The United States shouldn’t be enriching “a hostile regime” that is “configuring its military to kill Americans,” China analyst Gordon Chang said Monday.
In an interview on Fox News, Chang expressed support for a full decoupling of the U.S. economy from China, calling the move floated by President Trump an “absolutely a good idea.”
“China is configuring its military to kill Americans,” Chang told “Bill Hemmer Reports.”
“We shouldn’t be enriching a hostile regime with our trade and with our investment. I believe that decoupling is what we absolutely have to do especially this year.” . . .
Chang’s comments follow a recent Pentagon report suggesting that China is planning to double its stockpile of nuclear warheads in this decade — including those designed for ballistic missiles and that can reach the U.S. The report adds a time clock to Trump’s decision, Chang said.
“[President] Xi Jinping has been talking increasingly about this notion that China has a mandate of heaven to rule the world,” Chang explained. “They [believe that they] not only have the right to do it, they have the obligation to do it.
“I think China believes it needs to move fast and that means we’re going to see problems not in the 2030s, we’re going to see problems now.” . . .
The Coming Collapse of China” author warned that the Chinese government is working fast to counter a “closing window of opportunity because of the problems in the economy, in the environment, demography.

Trump raised the possibility of severing ties with the Communist country during an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Steve Hilton last month.
“There has been no country that has ripped us off more than China…,” Trump said at the time. “We lose billions, hundreds of billions of dollars. We get nothing from China. Yes, we get some goods that we could produce ourselves….[but] we get nothing. All we do is lose money.”
As far as his landmark trade deal signed by both countries in January, Trump said the agreement is “longer the same to me” after their mishandling of the coronavirus and that “if they don’t treat us right,” he would “certainly” part ways with Beijing.

Father, I ask for wisdom for President Trump and his advisors as they make decisions regarding China. May we as a nation focus on you rather than fear. Some trust in horses and some in chariots but we trust on the name of the Lord our God. You alone can deliver us as we repent of evil and seek your face.

God and Father of us all please be at work in opening the eyes of a heart to see how far we are from you now! As can be known by such little interest in such a clear warning of danger that this article gives us! It’s like we are showing same fear of it as we have been showing of the pandemic being too fearful to think anything of it!
Lord please continue to give President Trump and his advisors Your wisdom and a great desire to do Your will in all government and private decision making. We are praying for the soul of President Xi, that You will send the hound of heaven to chase him. Let President Xi’s heart be uneasy and the only peace he can have is thru You. Give President Xi discernment and understanding that YOU ARE his creator. Please let President Xi lead China into cooperation with President Trump for religious freedom and help each other financially.

Mighty God, I totally agree with this prayer. Your word tells us in Mathew 18:19, that if Two of us agree on earth on anything we ask for, it will be done for us by our Father in Heaven. I Believe it and declare it in Jesus Name!
