A federal trade court has blocked President Trump from imposing sweeping tariffs on imports under an emergency-powers law. This is only the latest in a long line of judicial attacks against the Trump administration and agenda.

Breitbart has the story:
The ruling from a three-judge panel at the New York-based Court of International Trade came after several lawsuits arguing Trump has exceeded his authority, left U.S. trade policy dependent on his whims and unleashed economic chaos.
āThe Worldwide and Retaliatory Tariff Orders exceed any authority granted to the President by IEEPA to regulate importation by means of tariffs,ā the court wrote, referring to the 1977 International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

Tariffs must typically be approved by Congress, but Trump says he has the power to act because the countryās trade deficits amount to a national emergency. He imposed tariffs on most of the countries in the world at one point, sending markets reeling.
Breitbart notes these lawsuits have centered around whether President Trump has the legal authority to institute tariffs in the first place. Plaintiffs argue that the 1977 act does not give the President permission to impose tariffs, while President Trump argues that the courts approved former President Nixon’s emergency use of tariffs in 1971.
As the President continues to fight for his right to govern in court, let’s pray. Let’s pray for an end to judicial activism and overreach, and let’s ask God to strengthen our President.

Lord, you are a God that does not show partiality. You judge all equally regardless of their race or wealth. It is a shame that your followers seem to be unable to do the same. You judge Democrats and Republicans by the same standard of justice. But Christians today seem to criticize Democrats with the smallest evidence but here refuse to acknowledge that Trump breaks the law and is ruled against by 96% of courts by both Republican and Democratic appointed judges. Christians seem to insist the Trump is making the country safer by his immigration policies but refuse to acknowledge the pardons he is giving to dangerous criminals making our country far less safe. Republicans do not report on JD Vance investing in companies that benefit from tariffs. IFA refuses to report on the damage to the economy and pension plans since Trump returned to office. IFA refuses to report on other countries, our allies, warning its citizens to not travel to our country. Lord, when you are so fair and just, why are your followers so partial and biased. This hurts the gospel. Christians are leaving Evangelical Churches. May your word spread and your people return to the truth.

Americans need to understand that tariffs are NOT paid for by exporting countries or companies but by U.S consumers. Studies of the 2018 tariffs have confirmed that businesses pass on increases to consumers. The Budget Lab projects that 2025 tariffs will lower real gross domestic product growth by 0.7 percentage points. And this does not reflect the effect of 25% tariffs on pharmaceuticals and semiconductors, should they be enforced. It is estimated that the costs to the drug industry could be as high as $51 billion annually. It would especially impact generic drug makers who rely on foreign sources for ingredients. The increase cost of semiconductors would impact aerospace, robotics and artificial intelligence industries.
And all of this is BEFORE retaliatory tariffs are added by other countries.
Let us instead pray for fiscal responsibility to return to the White House.

The liberal judges are going to lose anything he does. If it’s good for the US they will lose it. They have to keep him busy with lawsuits to protect their own crooked interests. Where was our judicial system when biden adm was destroying our country?? God, please intervene soon! Be with our president, strengthen him and guide him. Give him much wisdom and understanding to govern our nation wisely and godly.

The enemy is full of fury. He is trying to stop Trump in any way possible. Lord, so him from acting. Tie his hands that he may not use these unelected judges to carry out his will. Give president Trump the perseverance needed to carry out your will. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
Not the enemy. Tariffs have nothing to do with godliness. Just people who know more about economics and are concerned.
