Lord, we come against antisemitism in America, especially in the GOP. We ask You to show people like Tucker Carlson just how precious Israel is in Your eyes.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, accused political commentator Tucker Carlson of hating him for being a Christian and warned that his influence threatens to plunge the Republican Party into antisemitism.

“In the last year-and-a-half, I have seen more antisemitism on the right than at any point in my life, and it is dangerous, and it risks consuming our party,” Cruz said during a Wednesday interview with David Brody of the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN). “I don’t want us to make the same mistake Democrat leaders made a decade ago of just to look the other way and to be silent.”

Cruz, who earlier this week called Carlson the “single most dangerous demagogue” in the United States, told CBN that while the former Fox News host “is the most vocal proponent” of antisemitism on the political right, he is just one voice amid a chorus of influencers he claimed are having an outsize role in leading young Evangelicals away from supporting Israel.

“The target of this operation is you and me. It is Evangelical Christians,” Cruz told Brody. “Tucker Carlson has said there is nobody he hates more on planet Earth than Christian Zionists, and he names specifically me and Mike Huckabee.”

Cruz was presumably referring to comments Carlson made during his controversial interview with far-right podcaster Nick Fuentes last fall, when he said he dislikes Christian Zionists “more than anybody” while labeling their beliefs about Israel “heresy” and a “brain virus.”

Carlson’s interview with Fuentes, who has espoused openly antisemitic, misogynist and white supremacist views, prompted an uproar among conservatives and mass resignations from The Heritage Foundation, where Carlson started his career.

Carlson later apologized for his statement, saying it was “something that I really regret saying that I didn’t fully mean” that was made in the context of his opposition to the neoconservative, interventionist foreign policy he once supported, but which he realized was mistaken amid the consequences of the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003.

“I think it’s unfortunate that I am the person he says he hates most on Earth,” Cruz told CBN. “Now, why does he hate me? He hates me, number one, because I’m a Christian, and that is my faith, and I’m not going to run away from it or apologize for it. But he hates me, number two, because I’m a Zionist.”

Cruz went on to define Zionism as someone who believes “the nation of Israel should exist,” and then accused Carlson of wanting to see Israel abolished.

“The people who denounce Zionists want to see Israel driven into the sea,” Cruz said. “There are 50 Muslim nations in the world. There’s one Jewish nation. I don’t think it’s unreasonable for the Jews to have one homeland when there were 50 Muslim nations.”

“I don’t think it’s unreasonable for the Muslims to have homelands as well, but the Tuckers of the world argue, instead of 50 Muslim nations, there should be 51, and they should remove the Jews from Israel, because they have no right to have a nation,” he added.

Carlson, who has never said he doesn’t want Israel to exist but has questioned Israeli influence over U.S. foreign policy, has called Cruz a “dumbo” and drawn the lingering ire of the Texas senator since tussling with him last summer over whether the land promises of Genesis apply to the modern nation-state.

During his tense interview with Carlson last June, Cruz based his support for modern Israel on God’s promise to Abram in Genesis 12, though he drew pushback from Carlson when he was unable to cite where in the Bible the passage was or what the population of Iran is, despite his support for going to war there.

In response to a similarly contentious interview that Carlson had with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee last month, Cruz gloated on social media when Carlson was unsure of the Christian population of Qatar when Huckabee asked him about it.

“What?!? Tucker doesn’t know the Christian population in Qatar??? How can he possibly have an opinion about them?” Cruz wrote on X, where he posts prolifically about Carlson.

Carlson, who said he personally appealed to President Donald Trump against intervening in Iran, has since called the Iran war “disgusting and evil,” which prompted rebuke from Trump last week, who claimed, “Tucker has lost his way” and is “not MAGA,” according to ABC News.

Holy Father,
Close the mouth of the dragon.
Give to Ted Cruz Holy Spirit knowledge, and not just to Senator Cruz, but any of us, your children, when we have to speak about You, Israel and our nation.
Put your Words in our mouths. Make us bold as the first followers of the Lord were.
Amen

Father, I pray for Israel. They are surrounded by enemies who want to destroy them. Since they became a country, they have given up much of their land to keep the peace. But they are attacked on every side and now accused of all the evil in the world! Protect your people, Father; you have not disowned them. Bring them to Jesus as their Messiah. Praise you for your love and care.

Antisemitism is very real. And the spirit of it has existed since before the 1948 creation of the modern state of Israel. Martin Luther was a vehement anti-Semite, writing books like “On the Jews and their Lies.” And it’s not surprise that the Holocaust took place centuries later in his own native Germany.

The problem is when under the guise of “defending Israel” – worldly bloodlust & tribalism cloud the judgment of Christians, making them no different from the jihadist enemies they so claim to want to see defeated.

“My kingdom is not of this world…” said Jesus.

Jesus also said that HE was the fulfillment of the Law AND the Prophets for a reason.

So putting any other allegiance – be it to prophecy, be it to any entity other than the person of Jesus Christ amounts to idolatry.

The end of history is the triumph of Jesus Christ and the triumph of His bride, the church. The marriage supper of the Lamb. And both Jews & Gentiles will share in the feast of that triumph by way of faith in Him alone.

I support Israel as the Israel of the Bible, but it not out of bloodlust & tribalism; it is out of feeling that the Bible is true. The Old Testament prophecies still hold to Israel. I’m sorry you think badly of those who support Israel. They are not perfect but one day, they will acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah. Even now, he is doing a mighty work among them.

I don’t think badly of people who “support” Israel, I think badly of people who IDOLIZE it. Who use prophecy as an excuse to completely trump basic Christian principles: like seeing ALL people as image bearers of God, seeing EVERY nation as a mission field, and putting Jesus – the prince of Peace -as crushing all divides between Gentile and Jew, slave and free, male and female, for we are all one in CHRIST.

I think we need to revisit who initiated the bloodshed and heinous crimes originally led by Hamas, which was under a cease fire agreement. None of which any Muslim nation denounced. Hamas is a proxy of Iran, the leading terrorist sponsor. Iran also took American hostages and American Service Member’s lives which they initiated. Putting this on Israel is absurd and inaccurate. The Bible is clear on God’s position of Israel from the beginning of this nation, which He brought forward and including through the book of Revelation. Maybe Tucker could interview Hamas, Houthis, Hezbollah, IRCG, etc. and ask them why the taking of innocent lives and the degrading of human beings is something they are so comfortable with? Which one of the Arab nations would like to divide their land and live surrounded by terrorists? Why so many blind eyes all the while profits and weapons so comfortably came in even from China and Russia??? I stand in support of Israel and I pray for the salvation of all who would turn their eyes to the LORD for forgiveness and receive Christ as their Savior.

Agree, Nicole – Jesus is the Prince of Peace! Tax funds for protective domes, not destructive weapons are approved by Him. Antisemitism is such an abused term – as most of the Muslim nations are also Shem descendants. Many current occupants of Israel are not ethnic or religious Jews. They fund abortion on demand and gay agendas, among other anti-Christ evils. True believers pray for all humanity to receive Yeshua Hamashiach, their only eternal hope!

Thank you, Lord, for courageous men such as Sen. Ted Cruz, and journalist David Brody of the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), who boldly stand up against ungodly anti-semitism in our nation.

Thank you for President Trump, Sec’y Pete Hegseth, and our fearless American Military for defending Israel, the Apple of Your Eye, Lord.

You promised Father Abraham, “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you.” (Genesis 12:3.)

Thank you, Heavenly Father. Please continue to bless these men who serve You well. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, amen!

I think Donald Trump has lost his way abs is no longer MAGA. I don’t think paying 1 billion per day in tax prayer funds is MAGA. This is all very disappointing.

Tucker is a christian. Why would he hate a christian? It doesn’t make sense. We shouldn’t be calling people antisemitic just because they divvy agree with everything Israel does. A person can support Israel and not support genocide.

You are so mistaken! Carlson is the one who has lost his way. He does not support Christian teaching and is apostate. I believe he does not know what he believes but thinks an ‘occasional’ laugh will make it all right! As for the cost of ‘War’ you may as well forget it! War is costly in money, and most of all with lives. However, doing nothing in the current situation would be unforgivable. Trump is doing what is best for our Nation and its people. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the USA. ” Stand strong and do not be moved! Never give up, NEVER”
