I Prayed have prayed
Father, we thank You for inspiring Columbia University to change course and protect its Jewish students. We pray no Jewish student would ever again have to fear for their safety on a college campus.

After its funding was cut, Columbia University decided to institute the Trump administration’s proposed changes, taking steps to crack down on protestors and protect Jewish students.

From Fox News. A group of people continued marching and circling around the main gate of Columbia University on Monday afternoon, banging loud drums and chanting, “Long live the intifada.”

Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.

Their actions come shortly after Columbia University professors held what they called an “emergency vigil” in response to the college’s agreement to implement a host of policy changes …

Earlier this month, theĀ Trump administrationĀ pulled $400 million in research grants and other funding over how the university handled protests against Israelā€™s military campaign in Gaza. In order to consider restoring those funds and billions more in future grants, federal officials demanded nine separate changes to the university’s academic and security policies.

On Sunday, U.S. Education Secretary Linda McMahon said during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” that Columbia University is “on the right track” toward recovering federal funding after the eliteĀ New York City universityĀ agreed to implement a host of policy changes demanded by the Trump administration.

McMahon described “great conversations” with Columbia’s interim president, Katrina Armstrong, who announced Friday that the university would put its Middle East studies department under new supervision and overhaul its rules for protests and student discipline. It also agreed to adopt a new definition of antisemitism and expand “intellectual diversity” by staffing up its Institute for Israel and Jewish Studies, according toĀ an outline posted on its website. …

Father, thank you for Columbia’s decision. We are guaranteed freedom to protest but not protests that endanger others and turn violent. May your Holy Spirit work in the hearts of other university leaders that the Jewish students would feel protection rather than intimidation. We praise your name.

It’s a wonderful move and needs to be examined in all our schools, although I believe it is also self serving. Most professors come into teaching with their own belief systems and drum it into the students. This is going on even in our grade and high school environments. Most are not understanding of the history and why things have come to this time in history. So here we are, what do we do. As a Christian I desire to understand better so have taken on the challenge to reading more about Israel’s history and God’s plan. May my understanding line up with His. I need His heart for the Jewish people and His plan. May He be glorified.

Dear Lord and Savior, we know that you work your plan in good times and bad. We know that Your miracles abound and we see your hand at work in the Trump administration. Nothing in this present world will ever be perfect except You dear Jesus. Help your people to exhibit true Christ-like love for all people and win their neighbors to have faith in you also. Now Lord we give thanks for Columbia U affording protection to Jewish students. Let the wisdom that comes with knowing You Lord, be shown in students on campus as well as in their faculty. Amen

Lord, blow the breath of Holy Spirit into every person in this University. Thank You for this course correction. Only a changed world view will change the culture in this University. All glory to God. Amen.
