I Prayed have prayed
Lord, protect property owners from an encroaching government. May our institutions recognize the limits they have and protect American citizens rather than attack them. Amen.

When a local government official cannot legally stop a federal agency from doing its job, what comes next? For Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, the answer is public pressure, and the federal government is not pleased about it.

Mayor Wu announced plans to file public records requests to identify private property owners who are leasing parking spaces to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. ICE had sought 249 parking spaces in Boston to support its operations in the area. Wu, who leads one of the country’s most prominent sanctuary cities, made clear she intends to contact those property owners directly and discourage them from cooperating with the agency.

Wu acknowledged her administration has no legal authority to block private citizens from entering into lease agreements with federal law enforcement. But she framed ICE’s presence in Boston as a public safety threat and described the agency’s operations as unlawful and dangerous. Her plan is to use public exposure as a tool to pressure property owners into backing away from the contracts.

The Department of Homeland Security pushed back sharply. DHS called Wu a “pro-criminal mayor” who is attempting to intimidate private citizens for exercising their legal right to cooperate with federal law enforcement. The agency accused Wu of overstepping her authority and said her actions amount to targeted harassment of ICE agents. DHS also noted that Wu previously compared ICE agents to a neo-Nazi group, a charge that drew widespread criticism at the time.

This is not the first time Boston has used its sanctuary city status to block cooperation with immigration authorities. The city has previously enacted policies preventing ICE from using public property for its operations. The parking space dispute is the latest front in that ongoing standoff between city leadership and federal immigration enforcement.

Romans 13 calls believers to recognize the God-given role of governing authorities and the order they are meant to uphold. When elected officials use the powers of their office to intimidate private citizens for cooperating with federal law enforcement, it raises serious questions about accountability and the rule of law. Let us pray that government at every level would pursue justice honestly, protect individual rights, and resist the temptation to use public office as a weapon against those who simply follow the law.

Father God, please see this anti-American and criminal mayor gets your righteous and just judgments for trespassing against we the people and against your righteous laws. Move on thousands and thousands of property owners to make their private propertys available for our great ICE and other law-enforcement who need their space for parking, etc. We thank you Lord God that though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not go unpunished, but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

Lord Jesus, please remove the spirit of lawlessness from our country! I’m trying to understand why these rogue mayors and judges are caring more about illegal immigrants than the US citizens, especially when they are committing horrendous crimes after being released multiple times!! Please restore sanity, wisdom and discretion to our judicial system and government Lord! Please pour out your Holy Spirit on us all, making us ready for your soon second coming. Wake up Your Church and send harvesters into the very ripe fields. In Jesus name we pray!
