Reading Time: 2 minutes

Former Minneapolis, Minnesota, police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty Tuesday on all three charges he faced in the death of George Floyd: second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter.

In a brief proceeding, Judge Peter A. Cahill unsealed the envelope carrying the jury’s decision and read the verdicts aloud, then asked each individual juror to confirm the decision. Bail was then revoked and Chauvin, nodding in assent, was led away in handcuffs.

A crowd gathered in downtown Minneapolis was jubilant. Speakers imposed those gathered to continue their commitment to the cause of police reform, though they might “celebrate” for a day. Around the country, local authorities braced for potential riots, regardless of the outcome. National Guard units were on standby in case of unrest and looting. . . .

The defense is planning to appeal, and will likely argued that Chauvin was denied a fair trial by the judge’s decision not to change the venue of the trial and not to sequester the jury during a period in which there were further police shootings and local riots.

Judge Cahill admitted Monday that the remarks of Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) over the weekend calling for unrest unless Chauvin was found guilty created potential grounds for appeal in the event of a conviction, but declined to declare a mistrial.

Sentencing will be in roughly eight weeks. Chauvin could face 12.5 years on the most serious charge, but could be given an even longer sentence if prosecutors follow through on earlier commitments to argue for aggravating circumstances. . . .

Dear Father God,
In spite of all this hatred, division and insanity, You alone know the truth regarding every detail of Derik Chauvin’s actions and life.
Now that he has been convicted, I plead with you my Father to have mercy on this man.
Moses was a murderer, and how you mighty used him for your glory.
In solitary confinement, no matter how long can make any man mad.
I pray for his soul, that by your Holy Spirit you touch his heart, reach him as only you know how, in your time, your way my God, I pray you send your angels in that cell, watch over him, Save him like the convict on the cross next to you Jesus, Mercy, I pray this in you Holy Precious name.

Just want the IFA Christians to know that I (Pauline) DID NOT say : “wow. So much anger in the hearts of the church.” Maybe there is “another Pauline” out there! I would NEVER say that! Thank God for the real church!! I agree with some, that there are some people on this site that I wonder about their “motives” for being on here. I will pray, diligently ever day, for the issues that are on IFA. However, I will not be commenting for awhile. God bless you and God bless IFA!!

Dear Pauline, thank you for clarifying that comment made by someone else. Most of the intercessors on IFA are of one mind and can discern spiritual matters. We speak our mind with comments and prayers. It’s obvious there are some trying to cause division in the church and they just might be infiltrating this site. God Bless You.

Our emotions are getting in the way. We aren’t in the word which will guide us into all righteousness. We have to change direction and trust God. The Bible has the answers. Someone once said “if the Bible and I disagree, I change”

I am not surprised by the verdict. The tension and memory of last year’s mob meltdown by Antifa, BLM, and yes, let’s not forget peaceful protesters (in the day) blocking traffic and motorists getting beat up. I don’t even have to mention all the vandalism, fires, looting and police confrontations that went on night after night. Why would any decent juror want a repeat performance of that lunacy! No, they were conditioned and biased from the start. Is it any wonder why Maxine Waters is out there trying to stir up the hornets nest again. Remember, it was violent, not peaceful, protests that got results. She must be held accountable. I’m calling my Republican Congressman and letting him know that.

Wow. So much anger and hate in the hearts of the church.

Pauline, it’s a righteous anger over what angers God, and sinful behavior that grives the Holy Spirit. That’s different than the anger and hate you’re speaking about.

That is a different Pauline than the above. I did not write the: “Wow. So much anger and hate in the hearts of the church” statement, however, BECAUSE OF WHAT I BELIEVE (A FEW) ARE SAYING OR DOING ON THIS IFA SITE AND NOW APPEARS TO USE MY NAME, I WILL STOP MAKING ANY COMMENTS!! I WILL NOT HAVE MY NAME “USED” FOR NAFARIOUS PURPOSES!! I WILL CONTINUE TO PRAY!! SHAME ON THE ONE’S WHO ARE SO DECEPTIVE AND HURTING A SITE THAT IS MUCH NEEDED AT A TIME SUCH AS THIS!!
I DO NOT BELIEVE THERE IS ANGER AND HATE IN THE CHURCH! THANK GOD! FOR THE CHURCH,

Pauline, those of us who have read your comments for awhile KNOW that it wasn’t you that made that comment! Shame, shame, on the one who did. Leave them in God’s hand, He knows how to handle it! God bless you. I have also had it happen to me on this site.

Remember the money changers that JESUS threw out of the temple! My Bible says “be ye angry and sin not!” Yes we are the Church of JESUS CHRIST, and we are angry, but without sin! GOD did not call a bunch of patsies, but a mighty HOLY GHOST filled Army! GOD does NOT wink at sin (antifa, BLM, riots, adding ballots to win an election, lying, etc.) And we are not to wink at sin either. Derek Chauvin, guilty or not, had elected officials that claimed him guilty BEFORE the trial! How could true justice be served? FATHER GOD help YOUR Church to get on our knees constantly until CHRIST be formed in us and our families as we intercede for ALL that is going on! In JESUS Name! Amen!

Now that the undocumented democratic mob got what they wanted, they want to holler unity. I for one will not be in unity with liars and cheats and looters and thugs. The Bible says, “how can two walk together except they agree?” Also my GOD says that we are to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness.” All I can do for the mob is to pray for laborers to come to them with the WORD of Salvation. FATHER give me the Mind and Heart of CHRIST and HIS Compassion for the lost in JESUS Name! Amen!

I think maybe the people you call the “mob” are really the ones praying for laborers to come bring salvation to you. It is clear you do not know the healing power of salvation and you struggle to understand God’s love and redeeming power.

Honey, please read your Bible. I do know the power of salvation. In the scriptures, JESUS was Never politically correct. He called them vipers, snakes, children of satan, etc. They are a mob! They are doing the devil’s work on this earth: looting, burning innocent people’s property, beating innocent people, trying to burn policemen alive and on and on representing their father the devil! And yes I do pray for them and you, and I am not ignorant of satan’s devices of which one is the “mob”! in JESUS Name!

Heavenly Father, you know what really happened 25 May 2020 and one day justice will be truly served by You! Under the Constitution we are given the right to a fair trial, which is being lost, people are convicting before a trial is finalized. Peer pressure, mob pressure, the elite are driving decisions in our society. During these unsettling times, it is easy to get caught up in emotion, feelings and the movement.
Lord help us to calm our spirits, go to our quiet space looking to you in all decisions and be discerning in everything – every day we need to put on the Full Armor of God so that we do not fall astray from upholding righteousness.
Ephesians 6:10-18 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Each governor, mayor, city council member, citizen must ask themselves if we as citizens are really innocent until (proven) guilty. If we as citizens -us,our children, grandchildren are going to be tried by the mob and shall we just ignore the rule of law and pretend it does not matter.
