If America is to remain free, if America is to remain exceptional, then Americans must band together and pray for safety, security, liberty and the Constitution. It’s in our national DNA. Founders, when confronted with difficult times during the constitutional convention, turned to prayer and petition in order to smooth discussions and open doors to collaboration and cooperation. And it worked. Dave Kubal, head of Intercessors for America, says the same can happen in today’s strife-filled political environment — if only more men and women of faith would plead America’s cause to God.

The Bible says that when God leads a nation, that nation will be blessed. Yes, God blessed America and raised her up to be the leader of the world. We were a nation that reverenced God. But, what happened? We left our first love. Just as Israel, we bowed down to false idols. What makes us think that God is going to wink at our sin? We idolize leaders who curse, call people out of their names; leaders who encourage same sex marriage; and leaders who encourage women to get abortions. Really?? God is not pleased and even worse, some in the Church approve. We need to pray like Daniel. Confess the sins of our nation and ask for forgiveness. America is so divided and so is the Church. Vaccinate or not to vaccinate? The election was ‘stolen’ from Donald Trump? Every believer in Christ should know that it is GOD who raises kings and it is GOD who sets them down. We are in deep trouble until we admit man cannot help us. ONLY GOD!!!
Men and women of faith have GOT to plead with the Lord, for America! If we don’t, who will?? Yes, we have had many really bad things going on, in America, but……America has done MANY good things, too. We have to come together, in one accord, and plead and petition our God for His mercy, for His intercession. God will hear us, He will answer us. He will show us great and mighty things that we don’t know about. Our weapons are NOT carnal, but MIGHTY THROUGH GOD, to the pulling down of strongholds!! God IS the only answer to what we are going through.
Lord, wake up the Christians, wake up the pastors, all over America, lift the apathy, the deception, that many are under. Surely, by now, everyone can see that we are facing overwhelming circumstances that only You have the answers to. You have told us…..”if My people who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face, turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” Help us to do our part, we know You will do Yours.
Lord, give us wisdom and unity, as Your chosen remnant, to continue to cry out to you on behalf of our nation. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
This podcast was a great discussion and I loved the specific emphasis on our nation’s history!
Recently, my attention has been turned to:
Exodus 3:3-4: “And Moses said, “I will turn aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.” When the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”
What does it take?/what is required?/what are the conditions? for God to see: Moses “turned aside”
2 Chronicles 7:14: “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
In this day, there are many areas where God’s people must meet these conditions. Our spiritual leaders should coordinate a specific, concerted and timely effort to show God’s people how to meet these conditions through humbling ourselves, fasting and prayer. I believe this would give God’s people the opportunity for Him to speak to each one individually which would effectively change the course of this nation! (the “world” would see the Greatness of “our” God!)
I am soooo praying for collective humility, fasting and prayer in unison!
