Despite the snow, lawmakers gathered in the Capitol on January 6 to certify President-elect Donald Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.
From Fox News. Congress officially certified President-elect Trump’s 2024 election victory on Monday, taking him one step closer to assuming the Oval Office at the end of this month.

Tellers for the Senate’s vote counting were Sens. Deb Fischer, R-Neb., and Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and those on the House side were Reps. Bryan Steil, R-Wis., and Joe Morelle, D-N.Y.
The 312 electoral college votes for Trump were counted and presented by the tellers, in addition to the 226 votes for Vice President Kamala Harris.

I pray for President elect Trump that he would continue to be protected now and throughout his presidency and beyond. Than I ask that he would truly recognize that it was You who saved and protected him from. Death from assassin’s bullets and it is You who have brought him to the office of the president of the United States of America. May he turn to You for wisdom and discernment for the multitude of decisions to be made. Surround him with leaders who also look to You for wisdom and discernment and may all of them have the best interest of the people with godly values as their priority. May. President Trump develop humility while being a strong leader and may You, Father, become his first love. May Your Holy Spirit fill him with the fruits of the Spirit that begin to flow out of him naturally. MY he not only have wisdom and strength to lead the USA but wisdom and discernment when dealing with leaders around the world. May he be able to negotiate peace so that there are no wars. May the fentanyl be removed from our country, criminals illegally here deported, sex trafficking greatly reduced, innocent babies be protected, woke agendas be removed from education, girls & women only in women’s sports,, children protected from making dangerous decisions about their bodies… may we become energy independent. May the Abraham accords be re-established. May Trump have wisdom in dealing with our Allie’s and enemies. May he have wisdom about establishing tariffs.

Father I lift President Trump I pray he remain humble before you, seeking your wisdom your direction knowing you have placed him in the Presidency that he has the love and respect of we the people because of you. President Trump was a great president once and I believe he will be again. I voted for him both times. I pray his heart will be for the Lord. I prayed he would win this time and will continue to pray for him.
I pray Donald Trump will repent and ask forgiveness for any crimes he may have committed, and that his heart will be in right standing with the God who created him. That he will be a person of integrity, as God so desires. God is a God of justice. Justice will be served.
Grateful this January 6th was calm and peaceful and respectful of our constitution and democracy.

I agree, Phil! I’ve found it’s never wise to ask the Lord for what we deserve, but to instead cast ourselves on His mercy. His mercy allows us to not get the bad stuff we justly do deserve. Then it is wise to ask for His grace. His grace allows us to get the good stuff we don’t deserve. I pray we receive mercy and grace as a nation, and as His body of believers.
Thank you, Father for providing certification for our president to be. Protect him during this interim period of time from any who are seeking to prevent this election from happening. Continue to give him favor and surround him only with those who are seeking the best for our country and for him. Hold back the enemies plans and instead let you reign over our country and continue to provide us with your blessings.
