Derek Prince wrote this profoundly true message for IFA after the assassination attempt on President Reagan. In light of The Satanic Temple’s audacious acts and the increasingly public demonic perversion on display in our culture, we thought it was time to re-run this. I believe that God really expects American Christians to raise up a tremendous volume of intercessory prayer for their nation and its leaders.
However, in order for our prayers to be effective, they must be in accord with God’s unchanging spiritual laws. I believe the first requirement for effective praying is that we repent collectively for the sinfulness of our nation. I believe the great basic spiritual problem of America is a spirit of rebelliousness. And I believe that this problem leads to two related problems, one in the realm of action, the other in the spiritual realm. In the realm of action, rebelliousness manifests itself in violence, and we’ve seen an ever increasing crescendo of violence on the American scene. In the spiritual realm, rebelliousness is always related to witchcraft. 1 Samuel 15:23 tells us that “rebellion is witchcraft.” In other words, they are closely interrelated. And so, as another result of the rebellious condition of the American people, there is the tremendous increase that we have witnessed in witchcraft, in the satanic supernatural. Therefore, in order for our prayers to be effective, we have to repent on behalf of our nation for this root problem of rebelliousness, violence and witchcraft.
As we come to God on the basis of repentance and humility for these national sins, then we have the right to intercede and to intervene into the spiritual realm and to bind and cast down the satanic spiritual powers that are at work against the well being and the prosperity of the American people.
But in a certain sense, out of all of this, I see good coming. I believe there can be a kind of spiritual backlash against Satan and against Satan’s activities that will usher in a new era of righteousness and of seeking God by American Christians. Let us pray that it may be so.

Lord, purify your church! Be our refining fire, reviving us, our congregations, our cities, our states and our nation. Bring a compelling heart wrenching, to knees dropping spirit of conviction and repentance that brings a holy walk with you in spirit and truth.
We lament and repent for the spilling of innocent blood of tens of millions of precious unborn children. We lament and repent for turning a blind eye to the estimated 50,000 women and children forced into sexual slavery yearly. We lament and repent for embracing no fault divorce which has broken untold homes and families without so much as a cry from the church. Beyond that we repent for our arrogance in deciding marriage has no value, embracing the “live-in” lie instead and now even completely redefining marriage as any two people who love each other, all the while living in denial that there will be deadly and destructive consequences. We repent for abdicating the training of our children, giving them to government schools that brazenly indoctrinate with lies which steal the identity that You created for them, even deceiving and pushing our children to accept mutilation and permanent sterilization.
We repent for the myriad of ways we have rebelled unwilling to accept any limitations on our desires and cravings. Thus we have sinned greatly in worshiping god’s of money, convenience, entitlement, entertainment, pride, unrestrained appetites, thinking we can have it all and do it all while rationalizing it as somehow good and acceptable. We repent for the church’s non confronting stance toward evil, giving ground to the enemy, allowing souls to go merrily on their way to hell rather than being willing to suffer rejection for the sake of Christ.
Help us to humble ourselves under your mighty hand, turn decisively from evil, do good, seek your peace, your face, your healing for our souls and land. Draw us to take our place in the realm of the spirit in prayer and no longer abdicate it. Teach us to use all the weapons mighty in God for pulling down demonic strongholds, imaginations, and everything that sets itself against the experience and knowledge of God. Give us pastors and church leaders who will preach and stand on the full counsel and Word of God, that we may worship you in spirit and in truth. Make us people of integrity who walk in true holiness.

Our Father in heaven where justice and righteousness reigns we come boldly to the throne of grace and mercy, asking that in our world here on earth, your rule comes and reigns righteousness in our government, schools, churches, homes, media, and every segment of our lives. In the Name of Jesus.
I have been convicted of some areas of rebellion in my own life & have confessed them to the Lord & repented of them as well. I’m so very thankful that He is a great & merciful God, faithful & just, & forgives us when we come to Him repentantly.

Heavenly Father we come before you with a need for you to take control over our country and the world. The evils spirits are taking over our schools and our precious children. Please take over the government people who are voting for this evil that’s destroying our lives and our country. Bring every government person that’s voting for the destruction of our lives. You help me with evil spirits and I know you can cast the evil spirits from the body of every parent and teacher, our government people who want’s the kids to have the transgender treatment. I think our biggest spiritual problem is that the majority of folks who say they are Christians don’t read or study the Bible; they don’t know what it says. Those who don’t know Scripture and it’s application will be subject to falling for the delusions of the evil one. It is already happening. We have to be in the Word every day, not just on Sunday.
I agree with Barbara as well. I became a Christian at age 24 and am now age 79. Was a pastor’s wife for nineteen years. I believe the Christian church has failed to teach the foundations of the Christian faith. And I believe that many people who attend church have failed to make studying, understanding, and meditating on God’s Word a priority in their lives.
Father please forgive me for my sin of not making your Word a high priority in my personal daily life earlier in my life. Help my hunger for your Word now ignite hunger in my family and friends’ lives. Help us live righteous and focussed lives despite the world’s many distractions. Amen
Barbara is so right! The church has been asleep for too long. Ephesians 5:11-14 is spot on. It’s time to wake up and says it’s not right, be no longer silent. Pray first then take a stand.
I believe what he said is true, but I also see the church has failed in teaching the foundation of God’s written Word and discipleling young people so they will become the next generation of spiritual leaders in the church.
Dear LORD, I ask your forgiveness for the church of today for our failure to raise up young men and women to teach and disciple the next generation as God told us to do in Deuteronomy 6:6-9. We have been more focused on entertaining than training them in Your Word. I pray that you will help each of us to do what we can to study and teach Your Word, and I pray that You will help us to seek Your will and way to do this. Please give us more mature spiritual leaders and help us to support and encourage the ones that we do have. Thank You for Your love and forgiveness.
Think our biggest spiritual problem as a country is to develop daily closeness to Our Lord Jesus. We are not ready for the day until we feel the anointing of Holy Spirit. Then we must maintain our closeness throughout the day. Work together for good with fellow Christians and be positive in all that we do. Follow Jesus’s earthly example of ministry as an overall guide for life. Know you that the Lord He is God. Matthew 16:24 “…If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. “ Let’s be truly committed.
Pride is our biggest problem. America acts like it is God, and has no need for the Almighty. A very dangerous place to be. As Bob Dylan said, “A hard rain is gonna fall.” Judgement is coming soon. Forgive us O Lord!
Father God, we repent of our national spirit of rebellion. Even some Christians are starting to accept Satan’s lies about gender and sexuality. Lord, convict them. Convict all of us of any sin in our lives. We ask, Holy Spirit, that you sweep across our nation, convicting people of sin, righteousness and judgment, as Jesus told in the book of John. We stand against demonic influence in our country, and we plead the blood of Christ against Baal, Molech and Ishtar and all other demons who are attempting to captivate and degrade our culture. Send the host of heaven to battle them and defeat them in Jesus’ name.
There are also world-wide Satanic Worshiper meetings planned for June 21st, and July 21st to release hell on earth in inconceivable ways. May 21st was the beginning of this horrible plan when WHO was given rights over America. For these meetings I’m praying that all of them will be paralyzed, dazed, and confused, and unable to get out of bed on their planned meeting days. I will pray the same for these Satanic Temple goers. There power cannot hold a candle to the power of the great almighty Father God in Heaven!
Leaving God out of our schools for after that it is like a domino effect with everything else
We need to pray IN HUMILITY WITH CONFESSION AND REPENTANCE. then pray that it WILL be so according to GOD’s WILL. The time is short and I praise God for all of the truth that He is revealing concerning evil doing. I thank God for protection, for people who are standing up against the evil, for people being saved every day, for what God is teaching me through His word every day and for strength to carry on. Lord God, the desire for resentment and revenge against the competent, the talented, the industrious and even just those more fortunate in life is being called EQUITY.
Lord, bring down this perverse ideology elevating division as Diversity, Indoctrination as inclusion and exclusion in the place of true Equality. May the Truth of your word and the structure of human government YOU ordain be throughout the land. Amen.

I praise you for who you are and I repent on behalf of myself and my country, asking you to forgive our sin of violence (especially toward the innocent and the unborn), rebellion and witchcraft. As a student of Christian Science it states that mental malpractice that slanders are used to destroy a culture. This effect is often intent and disables leading edge science and institutions that would endanger the oligarchic system. The depopulation dogma is one of extreme
mental malpractice. It defines humanity and human development as a poison to the planet. It slanders the precious nature of humanity as the tallest form of life on the planet and it turned America into a surrogate kingdom of mass slavery!

I agree completely and would like to add 1. Apathy (Derek Prince called it apostate Christianity) – lost first love , lukewarm, dull. 2. Unforgiveness, bitterness. 3. Sexual Immorality (one life in the church and another outside i.e. pornography, adultery, sex before or outside marriage). II Chronicles 7:13 – drought, pestilence etc. leads to vs. 14 – If MY people… May God grant us repentance – 11 Tim. 2: 25,26 and may we honor, hallow and bless His Holy Name. Amen.

God introduced Himself first and foremost as a God of Life (Gen 1) and wants us to align fully with His unapologetic and uncompromising view on this. From that foundation, the 7 mountains can be built upon it.
I see a great number of Christians and Christian leaders in church, but without Christ in them, and singing hymns, without Him being the Centrepiece.
Lord, if I can see this, it means I am seeing myself, filled with Pride, without the humility and humbleness of a surrendered life with you and for you.
This makes me part of the problem of being a vessel for witchcraft to exist.
