutions and leaders, usually godless, are a big part of the problem; but I would say most churches are not well equipped to minister to the mentally ill either. I recommend reading Troubled Minds by Amy Simpson as a very good introduction to the topic of mental illness. We have special parking and ramps for the physically disabled but there are few good “ramps” to bring inclusion to our fellowships for the mentally ill. Both the church and government can do better.

Well, the kids’ 70+ doses of neuro-toxic shots and subsequent aggression-boosting psych drugs seem to have our government’s stamp of approval – and churches seldom openly oppose them.

your prayer is very well done and included not only victims but the perpetrators also.
In fact I feel that perpetrators may need prayer even more than victims. . Can we even imagine the hell in the lives perpetrators silently go through and is enough to cause them to even consider, let alone act with such violence..
Lord forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. .

Mental illness is treatable, so why hasn’t mental illness institutions taken the lead to end the murders? Why do our community leaders continue to blame the weapons involved and not the underlying causes? At what point do the institutions and community leaders become complicit?

It’s actually both – easy access to high powered guns for neurologically damaged males (by our corrupt medical system) – deadly combination. Pray for wisdom and truth to prevail!

Military grade weapons are unusually lethal. Definitely not of the likes the Founding Fathers hunted with or used at the time the Constitution was written…

Guns should not be an idol. Our 2nd Amendment rights should be protected but our right to life, our children’s right to life – demands that we examine this issue more closely with God’s guidance.

Dear Lord,
If a law could fix this, it already would be done.
Only Your almighty power can fix this. Please help us all to spread Your word and help those who have been deafened to it, to hear Your word now and forever. And again bring this nation together under You. Thank You God. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

I also pray for the LORD, not Democrats and the Gun Control lobby – nor Republicans and the NRA lobby…

To direct our leaders – including faith leaders – as to what forms of gun legislation would curb the physical devastation of these evil acts? The lethal power of deeply broken individuals? Products of our deeply broken culture?

Constitutionally: is easy access for all & AR-15 style weapons in the hands of our most troubled youth, what our founders had in mind when crafting the 2nd Amendment?

And above all, Biblically: what regulation, if any, should there be so that the rights of individuals and families for self-protection not he trampled, yet government properly mitigates the destructive capacity of modern day firearms in the hands of the wrong people?

LORD, we cry out to You for the lives lost to gun violence – and the residual waves and ripples of grief left in their wake.

I also pray for coverage and solutions for the acts of violence that are NOT regularly covered by our agenda-ridden media. Ignored by the Democrat Party. Namely the shootings taking place regularly in segments of places like Chicago. Or the violence at our border.

Every human life is precious to God. LORD, we speak life over America. In Jesus’ name.

We cannot expect any more in a culture that insists on living by the sword and hating enemies in direct opposition to what Christ taught. Praying for revival in America’s Church so that a truly Great Awakening can happen in the hearts of lost souls.
