I Prayed have prayed
God, we pray for justice for all those who were threatened or coerced into taking the COVID shot, or punished for refusing to do so. As COVID cases continue around the country, we ask that Your hand would be on every one and that Your will would be done.

In 2024, years after the pandemic began and officially ended, we are still seeing cases related to the COVID shot wrap up around the nation. In some instance, judges are delivering critical wins, affirming constitutional rights. In other cases, judges are siding with the government that punished those who doubted COVID and its vaccine.

From Stars and Stripes. Navy sailors who faced disciplinary actions related to their refusal to comply with the COVID-19 vaccine mandate on account of religion can correct their service records and protect their careers as part of a recently settled lawsuit.

The settlement, which was approved by a Texas federal judge last week, involves a lawsuit filed in 2021 on behalf of 26 Navy SEALs and several other Special Warfare sailors.

The suit alleged that the service and the Defense Department had violated the First Amendment rights of service members who had religious objections to the vaccine mandate. …

The SEALs’ lawsuit subsequently was expanded to include a class of all Navy service members who had religious objections to the vaccine …

Under the settlement, the Navy must recheck personnel records of service members covered by the lawsuit to ensure that all documented adverse actions taken solely due to vaccine mandate refusal are permanently deleted, according to federal court records. …

The settlement also requires the Navy to correct the records of service members who left the service rather than face punishment for their religious objections to the vaccine.

The records of those covered by the lawsuit who were discharged solely because they refused the vaccine also must be reviewed, and any indication that the individual was removed for misconduct must be deleted. …

Moreover, the Navy must pay $1.5 million in attorneys fees and make a public statement affirming its respect for religious service members. …

From The Western Journal. A school district cannot be sued for administering a COVID-19 vaccine to a young child despite the parents’ explicit instructions against it.

The Vermont Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Windham Southeast School District and the Vermont Department of Health on Friday, saying the organizations are not legitimate targets of the family’s lawsuit and bringing an apparent end to a legal saga that has been in play since 2021.

The issue began in November of that year as a 6-year-old, named L.P. in court records, was given one dose of a Pfizer vaccine at a clinic hosted by the district and health department.

According to WPMI-TV, prior to the clinic the 6-year-old’s parents informed the school that their child was not to be vaccinated. …

Soon realizing the gravity of this error, the district contacted the parents and apologized to no avail — L.P. was pulled from the school. …

The parents of L.P. were not convinced by this apology, and filed suit in September 2022.

Friday, the state’s highest court cited a federal law in its dismissal of the family’s lawsuit.

“Plaintiffs sued various named and unnamed state and school defendants,” the court’s ruling reads. “We conclude that defendants are immune from suit under the Federal Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP Act).” …

Lord Jesus thank you for your vindication of these sailors and may they be recompensed and blessed for their stands. May they be blessed in all areas of their lives and set the standard by their voices and sharing to encourage so many others to stand up for our freedoms especially our religious freedoms as courage encourages courage in others. May your church rise up in this hour as never before to use our voices for truth and love in Jesus Christ.
