As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepares to attend the United Nations General Assembly in September, the Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani considers arresting Netanyahu during his U.N. visit to New York City.

While New York City’s mayor has no authority over U.S. foreign policy, Mamdani says he is exploring what legal options may exist if Netanyahu visits the city.
From The Western Journal:
“I believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu belongs in The Hague,” Mamdani told The New York Times, referring to the United Nations’ International Court of Justice.
Mamdani has been overridden twice in recent months by the U.S. State Department for trying to deal with foreign leaders but remains firm on the question of arresting Netanyahu.
He said he was in “an active conversation” with the New York City Law Department about arresting Israel’s leader.
Mamdani has argued that Netanyahu should face accountability over the ongoing war in Gaza, pointing to charges issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC). Israel rejects those accusations, and the United States is not a party to the ICC.
The Israeli leader dismissed Mamdani’s comments, arguing that Israel remains the Middle East’s only democracy and accusing the mayoral candidate of siding with Hamas. Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, also criticized Mamdani, saying Netanyahu would come to New York to address the U.N. “with pride” and defend Israel’s right to protect its citizens.
President Donald Trump previously addressed the possibility of any attempt to detain Netanyahu, saying he would intervene if necessary. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul likewise stated last year that the mayor of New York City does not possess the authority to arrest a foreign head of government.
The issue is likely to receive renewed attention when world leaders gather in New York for the annual U.N. General Assembly this September.
As intercessors, let us pray for protection for Netanyahu, that war in the Middle-East will cease, that Trump will have the wisdom he needs, and that Mamdani’s plans will fail.

In 1999 I had a vivid dream about sand running through an hourglass. The glass structure was supported by stained wood; the upper portion was dark red, the sand white, and the lower base dark blue. As I watched the sand drain into the bottom half of the glass the atmosphere around me grew darker.
By this I knew that time was running out for America, and that immediate and ongoing intercession were needed to reverse our country’s destiny.
The following week my wife Dixie and I mapped out an hourglass-shaped circuit in the Indiana County we lived in at the time. And, during the next year we drove that circuit once a week for a year; interceding in the Spirit as we progressed.
After 9-11 we moved to DC to do our part in the War On Terror as Military Members and conducted similar prayer journeys in the DC and surrounding areas; always asking God to “Awaken America to the
Enemy’s Threats”.
Now, 27 years later we are still at it. And, we are encouraged at the progress intercessors. have made.
We take delight that America is Awakening to threats like Communism and Islam. So, Mamdani’s rise to influence may actually be good; causing ever greater numbers of American Citizens to take note and respond through prayer and social and political reform.
The enemy is revealing his hand. Motivations and schemes are being exposed.
Certainly, God has seen everything progress and is pleased to partner with any of His Children who will respond to His Promptings in whatever way He Directs.
Mamdani and others like him will not succeed in harming Netanyahu or Israel or in thwarting America’s Purposes. President Trump has said so, and He rededicated our nation to God on May 17th on the National Mall. God’s Kingdom is advancing.
I’ll close with this; after moving to DC I bought a bicycle and started riding around the National Mall and principle federal locations once a week for a year, praying in the Spirit just like I had done during the hourglass experience years before.
God was in it too. Every time I went out the roads were clear enough to enable me to complete that week’s journey. I road past the Lincoln and Washington Monuments, the National Capitol Building, the Supreme Court, the White House, the J. Edgar Hoover (FBI) Building, the State Department, and more. Let that settle in; one bike, one intercessor, one week at a time through all kinds of weather.
A disclosure; the determination to do these prayer journeys came from brokenness, not some special gift or character quality. And, Dixie and I are fully aware there are many tens of thousands of intercessors praying in various ways for America – so we are just a small part of a much larger effort.
As for New York City, the thousands of intercessors there are no doubt addressing the issues.
God WILL Prevail and America WILL be Saved. The Third Great Awakening is upon us.
PM Netanyahu is not guilty of any “war crime” as the policy of the nation of Israel is to only respond to their enemies AFTER they attack Israel. Defending the people of any nation is the DUTY of the leadership.
The mayor of NYC continues to show us his arrogance in trying to use his position for that which he was never elected for. He also is giving away (not publicly) that he is, no doubt, both directly & indirectly working with terrorist forces here & abroad. To make threats such as arresting one of our allies leaders is without a doubt, one of the most arrogant statements or thoughts I’ve ever heard in my lifetime.. Pride cometh before a great fall. It will be a great example to the world as God will humble Mamdani…as he has done to other evil, arrogant, godless leaders in history.
What kind of crazy is this???? Mamdani should be removed from Office immediately!!!! What’s wrong with Americans!!!??? A blind man can see this man’s evil intentions! Pray him OUT!!!

There are many psy ops going on in our country. China is running one that is trying to convince Americans that Israel is the cause of all the issues in the Middle East and that Trump is their puppet. So much of our “news” is skewed. We need to find those who have first hand accounts that we trust. It is getting harder and harder to dicern the truth.
Father, thank you for hearing your peoples prayers for the protection over Prime Minister Netanyahu. Arise Oh Lord in this situation that your enemies may be flee. A leader has been given a place in an elective office who does not fear you God and he does not give you glory. I pray that he will be removed quickly and another will take his place that fears you God and that gives you glory. I pray for your will be done in this situation. Thank you Jesus Christ. I shall never understand how the city of New York could have elected this man as mayor! Doesn’t New York have any more sensible, dedicated, American loving people like Giuliana? I guess the people who voted for him will wake up when the city “goes to pot”!

Father, I ask for protection for Netanyahu along with a boldness that comes from believing and trusting in the protection of the Lord God Almighty. Set Your angels round about him in such a way that the eyes of the enemies of his soul are opened to see them, that they would turn and run. Lord, close the mouths of these “lions” who make threats. Let it be known that there is a God in heaven above who involves Himself in the affairs of mankind. Let the glory of Gid be known among men. Shut the mouth of Mamdani and others who make such threats and who speak against my God. Thank You, Lord. Amen.

Lord open the eyes and hearts of the American people to see what is happening in our beautiful country. The infiltration of evil in all its forms. Please have mercy and grace on us and forgive us for turning our backs on You. You and You alone is our Truth, Light, and Strength. Lord, thank You for the revival/reformation that is coming. I can hear the thunder in the distance. Many will be convicted of sins for hatred and turning from holiness. They will come to realize their need for You as Savior. Thank You Heavenly Father for Your great plans for our nation. I declare there will be be rejoicing and dancing in the streets. People will be singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Your kingdom come! Your will be done! In Jesus’ name. So be it!
