Abortion was the number one cause of death worldwide in 2018, with more than 41 million children killed before birth, Worldometers reports.
As of December 31, 2018, there have been some 41.9 million abortions performed in the course of the year, Worldometers revealed. By contrast, 8.2 million people died from cancer in 2018, 5 million from smoking, and 1.7 million died of HIV/AIDS….
It also records the total number of abortions in the world, based on the latest statistics on abortions published by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Globally, just under a quarter of all pregnancies (23 percent) were ended by abortion in 2018, and for every 33 live births, ten infants were aborted.
There were more deaths from abortion in 2018 than all deaths from cancer, malaria, HIV/AIDS, smoking, alcohol, and traffic accidents combined….
The year 2018 also saw the repeal of Ireland’s Eighth Amendment, one of the last laws recognizing and protecting the right to life of unborn children….
The figures were released just before the Christian celebration of the Feast of the Holy Innocents on December 28, commemorating the decree by King Herod that all male children in Israel under the age of two were to be killed.
The annual March for Life in the United States will take place in Washington, D.C., on January 18, 2019 with the theme “Unique from Day One.”
The stated purpose of the march is to end abortion by “uniting, educating, and mobilizing pro-life people in the public square.
The annual march commemorates the January 22, 1973 Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade that invalidated 50 state laws and made abortion legal and available on demand throughout the United States. (Excerpts from Thomas D. Williams, Phd article on Breitbart News)

if I were a good Christian, I would be better at this. I am not as mature as I should be. But I get stuck. I tell myself I’ll get better at intercession. Then I get distracted, memories sneak in. I need to move past this. This year I will be better organized. This year I will keep a better attitude. I will be able to pray like these others. My secret of not honestly interceding for these little ones and the mothers.

Lord God, we stand guilty and ashamed before you as we choose to perpetuate a global holocaust on preborn infants. Cleanse the nations of this grave sin with the power of the blood of the Perfect Lamb. Forgive us, Father, for we don’t fully comprehend this great sin as we walk in darkness and deception. Send Holy Spirit to convict of sin, righteousness and judgment. Awaken parents to full awareness of the sin of infanticide. Release the fear of the Lord upon them. Bring them to a full realization of their actions and reveal Your great mercy to them. Heal their hearts as Your angels take charge of the little ones. Rebuke the evil one. Cause true repentance and salvation to triumph over this tragedy.
Thank you Father for those who speak your truth defending life and not interfering with your creative purposes. Awaken us from our apathy as the deceit of Gen 3 continues to launch our society into the worship of ” our rights as independent gods” with no moral or spiritual obedience in accountability to God”. Our desire to be compassionate, Father, asks how many of the 41 million were to save the mother. We repent and ask that You convict our country and churches. In Jesus name and for Your glory Father.
Heavenly Father, I repent on behalf of our nation’s sin of abortion. We have chosen to sacrifice innocent children still in the womb so that we are free to have sexual relations anytime with whom ever we choose. We have not followed Your Word. We do not value the gift of marriage that You created for us. Father, may the Truth be revealed to our leaders in the church and government. May it be revealed to Your people. May we humble ourselves, seek Your face, and turn from our wicked ways so that You will hear from heaven and heal our land. (II Chronicles 7:14)
Father, may we learn to love as You love us. May we be holy as You are holy. May we follow Your Word and Your Way. Thank You for cleansing us from all unrighteousness through Jesus precious blood. Amen

Thank You for those who stand for life — ordinary as well as powerful people who donate, volunteer, vote, run for office, write and pray. May their efforts educate the uninformed, rescue the desperate, and save the little children.
Please forgive modern-day Herods who promote the murder of in-the-womb children. Do they not know what they are doing? Please bring them to a knowledge of the truth, if they are ignorant and blind. You alone know their hearts.
Please remove and replace unrepentant Herods who sit in the halls of justice, Congress and academia or who stand behind pulpits. May their loss of positions awaken them to appreciate the true value of each and every life.

A threat of apathy threatens me, as the last sebastian of safety in the womb is destroyed in Ireland. Lord, fill the faithful Catholics with your Holy Spirit, cause them to rise up and take back this ground the enemy has taken. i pray this for Your own in America, that we would rise up and take back the ground the enemy has taken. Lord, may Ireland look at the crime and murder rate here and know that is coming to her boarders as well, with this decision. Lead us all, world wide, in repentance for the horror of these statistics that show the sickness of our relationship with you, our God. Forgive us Lord, free us from our disobedience, bring us to repentance, cause us to hunger for righteousness, may we follow your leading dear Lord, In Jesus name, Amen
