An appeals court has put an end to former President Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan. With Biden out of office and President Trump looking at cutting costs, it’s safe to assume this is the last we’ve seen of federally-arranged student loan forgiveness for a while.
From Breitbart. The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals blocked former President Joe Biden’s Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) plan, which would have transferred student loan debt from borrowers to taxpayers.

CNBC reported that the decision by the appeals court came after “seven Republican-led states” filed a lawsuit against the Department of Education’s SAVE plan and “argued” that Biden had no “authority to establish” the SAVE plan and that he had been “trying to find a roundabout way to forgive student debt.” …
“The Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) Plan is the newest income-driven repayment (IDR) plan,” the Federal Student Aid website says. …
The University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Wharton Budget Model reported that it was estimated that the SAVE Plan would “incur a net cost of $475 billion over the 10-year budget window.” …
This came after the Supreme Court had previously “struck down” Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan in June 2023, “ending a $430 billion debt writeoff.”

Young women get pregnant out of wedlock and the government supports them with living quarters, food stamps & financially. Yet the government makes many retirees pay for their Medicare benefits with their small social security check after working so many years. This is totally unjust. I pray our current government puts an end to this nonsense and returns our money.

One thing most students did not understand was that they were going to have to report the loan forgiveness as income and pay taxes on whatever money was forgiven. The goal was to get students to vote Democrat party, thinking they were being given a “free” government handout.

Speak up, judge righteously, defend the cause of the poor and the needy.
Raise up Your church to provide for those who need help through compassion ministries, because that is Your mandate – “to care for the orphans and widows”. Cease the enablement of “giving handouts” types of programs, and prosper “giving hands-up” programs. Even social welfare should require whatever investment one is capable of, in order to receive help. Grow us up!
No one calling themselves an American should use OPM (Other People’s Money) for their own advancements in life. That should only happen if it is freely given from one person to another. Lord help us all give generously if we have the means to do so. But never let us be taxed and have our hard earned income taken for OPEA (Other People’s Evil Agendas) in Jesus Name. Amen.
As an Administrative Assistant in a Law Firm that specializes in Bankruptcy, I have seen this plan implemented many times over the last year before Trump put a stop to it. The client/student/debtor must first file for Chapter 7 or 13 Bankruptcy and receive a Discharge. So the amount “forgiven” is more than just student loan debt. Thank you President Trump!
I pray that you give every young person wisdom and a clear view of what your plan for their life is. I pray that if you would lead them to higher education, it would truly be education and not indoctrination. Reign in the high prices of a degree and hold these universities accountable for their greed. I pray that You’d do a complete overhaul on this system in America as well.
This is great news. Biden should have never been allowed to give people college loan forgiveness in the first place. I hope that ALL of his evil policies will be overturned. The future of our nation is dependent on it. Lord Jesus, let it be so.
Lord we pray for the families who are struggling with student loan debt who were trying to educate their families. We lift those who need financial help and we pray for laws that assist not only the wealthy but consider the less fortunate and the poor in our country. Help us to honor you by being fair and giving justice to everyone in our country. God, you see what is going on. You know the motivations and intentions of every man. We pray that you create fairness and equity in our country and deal with corrupt political figures with any ill intent. Father we lift every senator, congressman, political appointee, politically connected persons and the citizens of this country and of this world. You said in your word that what we do to the least of these we do to you. Protect our citizens in the face of this; unstable political environment. And give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to care about everyone affected by the things that are happening in our country. Draw men and women back you you. Save them, heal them, bring peace to their hearts. May we care about those that you care about, and may that grip the heart of our president. We pray for wisdom and revelation that comes from your u. Bind every voice and every agenda that is not about what is best for our country. God I pray for all Christians to pray not along party lines or loyalty to a person…but truly give us eyes to see. Give us your heart for our country and for this world. May we honor you in our thinking and in our actions. May we choose justice and give us the courage to speak against injustice and help us to look through your eyes….and to hear with your ears. Help us to call right right…and wrong wrong.
