I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we need peace and safety in our nation. Protect us from crime, and restore law and order on our streets.

The media claims that crime is going down, but Americans feel that the streets are becoming less safe. What’s behind this disconnect?

From The Wall Street Journal. Americans think crime is on the rise, but the media keep telling them they’re wrong. A Gallup survey last year found that 92% of Republicans and 58% of Democrats thought crime was increasing. A February Rasmussen Reports survey found that 61% of likely voters say violent crime in the U.S. is getting worse, while only 13% think it’s getting better. …

Americans aren’t mistaken. News reports fail to take into account that many victims aren’t reporting crimes to the police, especially since the pandemic.

The U.S. has two measures of crime. The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Uniform Crime Reporting program counts the number of crimes reported to police every year. The Bureau of Justice Statistics, in its National Crime Victimization Survey, asks some 240,000 people a year whether they have been victims of a crime. The two measures have diverged since 2020: The FBI has been reporting less crime, while more people say they have been victims.

The divergence is due to several reasons. In 2022, 31% of police departments nationwide, including Los Angeles and New York, didn’t report crime data to the FBI. …

Another reason crimes reported to the police are falling is that arrest rates are plummeting. If victims don’t believe criminals will be caught and punished, they won’t bother reporting them. According to the FBI, if you take the five years preceding Covid-19 (2015-19) and compare them with 2022, the percentage of violent crimes in all cities resulting in an arrest fell from 44% to 35%. Among cities with more than one million people (where violent crime disproportionately occurs), arrest rates over the same period plunged from 44% to 20%. …

A recent Rasmussen Reports survey found that not everyone sees violent crime on the rise. Less than half of likely voters who earn more than $200,000 a year think it is getting worse. Yet a majority of all other income groups disagree. People of both sexes and every race also think crime is getting worse.

It isn’t surprising that affluent people can insulate themselves from spikes in crime — but that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. Americans aren’t simply imagining that our streets have become more dangerous.

Lord the spirit of disobedience & disorder has come up into all areas of this nation.
Lord we plead the Blood of the Lamb to come and cover all the people who are dealing with this problem.
Private citizens & law enforcement come together & make communities safe!
Amen

With all that is going on in our country, with Mike Johnson siding with the democrats, why are we quoting the lying media about them trying to gaslight us when everyone knows crime is up? We still have lots to pray about: the rising crime we see and know; the homeless situation in America; illegals being given our tax dollars so they can vote to keep the worst administration in the history of the USA in power; city’s resources being taken away from citizens; Americans losing homes as jobs are being given to illegals; Americans not being able to pay their utilities and other bills as interest rates are steadily rising; money bogusly sent to Ukraine steadily that the people of Ukraine say they never see; the fake politically motivated indictments on President Trump; child trafficking at an all time high; and on and on and on! Many things to lift up besides what the lying media says! Listen to this, yet another item for prayer: https://youtu.be/RUBnE9dTQ7M?si=E8W1s6IyWJ1NFjcH FATHER GOD, YOU know all of the things that I wrote to pray about in America plus a lot more! I lift it all up to YOU and ask that YOU send YOUR warring Angels to fight all of these battles because we have no might against the enemy causing this chaos! Please help us receive Victory quickly in JESUS NAME! Please remove all enemies of YOU and us from office immediately and give us YOUR Peace in JESUS MIGHTY NAME! Amen!

Heavenly Father, hear the prayers I pray for all those in authority. As You have ordained these powers so that we might live quiet, peaceable, and Godly lives in this present age, prosper them in their blessed vocation as American’s Peace Officers. As they protect, protect them, O Lord, from all harm and danger. Keep them safe in their work. Give them success in preserving the life and property that You have so graciously given to us. May they find joy in performing the service You have given them to do. May they be ever mindful of Your presence with them, even in their darkest hour. Comfort their loved ones who share them with us and who weep when they weep. When they are weak, give them strength. When they are afraid, give them courage. When they are in doubt, grant them wisdom from above. When they have sinned, grant them repentance and true faith in Christ Jesus, who made the ultimate sacrifice in order to save us all from sin and eternal death. Grant them the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ. In His mighty and holy Name, and by His authority, I pray. Amen.
