From The Daily Mail: A brazen thief stole hundreds of dollars worth of clothing from a discount store in California before elegantly hauling the goods away in a trash bag…

In the video, the man, dressed in a brown jacket and pants, and a blue surgical mask, takes only a quick glance behind him before confidently strolling out the sliding doors…

The cart begins tipping sideways but, unbothered by the obstacles, the thief manages to grab a trash bag from a nearby garbage, and shove the clothes and shoes into it. In the meantime, customers are seen entering and exiting the store without sparing him a second glance.

When he tries to lift the bulging bag, shoes tumble out – and he resorts to Plan B: taking the whole garbage can with him. He shoves everything into the bin and drags it through the parking lot.

Big cities have seen an influx in crime with thieves becoming more emboldened to steal right in front of customers and staff – most of the time without security blinking an eye – and woke district attorneys refusing to prosecute shoplifters….

The passage of Proposition 47 in 2014 also downgraded charges of property theft of less than $950 in value from a felony to a misdemeanor.

In addition, two or more people conspiring to ‘cheat and defraud any person or any property, by any means which are in themselves criminal’ face no more than one year in county prison, a fine of $10,000 or a combination of the two.

But California Governor Gavin Newsom announced new initiatives last week to combat the rising crime rate after packages discarded by thieves near the Union Pacific tracks in downtown Los Angeles made the site look ‘like a third-world country…’

Chesa Boudin, San Francisco’s progressive district attorney who ran on a platform of criminal justice reform and accepted $2million from left-wing philanthropist George Soros, has been blamed by many for spiking crime rates in his city.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on December 15 slammed the ‘attitude of lawlessness’ sweeping the nation, citing the mobs of robbers who have targeted luxury boutiques in her hometown of San Francisco and stores in other cities. But she stopped short of endorsing Breed’s plan to step up policing…
