I Prayed have prayed
Lord, give our leaders wisdom and direction in which legislation to support, and which not to. We also ask You to intervene to keep us from a direction and commitments that would not be good for our nation.

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) doubled down on her position not to support the Democratic leadership’s $3.5 trillion spending bill on Sept. 30, while claiming that she had raised concerns about the bill with Democratic leaders in August.

On Thursday, Sinema joined Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) in indicating that they would not back the bill without adjustments

“Senator Sinema said publicly more than two months ago, before Senate passage of the bipartisan infrastructure bill, that she would not support a bill costing $3.5 trillion,” Sinema’s office said in a statement shared on her Twitter account. “In August, she shared detailed concerns and priorities, including dollar figures, directly with Senate Majority Leader [Chuck] Schumer and the White House.

“Claims that the Senator has not detailed her views to President Biden and Senator Schumer are false,” she added…

The statement was in response to some Democrats calling for clarity from Manchin and Sinema after they had back-to-back meetings with President Joe Biden regarding the bill; stating they had no idea what both senators were asking for in negotiations.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) even went as far as to brand Manchin and Sinema “Republicans” during an interview with CNN…

Manchin told reporters Wednesday that he believes the $1.5 trillion figure was the most the government could do without “jeopardiz[ing] our economy.”…

Share your thoughts in the comments below, and add a prayer for our legislators to have wisdom regarding which spending to support.

Father,
I thank you for giving discernment and wisdom to Senators Sinema and Manchin in regards to this bill.
Please give them the desired to vote for what is right and that they align with you and vote for all the legislation that aligns with your will. Reveal yourself to them so they can accept your gift of salvation and turn away from unrighteousness. In Jesus Name. Amen

Lord, I lift up the Senators to you. I ask that they would seek your guidance in this spending bill. It is your economy and the nation needs leaders with your vision as to not burden this generation along with future generations. I pray this in the name of Jesus.

Lord God – your word tells us that you can direct the hearts and minds of any king (leaders). We know you alone have that power and ability. We ask that you would continue to strengthen the stand of these 2 senators. We ask boldly that other senators within their party do a 180 and join them in not supporting this legislation as it presently stands. Change the hearts and minds of many legislators to protect our nation and not destroy it through fiscal mismanagement and irresponsible decisions.
We boldly ask that you would remove those in office bent on destroying our nation and replace them with God honoring, fearing and righteous individuals. Amen.
