“The United States is providing another significant package of urgently needed weapons and equipment to our Ukrainian partners as they defend against Russia’s ongoing attacks,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement.
The package announced Thursday includes drones; High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) artillery and ammunition; armored vehicles; nuclear, chemical and radiological protective equipment; and other equipment.
The newest round of aid follows Biden’s announcement of a $988 million military aid package to Ukraine earlier this week. …
From The Hill. House Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday rejected a White House request to pass $24 billion in additional aid for Ukraine by the end of the year, saying any further assistance for Kyiv would be decided by President-elect Trump when he assumes office in January. …
Johnson, speaking during a House Republican Leaders news conference, said Trump’s election victory is changing the dynamic of Russia’s war on Ukraine and that any additional U.S. assistance for Kyiv should be decided under the next administration.
“As we predicted and as I said to all of you, weeks before the election, if Donald Trump is elected it will change the dynamic of the Russian war on Ukraine, and we’re seeing that happen,” he said.
“So, it is not the place of Joe Biden to make that decision now, we have a newly elected president and we’re going to wait and take the new commander in chief’s direction on all that so I don’t expect any Ukraine funding to come up now.”
The White House request to Congress would have provided additional aid for Ukraine through 2026, amid expectations that Trump will pressure Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to negotiate with Russian President Vladimir Putin for an end to the nearly three-year war. …

Thank you, Father, for Speaker Johnson’s stand. Bless him as he leads the House.
Thank You Lord for Speaker Johnson. We must know where our tax dollars are going in Ukraine. I don’t want to fund the Ukrainian government, while we have homeless veterans in our nearby small towns. My dad’s brother died from Agent Orange. My mom’s dad was killed in the Korean War & she grew up in an orphanage, along with her 2 siblings. My dad’s a veteran, his other 3 brothers were vets too. My nephew is in the Black OPs and guarded Pres. Trump in Japan. We need to insure they will be covered in the future. Our little community just allowed the VA to outsource dad’s care to local doctors who will accept the VA payments. We didn’t have to go to Syracuse 5 days a week for 9 weeks for dad’s cancer treatments. Let’s pray for those innocent people in Ukraine & cover our vets first.
I pray that the United States would cease funding the death of a generation of Ukranians. The government of Ukraine is corrupt and we have no business encouraging this war. We need to pursue peace.
THAT HAS BEEN MY PRAYER THAT GOD WOULD INTERVIN..,,AND THANK YOU JOHNSON FOR STANDING UP TO BIDEN….IN JESUS NAME.
