I Prayed have prayed
God, we thank You for how You are moving in the Middle East. We pray for a mighty move of Your Spirit in and through the people of Iran.

When American bombs fell and the Ayatollah went into hiding, many hoped Iran would finally be freed from its oppressive regime. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case, as the regime has been working overtime to keep its people quiet.

Breitbart has the details:

Reuters reported on Wednesday that Iran is staging an “internal security crackdown across the country with mass arrests, executions, and military deployments, particularly in the restive Kurdish region.”

The crackdown actually began shortly after Israel began striking Iran’s nuclear sites and military commanders on June 13, when the regime moved to quell potential uprisings. The regime’s strategy seems to have worked, as there have been no widespread protests or demands for a new government.

Some Iranians are unhappy with the regime’s dogged insistence on enriching uranium and its utter inability to defend itself against Israeli and U.S. airstrikes, but the regime has previously weathered much higher degrees of anger in the streets. Nothing close to the Green Revolution of 2009 or the “Women, Life, Freedom” uprising of 2022 has emerged since the conflict began. [Emphasis added]

Breitbart notes that Iran is especially concerned about the Kurdish regions, areas mostly along the Turkish border that have seen substantial tension and dissent in recent years. As such, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and “brutal Basij militia” have been “put on alert.”

Iran reportedly set up checkpoints throughout the Kurdish region and started searching homes for weapons after the fighting with Israel began. The nation is also working to reinforce its borders to keep “terrorist” elements out. The regime also shut down the internet for two weeks to prevent the organization of protests.

In the face of such drastic members, human rights activists are claiming the best option now is to lay low:

Human rights activists said the regime made it clear it would harshly repress protests, and the IRGC was eager to imprison and execute anyone who might be an “Israeli spy.”

“We are being extremely cautious right now because there’s a real concern the regime might use this situation as a pretext,” a human rights activist in Tehran told Reuters.

Perhaps this is a sign of a weak and desperate regime flailing to stay in power. Even if that is the case, however, the regimes attempts seem to be working. Despite the hopes of many, this conflict did not lead to the overthrow of the Ayatollah.

We shouldn’t, however, let this silence our prayers. Rather, this news should inform our intercession. Let’s pray for Iran, and let’s pray to the God who removes kings and sets up kings (Daniel 2:21).

IFA,
Here is a response from my Michigan representative Debbie Dingell, regarding Israel sent from IFA.
I cannot express my discontent and dismay of how corrupt congress has become to enforce laws of their choosing to confuse constitutional government. I will do my best to forward.

Dear Ms. Halbisen,

Thank you for contacting me regarding the Middle East. Your thoughts are important.

On June 13, 2025, Israel launched strikes against Iran targeting Iranian nuclear and military sites. The two sides continued to exchange strikes, and more than 800 people have been killed. President Trump praised Israel’s offensive and on June 21, the United States bombed three nuclear sites in Iran. The President did so without consulting the Democratic leadership of Congress. These acts immediately raised concerns about the escalation of conflict between the United States and Iran as well as the potential for another extended war in the Middle East. Iran should never have a nuclear weapon. Iran’s nuclear capability is dangerous for world peace, but it is still not clear what damage was actually done to Iran’s nuclear facilities by these strikes. On June 23, Iran gave early warning to the USA and Qatar for retaliatory airstrikes on a U.S. base in Qatar. Following that, President Trump tweeted “It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE,” yet on June 24, airstrikes continued as both countries accused the other of violating the ceasefire. The ceasefire between Iran and Isreal is holding for now and President Trump announced that the US and Iran will hold direct talks over Iran’s nuclear program soon.

It is imperative that we avoid another protracted military conflict in the Middle East, which puts global peace at risk, endangers countries in the Middle East on all sides, threatens American lives, lacks legal justification, and runs contrary to the United States’ strategic aims. The United States should exhaust every diplomatic effort available before taking any military actions. President Trump’s decision to use military force without authorization from Congress does escalate the risk of war.

The War Powers Resolution, or War Powers Act, makes clear that under the Constitution, Congress has the sole power to declare war, and that the President can send U.S. Armed Forces into action abroad only by declaration of war by Congress, statutory authorization, or in the event of a national emergency caused by an attack upon the United States. The law requires the President to notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and limits how long these forces may remain engaged without the express authorization of Congress. I am a cosponsor of H.Con.Res. 38, the War Powers Resolution to Prohibit Involvement in Iran, which prohibits the United States Armed Forces from unauthorized hostilities in the Islamic Republic of Iran. I am also a cosponsor of H.Con.Res.40, the War Powers Resolution directing the President to remove United States Armed Forces from hostilities with Iran. President Trump must come to Congress, not unilaterally engage in acts of war.

Let me be clear that the potential dangers of a nuclear armed Iran are significant and we all must be concerned. The use of nuclear weapons would have devastating consequences. Efforts have been made by the international community to address these concerns. The situation remains complex, and it is crucial we have ongoing diplomatic and monitoring efforts, but I would like to quote a famous Republican Michigan Senator Arthur Vandenberg who said, “Politics stops at the water’s edge.” We need to be working together with everyone on this issue.

Any escalation of US military involvement requires Congressional authorization, and the Administration must come to Congress for an Authorization for Use of Military Force as required by the Constitution. It is important to approach discussions about the potential dangers of these actions with caution and sensitivity, as conflict in the region can have wide-ranging consequences. I am closely monitoring this evolving situation and will continue to work with my colleagues in Congress to do everything possible to prevent war.

Dear Heavenly Father. We pray for the Iranian people and all the
suffering they have had to go through for over 40 years with the
Ayatollah. He is ruled by Satan and doesn’t care about his people,
only his regime and how he can be the Supreme Leader and sponsor of terror and be able to have enough uranium to build nuclear bombs.

There are Christians in Iran and I pray for their safety and that the
Holy Spirit takes over and they are able to fight back against this
horrible regime in a Joshua/Caleb way. This regime has got to go
or more people will die. Please Lord take over. We are so sick and
tired and fearful when we hear “death to America, death to Israel.”

I thank you for President Trump and the wisdom you gave him when
he decided to bomb the 3 nuclear sites. It was truly an act of total
valor and resolve and let Iran know the strength of America
and what we are capable of. It was awesome to Stand with Israel
and help them out. Instead of a 10 year War it was only a 12 day
War. Please let the Ceasefire continue to go on forever and help
the IDF Soldiers find all the hostages that are still under control
by Hamas.

We live in dangerous times but we have a Godly and anointed President
who surrounds himself with God fearing men and women in all of
his Cabinet and our great Military. God Bless America and God Bless
Israel and God Bless the World and bring PEACE.

In Jesus Name. Amen and Amen.

I pray LORD GOD of Heaven and Earth, that the suffering of the people of Iran would serve to awaken them to their need of Your Son, The Lord Jesus Christ. Our Father please speak to people in dreams of the night to awaken them to their plight and to put it on their hearts to cry out to YOUR SON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST who alone who can save them from the wicked schemes of people who have been blinded by the wicked one. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Father You are still the God of Moses who delivered your people out of bondage. You see neither man nor woman Jew or Gentile but the battle is with principalities, rulers and wickedness in high places. Your view is far greater than ours. Jesus, You conquered evil when rose from the grave. We stand with the Captain of the angel armies and join Heaven with earth locked arms marching in victory ALL to the glory and praise of our conquering King!

Lord Jesus, I pray for Your will to be done in Iran. when I look at the situation of a overbearing, totalitarian government not unlike Nazi Germany, I pray, Lord, that You pour out a tremendous portion of Holy Spirit upon the entire situation. I pray that the people of Iran, who have been treated so unfairly, will be able to experience freedom from the tyranny of their “government” Please give President Trump, the military leaders, the diplomats, the Israelites, and anyone remotely connected to the Iranian situation, the guidance and wisdom needed to accomplish your will for this IGRC. Thank you Jesus.

I feel that though we may have set back the regime’s nuclear capabilities, we simply enraged the beast and now the people under their tyrannical rule are even more greatly endangered. Please bring down this evil regime, YHVH. Please protect and defend the righteous. Please protect the Kurdish people from genocide. Continue to fan the flames of revival and awakening, as You shame Islam and it’s evil tenets. It’s ultimate expression is in hate, repression, terrorism and genocide of all dissenters – so as that becomes even more apparent to the Iranian people, may it result in them seeking You!

Heavenly Father, Please surround Elma with your Holy Spirit and penetrate the darkest regions with Your Holy Light. Give strength to those who are weak and terrified of what will come next under this cruel regime. May those who love You sense Your Presence in the midst of their trials and may you supply all their needs.
Bind the hands of the strongman and set the captives free we pray, in Jesus Name, Amen
