“As I often said during my campaign for president, no one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana,” Biden said in a statement. “Sending people to prison for possessing marijuana has upended too many lives and incarcerated people for conduct that many states no longer prohibit.”
Biden said he’s also asking the secretary of Health and Human Services, Xavier Becerra, and Attorney General Merrick Garland to review how marijuana is regarded under federal law. …

Biden’s announcement does not decriminalize marijuana under federal law. In 1970, the Controlled Substances Act made it what is labeled Schedule 1. This means it has “no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse.” …
The Hill reported “Republican Rep. Nancy Mace (S.C.) on Thursday applauded President Biden’s decision to pardon all individuals convicted of simple possession of marijuana under federal law, giving the White House “credit where credit is due.”
“I want to give credit where credit is due. I don’t always agree with the Biden administration, I’ve been very vocal about that, but this is a step in the right direction,” Mace told Fox Business Network’s “Kennedy” when asked for her thoughts on the move.”

I think it could be a way to buy votes from the pot heads but who am I to judge…God, Father, please help Biden make wise decisions, help the fire he and his family faces in the media turn them to you in spirit and truth in true repentance. Help America get through this administration with our nation and economy intact, bring a revival that will reach into every heart, especially crimnals who entered our nation illegally with intent to harm or extort from Americans or
encourage more crime or illegal drug use. They apparently were actually guilty of greater crimes than “simple possession of marijuana”
I pray for the people who are being released but the people in our neighborhoods and Law Enforcement are in danger because these people, including kids are not being made responsible.

They allow people to drink Beer, Wine and Liquor. Pot isn’t dangerous as alcohol.
They are all dangerous! I know of a young 37 year old man that went on a marijuana spree one weekend and he had a psychotic break from reality and wound up in the locked mental illness ward of a hospital! The blood
and all tests showed only marijuana in his system! The psychiatrist said marijuana can be just as deadly as any other narcotic! The young man was in the hospital 1 week. Took anti-psychotic drugs and came back enough to function in life, but his entire personality was changed and 7 yeas later he is not yet wholly restored! The doctor says if he stops smoking marijuana, his mind can be totally restored! Another friend of mind began smoking only marijuana in the late 60s. He smoked most of his life, earned great money, had no ambition, and just got by. He got saved, stopped smoking, began building his life and doing great! After many years of being marijuana free, he backslid, began smoking again, and lost his very high paying contract job in his late 60s because of dirty urine! He was so ashamed and began going downhill! The smoking not only affected his life negatively, his mind began to go. He died of a massive heart attack at the age of 70 and had nothing to show for his life! He loved JESUS and had repented, so he is in Heaven, but from that first puff he had a fight! If we could talk to him I am sure he would say it wasn’t worth smoking his life away! “Let that mind be in us that was also in CHRIST JESUS!” FATHER GOD I bind the lie from the devil that marijuana is a safe drug. Any substance that alters reality (gets a person high) is not YOUR Will for our lives! YOUR WORD says that we are to be vigilant and sober because our adversary the devil is walking around seeking people to devour! Give us the mind and strength of JESUS to resist all temptations and lies of the devil in JESUS MIGHTY NAME! Amen!
A crime is a crime. Alcoholics started with one drink. Most marijuana users next drug is harder. It happens more times than not. So jail may deter them from harder drugs, which is unacceptable.
